Merging site B into A, then renaming A to B's domain. Stage them or do both at once?
Setup: Two sites in the same category, overlapping product lines but not identical. A is larger; B is smaller but owns the name you'd actually want. Merging B into A, then renaming A to B's domain.
Plan: Build a complete URL list. Use rank data to pick winners where A and B overlap. Merge the content and rename the domain in a single cutover, every old URL single-hopping to its final home.
Question: would you stage these, or do them together? Staging means B's URLs move twice. Doing them together means two changes on the same day. Wanna talk me out of the latter?
Another found roll of film.
These photos are from a roll of film that I discovered at a thrift store. Does anyone recognize the band or the location pictured?
Edit: The location had been determined and the musicians found!! I've shared the photos with as many of them as I could get in contact with. The guitar player and singer have been married for 20 years!!

Has anyone here successfully retrained themselves after years of using an unusual WASD hand position?
My friend learned to play WASD games with his thumb on the S key, so anytime he wants to jump it requires a big move, and needless to say he’s not as good as he could be.
He is not a spring chicken, and while he makes up excuses like, “My hand doesn’t stretch that way,” he has long, slender fingers and is very dexterous in other ways. I think it’s just years of shitty muscle memory.
Any advice as to how I could get him to rip the Band-Aid off and practice doing it the right way? He might suck a lot more for a little while after switching, but a few hours of practice, spread out over at least a couple of weeks, would get him over the hump.
Has anyone here successfully retrained themselves after years of using an unusual WASD hand position? I’d like to be able to point him to some anecdotes for encouragement.
“Alexa, exit Alexa plus” opts you out and turns off this horrid “upgrade“
I beta tested Alexa plus a few months ago and gave up on that train wreck after a couple of days. Now that they’re rolling out that “upgrade“ again, it might be handy for people to know that it is easy to turn it off without poking through nebulous app settings. There’s no guarantee that they won’t try to turn it on again in the future but for the time being it’s easier than ever to turn off. Good luck.
San Diego public invited to comment on proposed Topgolf and Waterfront Park Project
The comment period for a proposed redevelopment of East Harbor Island for a Topgolf and Waterfront Park Project is open, Port of San Diego officials announced Friday (July 10, 2026).
The port published a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the project, with the public comment period open through Aug. 24.
The project, if approved, would entail a 10.1-acre public waterfront park with a promenade, plaza areas, playgrounds, restrooms and public art. It also includes a 16.5-acre section designated as an entertainment district, with 9.8 of those acres set aside for the popular arcade/driving range company Topgolf. The remainder is slated as "eatertainment" concepts, to be determined by a competitive public solicitation process.
Additionally, the proposal calls for realignment of Liberator Way with new public parking, sidewalks, planting buffers and reconfiguration of adjacent intersections.
No project has yet been approved, and comments collected on the draft EIR will be used to formulate a final EIR. According to a port statement, the EIR and a Port Master Plan Amendment -- if the port's master plan isn't certified -- will likely be brought before the Board of Port Commissioners in late 2026.
According to the port, for the Topgolf portion, staff will bring an option to lease agreement to the board as well.
The site for the project is adjacent to Harbor Police Headquarters and across from the airport. It is currently used for off-airport surface parking, rental car facility operations and temporary airport construction support operations.
The draft EIR is available for public review online at portofsandiego.org/public-records/port-updates/notices-disclosures/ceqa-documents, or in person at the Port of San Diego's Office of the District Clerk, 3165 Pacific Highway. The San Diego Public Library's Central branch, 330 Park Blvd., will also have copies of the draft EIR.

I might nudge a little here and there before hanging on the wall. Had to cut the panels for a better fit. It looked OK without cutting but better with a little more flexibility.
Buddy of mine is a mortician. He says the last thing he does before closing the coffin lid is tie the shoelaces of the corpse together. That way if there’s a zombie apocalypse it will be hilarious and we’ll be safe.
That is the Comic Sans of maps. it also looks like it was done by AI with the way the details are just...off.

timesofsandiego.comThis reads like a deleted scene from a really specific horror movie where the monster is just social anxiety and condiments.
Look, a slow mayonnaise dump is fine. Eye contact is fine. But a slow mayonnaise dump while holding eye contact? That's a bridge too far.
Like who would make a sidewalk in that random shape?
Unloading odd lot of 40 tapes + cases
Shrinkwrapped notchcut/promo Kinks concept album, French kids music, 15/16 speed Reader’s Digest, *parts* of four books on tape, a bunch of old school radio reruns, other tapes, and a load of empty cases. The Canadian version of the Trio album *would* be a good find but it doesn’t have the J card and the label is torn off of one side. Ships media mail anywhere in the US. I’ve got lots of confirmed sales/trades on r/LetsTradePedals - i’ll link to that in a comment if requested. First offer of $25 gets it. If nobody offers that, whoever offers the most, at least covering shipping, they’re yours! Happy taping.

Gazelle last sold the T10+ in 2023. The current T10 LTD is of nearly identical geometry but it is a much slower class 1 ebike. It sells new for ~$3500. This class-3 Gazelle Medeo T10+ is listed at $1200.

Gazelle marketed this for people 5‘6“ to 5‘10“. I think they got the lower end right (if you’re 5‘4“ with long legs maybe it would work for you?) But on the tall end, people 6‘1“ have said the bike fits them just fine. So let’s call it 5‘6“ to 6 feet?
