Finally seeing improvements in my skin/acne

I'm 32F and have had mild-moderate facial acne my whole adult life (several blackheads and pimples at any given time, and just bumpy, dull skin, prone to blocked pores). Skin tends to be on the oily side. It's been so hard to find the right products and routine for my skin. But now I'm finally seeing improvements. This is what I'm doing that I think is helping and just wanted to share:

Morning:

- Cleanse with the Ordinary glucoside foaming cleanser

- Apply the Ordinary niacinamide + zinc serum

- Apply QV oil-free facial moisturiser

- Apply SPF if going outside (I've been using QV facial SPF 30, but not entirely happy with how greasy it is)

Evening:

- Cleanse with the Ordinary glucoside foaming cleanser

- Apply either the Ordinary Azelaic acid 10% OR Bubble salicylic acid serum (alternate nights)

- Apply QV oil-free facial moisturiser

PLUS healthy diet, multivitamin, staying hydrated, and avoiding wearing foundation.

A moment of silence for the hourglass high-rise ladies in this mid-rise crisis.

I've been out shopping for jeans at shopping malls twice lately looking for a new pair of jeans. I cannot find a single pair that look good on me, and I've never had this problem before. I feel like 90% of options at the moment are mid-rise, which just doesn't suit my body type.

I started tracking basal body temperature for the first time, and it's improved my sleep

I'm 32F and started tracking BBT to track ovulation and understand my cycle better. I didn't realise my body temperature varies up to a whole degree depending on where I'm at in my cycle. It made me realise why some nights I wake up too hot and other nights I sleep fine (even when the temperature outside is the same). I just never made the connection before! Now I know when to sleep with an extra blanket, or put the fan on for better sleep. What an unexpected win!

I'm curious about what female NT adult friendships are really like

As an autistic woman, I've struggled to feel satisfied in friendships during adulthood. I often see depictions of female friendships on TV where the friends will just pick up the phone and call each other whenever, see each other every week, text every day, visit each other's houses... I've just never had a female friendship like that in adulthood and it's really hard to believe that what I see on TV could actually be realistic. What are your friendships like and are depictions on TV realistic?

Anyone TTC using a cup and syringe?

I've had severe pelvic floor dysfunction / vaginismus / vulvar vestibulitis for 10 years and can't have intercourse. But I didn't think that should stop me TTC. A syringe is small enough to insert without too much pain at least. Just curious if anyone else is using this method and if you've come across any tips to increase success?

Albino Magpie!

My parents spotted an albino magpie in a cemetery in Adelaide last week (maybe a ghost!?). Sorry for the bad photo quality. Like I said, my parents took this. 😆 But definitely a magpie.

Hidden Gems

Diamonds in the Rough is so aptly named, it's just full of absolute bangers that can get overlooked because it's not a "proper" album. Another "hidden gem" I'm currently obessed with is Paradigm from The Stage. What are your favourite hidden gems (from their entire discography)? 💎
