I have gone through a few Reddit post on this topic. However, my interpretation of these ages are a little different as I am not going according to the ages of the actors casted for these roles.

So, wanted to put this on record.

Freya was taken by Dahlia in 977 when she was 5 years old. Finn at that time was about 4 years old, and Esther was pregnant with Elijah. Technically, there is almost a 1-year gap between Freya and Finn and almost a 4-year gap between Finn and Elijah.

After this, Mikael and Esther travel from the Old World to the New World. Esther also needs time to settle there, meet Ansel, fall in love with him, and eventually be mentally prepared to bear him a son. In that case, I think it would make more sense if there were around 4-5 years between Elijah and Klaus.

Also, there is not much of an age difference between Kol and Rebekah.

In TVD, Rebekah was shown as a teenager. In my perspective, her age was approximately the same as that of the Mystic Falls gang. But she was younger than Kol. So that’s there. I’m presuming there is only around a 1-year gap between Kol and Rebekah.

In my head, the siblings’ ages when they became vampires (barring Freya) in 1001 AD would be approximately:

Freya - 28
Finn - 27
Elijah - 23
Klaus - 18
Kol - 17
Rebekah - 16

The age gaps between the siblings would be:

Freya and Finn - 1 year
Finn and Elijah - 4 years
Elijah and Klaus - 4-5 years
Klaus and Kol - About 1 year
Kol and Rebekah - About 1 year

These are obviously approximate ages and age gap that I’m thinking. What ages do you think the Mikaelson siblings were when they became vampires?

TLDR:

There was a dialogue stated by Rebekah that they had a werewolf pack as their neighbours in the neighbouring village and that they lived peacefully alongside them for about 20 years. So, Klaus should be around that age.

TO S3E1 - Rebekah said they had been on the run since autumn. It was at the time late winter/early spring 1002, making their turn date autumn, around November 1001, sometime after the events of the S2E5 flashback.

I’m planning to write a fanfiction and I don’t want the timeline to be skewed. I have also realised that, I will have to abide by flashbacks that we’ve already been shown in TVD S3 and S4.

However, I can modify the flashbacks shown in TO accordingly to create some consistency because the S3 and S4 of TVD was already telecast. So technically, the writers have to focus on maintaining the timeline that have been already established before to ensure consistency.

1001: Esther turns her children into vampires. They become Original vampires in Mystic Falls. Mikael discovers that Klaus is Ansel’s child. He kills the pack and Ansel. Klaus kills Esther. The Mikaelsons flee Mystic Falls to escape Mikael. Instead of showing that they travelled to Europe, the siblings run away and remain in North America.

1001–1035: Mikaelson siblings are busy trying to escape Mikael.

1035: The Mikaelsons return to Mystic Falls. Ayana is alive and aging. She has preserved Esther’s body. The Mikaelsons get all their belongings, the Grimoire, Esther's Body and stay there for a while.

1037: Finn meets Sage in Mystic Falls and falls in love with her. Their relationship remains secret, and Finn sneaks away from his siblings to meet his “tawdry lady friend” in the centre of Mystic Falls.

1040: People start noticing that they are not aging. Mikael here’s such rumours. He travels to Mystic Falls. He has gotten too close to the family, forcing the Mikaelson siblings to leave North America and travel to Europe. Finn brings Sage with him. She was around 19 years old then.

1042: Mikaelsons meet Lucien, Aurora, and Tristan (Trinity) in Europe.

1042-1043: Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah turn them into vampires. The Mikaelson siblings discover that they have the ability to create vampires.

Finn is deeply in love with Sage. He doesn’t want to lose Sage. He doesn’t want her to age. However, he has been reluctant to turn Sage. But, Sage has been trying to convince him.

1045: Mikaelsons stay with the Trinity. However, they are not able to conceal the identity for long. So, they decide to compel their first line of vampires impersonate them. They also decided that it would be easier to have a decoy to escape Mikael.

1050: Sage finally convinces him. Finn turns a Sage into a vampire. She is around 29 years old when she was turned into a vampire. This means that still is about 900 years old as mentioned in a TVD. And we can modify the ages of the first line of vampires. Also, we can just presume that the ages were rounded off rather than being exact to the date.

In that sense, the Trinity is older than Sage.

1114: Mikaelsons are in Italy when they encounter the Brotherhood of the Five. During this encounter, Sage is not present with them.

The Five dagger Finn, Elijah, Kol, and Rebekah. Klaus cannot be daggered because he is part werewolf, despite his werewolf side being bound by Esther. Klaus kills the Five and removes the daggers from Elijah, Kol, and Rebekah. Finn remains daggered.

1114–2010: Finn remains daggered in his coffin for approximately 900 years. Sage “takes care of herself” while she waits for Finn.

2010 / TVD S3: Finn is finally undaggered and reunited with Sage after approximately 900 years of separation.

TLDR; EDIT:

A. Mikaelsons go ⁠back to Mystic Falls because they are feeling nostalgic. After all, they were all children when they fled from their father.

B. Even if they saw the white oak tree, they could simply burn it down again. Then, after they leave, another white oak tree could grow in its place because nature always finds a way to restore balance. So, the first time they burned the tree, it still grew back. If they burn it again, it could simply grow back again.

C. Also, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a completely new Viking colony. It could simply be a new settlement where more people are living, whether they are Vikings or not, especially since the werewolf pack moved away after Mikael slaughtered them. Else, it could be the same Viking settlement that consist of the descendants of whatever Vikings were left after what happened a 100 years earlier.

1114: Sage tries to come and find Finn. However, since Sage herself mentioned in TVD that Rebekah was “an Original bitch who treated me like a peasant whore,” there isn’t much Sage could do. She tries to protect Finn and tell the siblings that she will take him with her, but ends up getting into a fight and realises that the siblings might end up killing her. So, to be there when Finn eventually gets out, she stays away and waits for him. (I will have to work on the story here.)

I’m trying to write a fanfiction, and I want to understand where Sage fits in compared to the Trinity (Lucien, Aurora, and Tristan).

In TVD, it is shown that Finn and Sage fell in love and that Finn later turned Sage into a vampire after he became an Original.

But here’s where I’m confused due to the flashback narration on TO.

When and where exactly did Finn meet Sage? Did Finn meet Sage before or after he became a vampire?

In S3, Sage mentions that Finn “Back when you used to have to sneak away from your siblings to see your tawdry lady friend" in Mystic Falls. Then in S4, Klaus mentioned that they were all daggered by the Five Hunters in Italy, and because he was the Original Hybrid, the dagger didn’t affect him. The others, however, remained daggered, and Finn was never undaggered.

If Finn and Sage fell in love as humans, was Sage living in the same Mystic Falls village before the Mikaelsons became vampires?

When exactly did Finn turn Sage into a vampire? Did Finn turn Sage immediately after becoming an Original, decades later, or centuries later?

If Finn turned Sage in Mystic Falls, does that mean the Originals secretly returned there after fleeing from Mikael?

If Sage remained human after the Mikaelsons fled, how did Finn reunite with her later?

Did Finn turn Sage before or after the Originals fled to Europe to escape Mikael?

Is Sage older than the Trinity, or is she younger?

If she’s younger, does that mean the Originals returned to Mystic Falls after fleeing, Finn met Sage, and then turned her before the Five Hunters daggered the Mikaelsons?

If that’s the case, where exactly were the Originals when they were daggered by the Five? And where was Sage during all of this?

I feel like I’m missing something, or is this actually a plot hole? There are just so many questions.

Even, if it’s a plot hole, can someone please explain the timeline and answer the above question?

There is a male Indian street cat that has been constantly meowing for the past few days. He is definitely less than a year old, probably around six months old.
We’ve tried giving him:
Dry cat food
Milk
Biscuits

Could this be because he needs attention? If so, how do we give him attention if we can’t safely pet or cuddle him?

Or is it possible that he’s reached the age where he needs to be neutered?

Hi, I have some queries regarding Dominic.

We know that Dominic is one of the followers of Inadu (the Hollow). In S4E6, Elijah rips his heart out, and then in S4E7 he is back alive. Later, Klaus rips his heart out again and separates his head from his body.

So, how was the Hollow, while inside Hope’s body, able to resurrect Dominic?

I mean, Dominic was not in the Ancestral Well because he was not a New Orleans witch, and he was not consecrated. So how was he actually brought back? Even though his physical body was there, his soul was gone, right?

HOLLOW HAS THE PHYSICAL BODY, BUT HOW DID SHE GET THE SOUL?

By then, the Other Side had already collapsed in TVD S5, and Hell was destroyed in TVD S8 by Bonnie Bennett.
So how was the Hollow able to bring Dominic back? Did she create another dimension using her sacrifice and dark magic to trap souls as well?

Would that same magic also allow the Hollow to resurrect dead witches and vampires as well, provided she had the ashes of those witches, werewolves, or vampires?

Can someone please explain this? I’m trying to write an alternative universe fanfiction, and I am not able to understand how this works.

For people who don’t recognise - This is Sage. Her role was played by Cassidy Freeman, and she appeared in only 3 episodes of The Vampire Diaries.

Sage fell in love with Finn in the 11th century and was Finn’s one true love. She is the only person who Finn had desired because they wanted to live for an eternity. However, their happiness was short-lived because Finn was a dagger by his siblings and kept in a coffin for over 900 years.

When she finally reunited with Finn after more than 900 years, Finn had already lost his desire to continue living as a vampire and had become suicidal. He eventually died at the hands of Matt Donovan. She literally watched her one true love him turn to ash before she eventually died because she was from Finn’s sireline.
