Is this + an HDMI cord going to my TV + the official Steam Deck charger all I need to use the Deck as a controller and play on my TV?

I keep seeing online all this stuff about getting a special charger so that it stays powered while plugged in, but can’t I just use the one the Deck came with?

I thought using third party chargers for devices is bad for their batteries but I don’t know that much about tech

Also, does the display dim when it’s plugged into the TV like that? I feel like it’d get to be distracting if it was also on the deck’s screen

Edit: awesome, thanks everyone :>)

putting all of these perfectly 2B-sized tubes all over the map but making it impossible to crawl around inside them / slide through them is CRUEL game design 😔

let me in >:(

Best Mimir lines? This one has got to be one of my personal favorites. His delivery really sells it

I love him so much

Which enemies exactly is this referring to? There’s like 1 major poison area in the game and the mini boss in it certainly isn’t very poison-resistant 💀

*Those who live in Poisonous Areas:*

No clue what this is all about. Could be that Starfish is bugged and it isn't the Recruits, or that it's unrelated to Convalescence entirely. Either way, they were unwilling to be silenced any longer

Title. I’d just like to hide games from my “recent games” view on my steam deck, not hide it from my library altogether lol

Also, while I’m asking, is there a way to display them other than this scrolling left to right deal (like, a grid view or something)?

Thank you.

Found a fix!!! Going to leave this post here so that if someone else is having the same issue they can find the solution here

When the first tutorial prompt appears telling you to open the select menu, instead bring up the on-screen keyboard on the Deck (steam button + X). Click “I” and then the different button prompts it displays on the keyboard.

When I did this, the keyboard disappeared a few times after I clicked different keys. If that happens, just click Steam button + X again to bring it back. After the tutorial is done you can exit out normally and everything appears to work as it ought to! Hope that helps someone!

For some reason, every time the tutorial prompt pops up, select menu and the normal menu are layered on top of one another (in a glitchy looking way), and then editing the menu means you permanently can’t open either menu again (making the only way to close the game being to shut it down entirely without saving). Basically a soft lock

I found a Steam forum thread about this with not much in the way of solutions. The one thing I tried that I saw there was to “disable steam input” in the game properties -> controller tab. Didn’t seem to do anything. I can’t play through the tutorial on my computer and then continue on the deck because my computer is a Mac 😭

In this current state it’s totally unplayable.

Thank you.

Edit: tried again and still no luck. It appears to happen the second you open up the select menu upon getting the tutorial prompt. The start and select menus become merged and depending on the buttons you click you can interact with both of them.

But then, regardless of what you click, once you exit the menu neither can be accessed again.

Title. I have like ~120 luck, but after a loooooong time fighting draugrs in the training area I barely ever triggered the effect. If I had to guess it was maybe one in every 20 or so hits? Maybe less even?

Is there some amount of luck I could reach that would make it somewhat consistent (1/10 chance or higher is acceptable for me)? If there isn’t, I feel like I’m just a lot better off using the waist and wrist armor from this set + healing off of stun grabs chest plate.

I like the idea of potentially healing from every hit, and I don’t mind it being chance-based. But this is farrrrr too low.

If there is a magic number I should be looking for, what’s a good way to get to it? Im up to the part in the game where I just got the spear. No spoilers please

Thank you
