Going from an aftermarket head unit to oem.

I know this sounds crazy but I’m going to go from an aftermarket head unit to an oem head unit. I already have an oem unit ready to go. My big question though is whether or not I’d have to cut the wires and splice in an oem pigtail? I currently have a double din CarPlay unit so I think I’d definitely have to put an oem amplifier in to make the old unit work again. Anyone have any advice for going this route? There’s only videos or write ups of doing the opposite.

Go box 1 portable basic med kit

My girlfriend got me the go box 1 as a gift and I think it’s so cool but I had a hard time figuring out what to use it for. I’ve always liked the idea of starting to keep a basic med kit in my car and thought this would be a good application for the new gift.

Doors don’t lock or unlock sometimes

It seems like this is an old Toyota thing but when it’s hot outside my key doesn’t unlock all the doors when I press unlock. Sometimes only the driver opens, sometimes only the passenger opens. Sometimes none. The same thing happens with locking. I have to manually click all the locks down before I leave or manually get in and unlock for any passengers. I’m assuming this is the door lock actuators or something failing? Has anyone fixed this issue?

USB extension?

As you can see I’m running a hub from my work laptop via usb-c that runs 2 monitors, 1 wireless mouse, the laptops charger, and Ethernet. I don’t like how short the cable is for the hub and would like it to be at least a couple of feet so I can tuck it under the desk and keep things tidy. My question is, is that possible? I see generic cable extensions on Amazon but im assuming I’d need one compatible with transferring data and power. My hope is that I can get a high quality cable that allows data and power and it just works but I’m not sure. What do you guys think

Wetlands brown re-release

I know it’s impossible to give a definitive answer but do you think yeti will re-release wetland brown? I ask because my other two favorite colors (camp green and Nordic blue) haven’t been re-released in a very long time.

Anyone use their hot shot for cold or iced drinks?

I know it’s marketed as a hot drink bottle, but the spill proof lid is very intriguing.

To anyone who has the Colster, is it worth it? Thinking about getting a set for beach days for my girlfriend and I.

Post a pic with these wheels

If anyone is running these wheels post a pic! I’m thinking of grabbing a set. I have 3rd gen Tacoma wheels on mine that I’m sick of. I want to get a period correct wheel. I would get the oem 5 pointed star wheel but I cannot find any in my area and I’ve been looking for a while. I’ve found a few of these ones for great prices.

Bad product or needs adjustment?

I got a new headlight housing and it came with the middle piece aiming downwards. Can that be adjusted or is this just junk?

Advice

So my 3 year old labradoodle threw up blood last night along with plastic bits. This afternoon, she threw up again with blood but not as much as last night. However, today’s had more plastic in it. Last night she got a hold of some plastic wireless over ear headphones and then chewed it up and the other piece of plastic in her throw up is unknown. I took her to the vet after the throw up today, but the vet is ordering x-rays and wanting to hospitalize her tonight on fluids and then potentially take her into surgery.
**The first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon. **the second two pictures are from this afternoon right before bringing her to the vet.

Intermittent rough idle in gear

2001 2WD 5vzfe. No CEL. So far I’ve cleaned the throttle body (not fully off the truck, just took off the air intake hose) replaced the spark plugs with dual electrode Denso, replaced the spark plug wires with Denso, cleaned the MAF, and inspected for any cracks in hoses. My rpm’s are good. They stay at about 650-700 and don’t jump or dip. Sometimes it’ll just feel/sound a little rougher than normal then go back to being calm. Any ideas on where I should go next? I think I’m going to replace the fuel filter since I have no clue when it’s been done last. I also do not know the history of the injectors or coil packs.

Deodorant WITH aluminum recommendations

I have tried salt and stone deodorant which I absolutely love their scents but aluminum free deodorant does NOT work for me. I switched back to old spice which works great but I do not like their scents. Can anyone recommend good aluminum deodorants that have scents similar to salt and stone?
Thanks

It’s very expensive but very cool for what it is. I wonder if it’d work on our trucks. Would be extremely cool to have the original radio with full Bluetooth functionality. I’m curious on what you guys think.

Do these ever go on sale? I’m looking to buy the automotive 1200 psi 1.8 gpm model. I’ve heard of ryobi days but does that guarantee a sale on this unit? If so, when does the sale occur?
Thanks!!

How big/hard of a job is it to drop the gas tank on these? I have a small Evap leak throwing a code and I’m going to replace all the shit on top of the tank while it’s down. I do not want to cut a whole in the floor and get to it that way. That’s not an option for me. I want to do it the right way

Hello I’m not sure if this is the right sub for a question like this but I’m getting this code right now on my 2007 ram 1500 5.7 L. I have already replaced the gas cap with a new oem piece and I have also replaced the purge valve solenoid with a new one from mopar. For any of you that have dealt with this code, where would you look next? Thanks
