Can I sue my cat for emotional distress?

Hello pawyers, human here. A while back, I decided to take my cat outside on a harness in order to get him some more exercise and mental stimulation. Unfortunately, he got spooked and managed to slip out of the harness and run away. I was an absolute wreck while he was gone. Today, after the 4 and a half most agonizing months of my life, I finally managed to bring him home. Anyway, I realize this is highly irregular, but I want to sue him for the emotional distress that he caused. I hope to gain 10,000 hours of cuddling and 1 million hugs and kisses. Do you think I have a case?

4 spots left $20 Sleeper/Leaguesafe Dynasty startup SuperFlex/PPR/Start 10/30 man rosters Newbie Friendly

Hi all, I've got 4 spots available in a 12 team dynasty startup. First come first served. Buy-in is $20. The first two years (so $40 total) will be due up front in order to make sure people come back for year 2, and payments will be handled through LeagueSafe. Slow draft will start as soon as everyone's paid in. No defense/kicking/return yardage, standard full PPR scoring. If you've got any questions feel free to ask.

Buy/hold/sell on Rashid Shaheed?

I'm finding myself really not knowing what to do with Shaheed this season. On the one hand, he's a talented player and is the clear #2 option in what we expect to be a solid offense. The contract that Seattle gave him shows that they plan to get him more involved in the offense after a full off-season with the team. He'll also probably get a few return TDs every year, which increases his spike week potential a bit. On the other hand, I don't think we can just completely hand wave away his lack of production last season after being traded to Seattle. On top of that, he's the type of deep threat that lends itself to a lot of week-to-week inconsistency, plus last year was the first time in his career that he played a full season.

So where are we at with Shaheed, is he an underrated flex/depth option, or just a best ball play who doesn't have much value in traditional formats?

Has anyone had any success sealing and filtering the U1?

I'm looking into getting back into the 3d printing hobby after a few years away, and I've zeroed in on the U1 as the printer to have at the moment. The issue is that I currently live in a studio apartment, so even though I plan on printing primarily PLA and PETG, I still don't want all those fumes going directly into the air that my cat and I breathe 24/7. I see that there's a popular top cover mod using an Ikea crate, and I'm thinking it should be pretty easy to DIY an exhaust fan with a carbon and fine particle filter onto that. However, I'm wondering how effective such a solution would even be on a printer that wasn't designed to be fully-enclosed. Has anyone tried something similar and can report back with the results? Can more be done to seal around the edges? I don't need it to be 100% effective, but I just don't want my entire apartment to reek of hot plastic every time I print.

P.S. I've seen the official cover that's available for pre-order, but paying $150 for a solution that won't arrive until the end of October doesn't seem very enticing to me.

Feeling immense guilt over bringing in another cat

My soul cat, Kit Cat (aka Kitty, pics 1 and 2) went missing a little over 2 weeks ago when he slipped free of his harness. I have been searching everywhere for him, putting up flyers, posting online, and putting out live traps. One of my neighbors spotted him last Sunday right near where he disappeared (I'm sure it was him because she got a video), and another neighbor thought he spotted him a few blocks away on Wednesday (though that one I'm less sure of), but other than that there's been no luck. I'm holding onto hope that I can find him, but I have to confront the reality that I may never see my baby again.

Enter Taco (pics 3 and 4). Yesterday morning I found him in one of the traps that I set out for Kitty. He's not chipped or neutered, and by the looks of it I think he's been on the streets for a while. I've been searching for an owner online, but I think the most likely scenario is that he's a stray. I elected to take care of him for the time being, rather than surrender him to a shelter where he could end up stuck for months or years. During that time, Taco has very much grown on me. I was shocked at how quickly he turned into a Velcro cat who follows me all around the apartment. He loves to sit on my lap and purr or make biscuits, just like Kitty used to. I've decided that I'm going to keep him if no owner steps forward to claim him.

However, I can't help but feel immense sadness and guilt when I see Taco lying where Kitty used to lie, or playing with Kitty's toys, or when I hug him when I used to hug Kitty. It feels like I'm replacing Kitty, but what Kitty and I had was special, and can never truly be replaced. Kitty got me through one of the darkest times in my life, and finally pulled me out of a spiral of depression and anxiety that had lasted my entire adult life. Nothing that Taco could do could ever live up to that. So how do I go on with Taco when every moment with him feels so bittersweet?

Caught this baby this morning

I've been putting traps out to try and catch my own missing cat (please come home 😭), and this morning I found this little guy in one of them. He's not chipped or neutered, so a possible stray. I've decided to take him in for the moment while I search online for his owner. The poor little baby is terrified. He won't come out of the carrier even for food or water. He also cries when he sees me. I'm worried he could be in pain. He looks like he's been out there for a little while.

How do you go on with your day-to-day life, knowing the most important thing in it is gone?

Maybe this is the wrong subreddit to post in, because I don't know if my Kitty is dead, but he escaped last Wednesday evening and I haven't seen him since Thursday morning. Now I'm expected to go into work tomorrow, and I just don't know how I can do that. Every time I think about him out there all alone and scared, I start bawling. On top of that, I've been going out multiple times a day to check the traps I put out, refresh the food in them, and put out new clothes with my scent on them. I don't know how I can handle a whole day at work without having a breakdown. He really was the most important thing in my life. He's the thing I looked forward to getting home to every day, and the thing that got me out of bed in the morning. Without him the whole thing just feels pointless.

"Cat" toothpaste contained peppermint oil. Does he require a trip to the emergency vet?

I recently purchased some cat toothpaste online. This morning I put about a pea-sized drop on his toothbrush for him to sample. However, upon ingesting it (about a third of the drop), he immediately started gagging and foaming at the mouth. This lasted for about 30 seconds to a minute in total. Upon inspecting the ingredient list, I saw that it contains peppermint oil (despite being advertised as safe for cats). My cat seems to be doing fine now, but I'm wondering if there could be more long-term effects if I don't get him to a vet soon?

Edit: forgot to add that my cat is 2 years old, neutered male, and about 12 lbs/5.5 kg.
