Easiest way to get a prescription for bacteriostatic water in the U.S.?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to get a prescription for bacteriostatic water in the U.S. so I can fill it through a regular pharmacy. I’m not comfortable buying it from third-party suppliers.

Has anyone successfully gotten a prescription for it? If so, did you go through your primary care doctor, telehealth, or another route?

I don’t mind making an appointment with my PCP, but I’m not sure if they would be willing to prescribe it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Has anyone been to an EDM show at the Navy Pier Beer Garden?

I’m thinking about seeing Nora En Pure at the Navy Pier Beer Garden on August 30, but the venue seems like such an odd place for an EDM set.

Tickets are being sold online, and last I checked, resale was around $80 for GA and $150 for VIP. But the Beer Garden is pretty small and open, so it seems like you could just stand right outside of it, still be really close, and see/hear everything.

Has anyone been to an EDM show there before? How does it actually work? Is there any real benefit to buying a ticket versus just being nearby?

Thinking about starting TMS, but I’m worried about potential hair loss — did you experience any?

I’m considering TMS for depression/OCD, but I’ve seen a few posts on Reddit from people saying they experienced hair loss or a bald/thinning spot around the treatment area.

From what I’ve read, hair loss isn’t considered a recognized side effect of TMS, and studies don’t seem to show a clear connection. But seeing these personal reports still makes me concerned.

For anyone who has done TMS, did you notice any hair loss or thinning? If so, did your hair eventually grow back?

How Do You Not Quit TMS Halfway Through?

Hi Everyone,

I'm dealing with a very deep depression. I've never been suicidal and I don't have any thoughts of harming myself, but the depression is making it incredibly hard to function or get myself going each day.

I'm considering trying TMS, but one thing really worries me. I'm the type of person who tends to stop treatments if I start feeling uncomfortable side effects. I've done this with medications before—I quit too early because it's hard for me to wait long enough to see if they'll actually help.

From what I've read, it seems like TMS can sometimes make people feel worse before they feel better. I've seen people mention increased anxiety, headaches, fatigue, and other side effects during the first couple of weeks, but they kept going and didn't notice significant improvement until around treatment 20 or even 30.

My fear is that I'll get to session 7 or 8, start feeling worse, and convince myself to quit before giving it a real chance.

Has anyone else felt this way before starting TMS? If you experienced side effects early on, how did you push through them, and was it worth it in the end?

Thanks

Where can I get microdose ketamine troches (telehealth or local provider)? [Chicago, IL]

Hi everyone,

I've been struggling with depression and have tried ketamine IV infusions, but I didn't like the experience. I'm interested in trying low-dose (microdose) ketamine troches instead.

I'm located in Chicago, Illinois. Does anyone know of any telehealth providers besides Joyous that prescribe microdose ketamine troches? I'm also open to local providers in the Chicago area if they prescribe troches for at-home use.

I know Mindbloom offers ketamine troches, but from what I understand, their protocol uses higher doses rather than daily microdosing.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences. Thanks!

How is VIP at East End Plaza for Chris Lake?

Hello all next week is my birthday and wanted to treat myself to VIP Tickets for Chris Lake. I was wondering does anyone know how the VIP is at East End Plaza Navy Pier for concerts? Like are you close to the DJ or further away and elevated view? Reason I am asking is I went to Martin Garrix got General Admission last week at Northerly Island and noticed the VIP area was further away from the DJ. I prefer to be close. Thank you all in advance

Getting back into fermentation — how do you deal with the smell in a small space?

Hey all, I’m looking to get back into fermentation. I dabbled in it briefly a long time ago and could use some advice.

One thing I remember from last time: my storage areas ended up smelling pretty bad, and since I live in a condo it was tough to get away from it. I’d love to avoid running into that same problem this time around.

Any tips for keeping the smell under control in a small apartment? Appreciate any advice!

Is everyone at Miele Customer Service always rude?

I love my Miele Washer and Dryer and every time I call them for legitimate issues they are so rude and trained to either say no or not help at all even when you have a legitimate issue.

I even spoke with supervisors and the tone of voice they use is very unprofessional and rude and that’s more than one of them I’ve spoken to.

I wonder if Bosch is this way with their customers?

I don’t know if I’m here to vent just quite frustrated with how they handle their customers. Makes me not purchase from them anymore and get another brand.

Miele T1 Dryer - End of Cycle Question?

Hi all, I just got my Miele T1 dryer replaced under warranty since my old one wasn't working properly. I have a question about a difference I've noticed.

My previous Miele T1 (which I had for 3 years) would beep at the end of the cycle, then continue running for about 10 more minutes before fully shutting off.

My new Miele T1 just stops at the end of the cycle without doing that extra 10-minute run.

Does anyone know if Miele changed how this works on newer models, or could there be an issue with my new machine? Thanks in advance!

▲ 2 r/OCD

Hello,

I’m looking for some advice. I have intense OCD/anxiety around bed bugs, even though I have never personally had them. A family member had them many years ago, and I think that may have triggered this fear.

Since then, I constantly worry that I’m going to get bed bugs. It has been getting worse. Whenever someone visits, I feel the need to thoroughly check their suitcase with a flashlight. I also order a lot online, and every time I get a package, I inspect the box multiple times.

For example, I recently ordered some clothes. After it arrived, I checked the box several times, then tied the clothes inside three plastic bags until I could wash them. Part of me knows the risk is probably low — but knowing that doesn't seem to help in the moment.

I know this is probably excessive, but the fear feels very real in the moment. I’m not sure how to handle it anymore.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of OCD fear before? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello all, I'm hoping to get some much-needed advice.

My Miele dryer was diagnosed as unrepairable, so Miele arranged a replacement. They shipped the new unit to a contracted local installer they say is reliable and they've used before.

The installer doesn't answer their phone. When a representative finally answered, he gave me an install date, then changed it the next day to two weeks later. When I asked why the original date couldn't work, he started screaming at me on the phone.

I tried reaching my assigned Miele representative afterward. I left three messages and she has not returned any of my calls.

I'm now uncomfortable with the situation and not sure what to do — accept the later date, push for a supervisor, or try to get a different installer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone have advice on how to reach a higher-up representative in Miele's warranty department or file a complaint that actually gets attention so I can get this resolved?

Thank you
