Toob, chapter 2, this time the Delta Force model

Toob, chapter 2, this time the Delta Force model

Basically this a replica of early KAC/Armalite/Cramblit tube handguard used by Delta during the 80s/90/2000s

The designed was originally made for the KAC SR25s, licensed to Armalite for the civilian market in use with match rifles, than modified by Jeff Cramblit for JSOC, with the FSP cut and the inserts for screwing on accessories

Eventually this handguard would evolve into the PRI Mk12 Tube handguard, as well as the KAC RAS and MRE, and later the Daniel Defense RIS II rail

This era of special operations had some specially weird handguards like this and the armalite aluminium tube DEVGRU used, from my previous post, as operators begun to move from the old clamshell handguards after Gothic Serpent and Just Cause, to platforms that allowed both a solid laser mouting option for night use, as well as a free floated barrel for improved accuracy. And at the time the only option for free float handguards with solid mounting were civilian match rifles that had those funky toobs

90s Armalite Navy Seals TOOB handguard

This is a clone of the AR10 free float tube handguards used by the navy seals in the 90s and early 2000s on their Colt 727s and M4s, with the FSP cut, as well as later on Mk18s with a 7in version

This handguard was used before free float railed handguards became a thing, and offered secure mounting for lasers, mainly PEQ-2s, being a predecessor to the KAC FF RAS and the DD Ris II

Those handguards were modified in the field by taking civilian spec match free float handguards, cutting a slot for the FSP and drilling holes for the pins, as well as adding holes to screw in grips, peq2 mounts, bipod mounts and weaver rails for lights

I modeled both the 12 and a 7in version, and it has holes that can fit up to M5 bolts for your rails, the spacing should be standard for any mlok/pic rail to fit but I'll include some weaver rails eventually

For printing, I split it in 4 sections to make it easier to print on a bedslinger, and the parts are notched for easy assembly and require minimal supports, the threads should also fit any airsoft rifle, I tested it on my standard AEG (Dboys) as well as a Marui and a GBBR

The file is currently available on cults, I'll also be working a Delta Cramblit Style rail and some other retro accessories in the future, also no AI was used in the creation of this project, all you see was made by yours truly with a lot of research and attempting to be as close to the real stuff as possible

Looking for goretex boots for a sasquatch

Basically, I'm a giant and wear US Size 15 Shoes and I'm looking for a good set of boots

I current own a set from under amour that is great comfort and usability wise but the rubber bits have dried out and begun to fall apart

LOWA and Solomon don't make anything even close to size 15s

I've been looking at the merrel moab 3 gtx but would like a second opinion

Same, but different. 2026 vs 2024 collection

2026:
- Archwick Mk13 with a Vector Optics 3-9x40 Scope (Getting replaced with a EG ATACR)
- KA WA Spec AR converted to VFC Spec, with a DD Ris 2 FSP and a Vector Optics S6, full power Dbal and a M300
- Staccato XC with a Surefire light
- Marui 1911 MEU with a guarder national match converted to match 90/00s Delta Force pistols

2022:
- Silverback Tac41p With a random cheapo scope that worked better than it had any right to
- KJW M4 with chinesium furniture, the worst DD rail clone I've seem and a cheap EOTech clone that would fall apart under recoil
- KJW KP06 Pistol

Bambulab A1 sudden loss of quality

So basically, I had a unscheduled vacation to the hospital which left my printer unatended for ~4-6 weeks

Since returning I haven't been able to get a single decent print, my overhangs look terrible, there is a ton of stringing, bed adhesion is non-existant

I have left my filament (Sunlu PETG) in the drier overnight which seems to have helped but still, the stringing is just terrible

Also my prints are now suddenly stopping every single layer to clear the nozzle despite me not changing anything

Edit. I have washed the plate yesterday with water and dish soap

So, I've had an incision become infected after a surgery, my doctor started me on antibiotics and I've had a tomography to see if no abscess was stuck under my skin yesterday, it was also very red and swolen

Doctor also asked me to squeeze out any pus from the wound

Today I went to change my dressing and a huge ammount of pus drained out, and I read that is a sign of the infection getting worse? But the skin around the region is looking more normal, my fever is gone and the pain and swelling are mostly gone too, only concentrated on the area directly surrounding the wound, which is also going down in size and pain levels, so I'm a bit confused

I am already in talks with my doctor and following his advice but I wouldn't mind a second opinion

Basically tomorrow marks 4 weeks post surgery for a fractured posterior malleolus and a full syndesmosis tear

I was cleared full load bearing by my doctor last Thursday and have begun PT yesterday

I had some pain at the start of the exercises, but it got better as I went along, I repeated the exercises later during the day as instructed by the therapist and it went fine, same as during PT

Now, the day after, I am in a ton of pain, I can feel the regular post-training pain one would expect but its really strong around my ankle, and its a bit more swolen, it feels similar to the pain I had in the week post op

But I can still move my foot and ankle and even walk without the pain flaring up

And now I am wondering if its just the regular pain one would expect post starting PT, because I was told it can hurt a lot, or I should go to my doctor. Also I'm going to bring it up to my therapist tomorrow anyway
