Booked Sierra EV Empowered 75kWh, regretting not choosing ADAS — can I still change the variant?
I’m a first-time car buyer. I booked a Tata Sierra EV Empowered 75kWh. The car has been allotted, TR registration is completed, insurance is done, and delivery is planned for next week.
The ADAS L2+ features are available only on the Empowered A trim, which costs roughly ₹2 lakh more. I skipped it mainly to stay within my budget, but now I’m getting some FOMO and wondering whether I made the wrong decision.
I have a few questions:
Can the variant still be changed from Empowered 75kWh to Empowered A after allotment, TR registration, insurance and loan disbursement?
If it is technically possible, what happens to the existing registration, insurance, invoice and loan?
Does ADAS L2+ actually worth spending ~₹2 lakh extra?
For existing Sierra owners, how useful is the ADAS in real-world Indian driving?
Has anyone here successfully changed their car variant after registration/allotment?
I’d really appreciate experiences from people who have actually dealt with similar problem
