Second bioactive build complete!

Second bioactive build completed today!

Here’s a lil start-to-finish! Super excited that I finally got to plant it today, and introduce the second round of springtails and first batch of isopods. I think it came together really nicely considering I’m still a newbie 🥹
24x18x36” eventual home to a gargoyle gecko, once everything settles in and takes off.

also sorry if you just saw this post, I didn’t realize there was a picture limit and had to repost to include the final product.

Mystery box merch trade?

Anyone love this Panorama jacket?! US unisex Sm. I am stoked about this mystery box run and got this cool jacket but I know I will never wear it (I don’t wear this much color like ever!). Would love to trade for one of the new black NOWDTC hoodies or a cool tshirt! Anyone interested? :)

gargoyle or leachie?

I built this 24x18x36 for a gargoyle but it’s a bit… big. Would a leachie be happy here? maybe a baby, and then I could switch out some of the finer vines/spiderwood as they get big?
I still need to plant it with live plants, just waiting for grow lights to come in! I plan to plant snake plant, pothos, maybe some ferns, and other gecko safe plants but maybe it’ll depend on who I want to put in here.
seeking any advice, thanks in advance xx

Stocking advice!

Built this lovely 18x18x12” paludarium for vampire crabs but now that the terrestrial plants are grown in there isn’t enough soil room for crabs to burrow! The scape is roughly 50/50 land water, fully cycled now and grown in with springtails and pond snails. Lots of climbing space on 3 separate driftwood pieces plus background features and rock waterfall, but not much loose soil. Some sphagnum moss hides too. and as you can see, a gnat infestation lol.

water parameters currently set for neocaridina but subject to change, sponge filtered but unheated. Air humidity ~80%, temp 72F

Who should live here? Crab, frog, some sort of gecko maybe? Ideally something semi aquatic that will utilize the 1.5”-2” deep water area. looking for suggestions on who would thrive in this setup!

Is my paludarium unfit for vampire crabs?

I built this cute paludarium but I ended up with way less terrestrial space than I wanted (~60%). The terrestrial space I do have is mostly occupied by plants and rocks, with little to no open soil space for burrowing. I planned for VCs the whole time but, well, it was my first attempt at a paludarium 😭
Are there any species of vampires that do not require space for burrowing? Arboreal or rock dwelling species? TIA 🦀

help! my new albino tetras are being bullied

I was so excited to add 6 albino black neon tetras to my 20gal tank, but my peacock gudgeon pair mated shortly after and both parents became really aggressive and territorial towards the new tetras :( I knew there was a danger of these species not meshing well but I thought since the tetras are larger than the gudgeons and schooling that it would be fine… also, I’ve seen the tetras nipping at each others fins! The one on the left in this pic has barely a tail fin left and it’s only been two weeks!!!! I had no idea it was so bad until I was doing tank maintenance today. I feel terrible that I haven’t stepped in before now, what do I do?? How to treat damaged fins, and do I just have to rehome them? (probably, right? 😭)
Tank has been fully cycled for many months, 0 Amm 0 nitrite 5 nitrate. (Not that this is a water issue but someone always asks)
It was all so peaceful and beautiful until the gudgeons laid eggs…
