Should I continue Oxybutynin?

I've already shared my concerns in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hyperhidrosis/s/vsySq1Zhx1

I'm currently on Oxybutynin 2.5mg(Cystran 2.5mg). one tablet per week. It's been 3 weeks since I started taking. I'm already on 12.5mg Empagliflozin +Metformin 500mg.

The changed that I notice are:

I'm dry 85% of the time. When I go out in the peak summer, my sweat breaks out. The change is huge and seems great for me 🥹🥹🥹

Blurry vision(like I'm always blurry and the vision is twice blurry than before

Dry mouth and throat.

The main thing is, I'm feeling hot alwayss. Even in AC rooms. And that's making me feel dehydrated and nauseous.

So far, no noticeable cognitive issues.

I've tried adding ORS salts, lemonades, sabja seeds and badam pisin(Almond gum) in my routine.

I'm weighing both pros and cons now.

People on Oxybutynin, how do you handle feeling hot?

To my fellow Cysters (PMOS)

To my fellow Cysters(PMOS)(Girls only zone)

So many of you have PMOS(PCOS) and have hardly any clue what to do and how to do things. This is for my fellow Cysters!

PS: I'm not a nutritionist or a doctor but I've got few things to say from my personal experience. I'm 25F and have PMOS(PCOS) since 2014.

I was on OCP for few years and it literally worsened my life. I gained soooo much weight, my skin darkened, acne flareups, irregular periods(I once bled for 75 days continuously. I also didn't get periods for like 6-7 months sometimes), extreme hairfall and all. So Once I came out of OCP, I searched for sustainable and holistic approach for PMOS. I hope you guys benefit from this post!

First and foremost, Do a Vitamin Deficiency test. Most of the Cysters would be deficient in Vit D, Magnesium, Copper, Vit B and Iron(Sometimes or always Ferritin)

Also Get a hormonal panel and Haemoglobin test. I'll attach the necessary blood tests in a separate post.

And no one said this to me before, but I did Inflammation tests(Like CRP, ESR, CBC) as I have severe Inflammation at the bat of an eye.

So make sure everything is within normal levels. If not, go for those supplements as well.

Now coming to the stress management part, which takes up equal space in the major symptoms of PMOS.

  1. Try Chamomile tea at night and sip Spearmint and green tea during the day. Spearmint is an all-rounder.

  2. Also try Aromatherapy (My favs are Lavender oil and Ylang Ylang oil).

  3. And to keep your cortisol(stress) levels low, go for walking.

  4. And reduce HIIT Workouts. Heavy and quick workouts increase stress levels rapidly and hence stores fats in the abdomen region. So opt for Slow weighted workouts.(You can check few Youtube videos)

For me, Walking worked better than weight training.

Coming to the main supplements especially for PMOS,

  1. Do your research on Inositol, Berberine and COQ10.

Go for 40:1 Myo Inositol and D-Chiro Inositol only(This is actually the most important for PMOS, life changer for me)

  1. And for Gut health, probiotics supplements are actually must.

You can also research about Berberine supplement as it works for Insulin resistance.

  1. Metformin is not a long term solution. If you're taking Metformin, you'll have so many Gut issues. So take either Curcumin supplements or Turmeric in your diet.

  2. Also do your research on COQ10 supplements. It quickens your cell turnover rate and prevents cell damages.

  3. If I have to say another life changer, I'd say Omega 3(Fish oil) supplements. If you're a vegan person, you can try plant based omega 3 like flax seeds.

Next dietary changes.

I understood that I'm sensitive to Milk, Gluten, Broiler Chicken, Eggs(Naatukozhi eggs are healthy, not the other ones).

I've started eating high protein food. And calorie deficit won't work for Cysters mostly. It'll leave us hungry always. So eat more and well. I include Plant based Protein Powders in my diet.

Opt for healthy snacks such as seed trails, dark chocolate, mixed berries, Makhana(Fox nuts), Pop corn, Nachos. I eat chopped carrots, Cucumbers.

It's a veryyy large and sensitive topic.

If anyone wants detailed descriptions, I'll make a series in this sub regarding PMOS.

Cheers! 🌼✨

Appreciation post for my reddit friend

Hellooo Gaaich!

If you've see my previous posts and comments, you'd know that I've found few amazing friends here. Many of you posted about your reddit incidents. Why, even I posted some of my negative incidents happened in reddit.

So this appreciation post is for one of them particularly.

I met this person 29 days back in this Sub. And we've texted and called daily. I'm going through some low phase now. And many reached out and I'm honestly grateful for that. But this person stayed throughout my rants and yaps. He's in US and I'm in TN. Even with the differences in distance and time zones, he stayed there for me. Not romantically. Just pure friendship ✨🌼✨

Like the other day, I didn't even get up from my bed and was crying. So he stayed on call for 7hrs with me 🫠🫠🫠

I'm soooo grateful to reddit and my lucky stars for actually sending me good souls into my life. 🧿🌼❤️✨

Men, will you be willing to move places for your wife's work nature?

Title la ketadhu dhaan. If your wife/partner has a nice, secured job, say Government Job and has to shift every 2-3 years. Will you guys be willing to move around with her and build a life together? Or prefer long distance relationship? Or just entirely separate and get a women who's willing to move with you? Considering the financial, logistical and emotional issues, I just wanted to know if men are really okay to consider this lifestyle or do they still think it's unconventional and offensive to ask this.

Sustainable vegetarian protein foods for weekly food preps

As the title says, I'm looking for sustainable vegetarian protein food recipes that you guys use for weekly meal preps. I'm focusing on lentils and chickpeas. I'm sensitive to chicken and eggs. I don't like Mutton. I love sea food, but can't have it every day as I'm a calendar vegetarian. So give me your allergen friendly(atleast diabetic friendly) recipes that I can store in the freezer and use it now and then.

Broken reflections

Yesterday I uploaded a poem that I wrote 4 years back. Idhu I wrote a month after it. Idhuvum same theme. But the perspective is different.

So compared to last poem, this one describes my depression from the outside of my body(like a 3rd POV). And also as a month passed by, this seems like accepting my depression and putting on a 'happy face' mask.

Feedback is totally welcome. 🌼✨

For my previous poem: Feather in the storm

Considering Oxybutynin along with diabetes

I've already shared my major concerns here recently

https://www.reddit.com/r/Hyperhidrosis/s/lzsG6RrI5S

And I consulted ny dermatologist yesterday. And she said She'll put me on Oxybutynin. But initially it's gonne be one tablet per week.

As a severe generalised Primary HH sweater, I'm worried it might either not work or affect my cognitive functions as stated by other sweaters here.

And for Glycopyrrolate, she said that it might absorb the gastric fluids as well and that she won't recommend it for my health.

So can someone tell me if Oxybutynin really worked for you?

26F suffering from Generalised Primary HH, along with Diabetes and PMOS

As the title says, I have generalised HH(Scalp, Face, Palms, hand and knee Joints, Feet, chest, back, sometimes groin) even in AC rooms since 2011.

I also have PMOS and Diabetes(T2) and am taking supplements and a combo of Empagliflozin and Metformin. For context, I'm from India. I've also done recent blood work and ruled out hormonal imbalance and deficiencies.

My doc prescribed me clinical grade Aluminium chlorohydrate lotions, creams, sprays. No effect. My makeup drips down. Highhh social awkwardness. My doctor asked me to keep oral anticholinergics as a last resort as it could be more invasive than others.

Iontophoresis won't be much help to me as I have generalised HH. And Botox is also limited in my case. Surgery is out of question, of course.

I'm considering Oral anticholinergics now.

So my question is, Has anyone with diabetes tried Anti cholinergics and how has it worked for you?

And also what's the dosage and the drug name?

Was there any side effects?

I'm just looking for real life experiences before talking to my doc about this. I'm worried about kidney issues, blurry vision, cognitive dysfunction, dehydration and heat stroke actually.

Update #2(last puzzle) Guy disappeared after introducing me to his parents

For those who aren't familiar with the events:

This is the original post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/tamilyapping/s/1R9prfrSdc

This is the previous update

https://www.reddit.com/r/tamilyapping/s/vdLY4XfLCR

Let's just call the guy I was seeing as G.

Back to the story, G moonlights for a US based consultancy. So I texted his boss in linkedin and he replied that he'll forward this message to G's wife.

I was like 'Wait, whatttt?!' Saying I was shocked is putting it mildly. But later yesterday, I got the call from his wife(Let's call her S). She revealed that they've been friends since 2018 and are in a relationship since 2021.

Later when G's mom was against the relationship, she got him engaged to another girl(Let's call her C) from the mom's community(Irony is Mom and dad of G belong to different community and they eloped and married). To save their relationship, G And S registered their marriage in February 2026 with the support of S's family and lived in their respective places till they get the approval.

She then texted me all their pics. Marriage, reception, outing and all.

Now this guy cheated and had affairs with multiple women, including C. Now all the girls unitedly made complaints and now he is in Police custody since last week. The reason for his cheating is, he was depressed due to his family situation and was seeking validation and consolation from others.

And G's parents absconded. So now S is taking care of the bail and other legal stuff. She told me that she's distraught now(Rightfully so). But she'll be applying for the divorce soon after he comes out. And also her parents gave her wedding jewels to him and registered the ownership of few properties on G's name. So she wishes to retrieve those in the meanwhile. I feel bad and sorry for her truly. Must be devastating to see that everything you've built so far was on a foundation of lies.

Now I realise that G's parents were in on it. They understood that I was a greater catch and wanted to set their son with me. I'm beyond appalled to see this whole situation unfurl. What I felt was a genuine bond and a good family turned out to be complicated web of lies and deception.

People be aware of who you choose as your partner. Never hesitate to do your due diligence before getting into any relationship. In this case, S meets G daily after their work hours and met during the weekends. Yet he lived multiple hidden lives openly in different timelines.

For now, I'm grateful that the truth came out before I invested any more of myself into this situation. I wasn't honestly expecting this plot twist, but here we are.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to dig deeper instead of ignoring my gut feeling. Turns out my concern wasn't overthinking after all. Time to close this chapter and move on to better things. Toodles! 🪭✨

TL;DR: G suddenly vanished, so I contacted his boss, who put me in touch with his wife. That's when I learned he had secretly married her in February 2026 while simultaneously maintaining relationships with multiple women, including his fiancée. Multiple victims have since filed complaints, and G is currently in police custody. His parents allegedly knew about his actions and even seemed to encourage him to pursue me as a "better match." What looked like a genuine relationship turned out to be a large-scale deception involving several women, a secret marriage, and ongoing legal trouble.

Update#1: Guy disappeared after introducing me to his parents

For those who didn't read the first post, here you go:

https://www.reddit.com/r/tamilyapping/s/7sQR50TwGc

The update is: As many of you suggested that I send someone to his house, I sent my friend to his house to meet him. But apparently the house was locked entirely. The car was inside though.

And still no contact from his side.

So I've decided to move on from this fiasco. I've blocked him everywhere and cleared all the chats, and deleted all the media related to him.
