My bad for all the Slayr discussion on here but respect to him for actually being on it when it comes to working with Faygo, we’re still yet to hear the Yeat collab, the Destroy Lonely collab and the Lil Tecca collab (vocals).

People complain about how “online” he is but I do like how he’s often replying to fans and updating them on the collab with Faygo.

Off-topic but Slayr’s using the comments method lol

I usually hate when Faygo sings with “obvious auto tune” but it works so well on this part of ‘Colors’

Off-Topic but how do you guys feel about the take that the 2020s doesn’t have any signature style? I thought opium was new and influential but others disagree

How many of these songs would you put above Controlla?

Very off-topic but there’s been some discussion about men having less noticeable Adam’s apples. I find it kinda funny how Faygo has this rare “masculine trait” despite his appearance (“lover boy💕” tat)

Faygo has unique features: vitiligo, half-blind, fast metabolism + Adam’s apple

He fr pulled a Trippie Redd with his XXL freestyle😭, “freestyling” is overrated anyways. AVANT NOVA is fire.

The flow of unheard 1 is like ‘MARNI & PRADA’, the beat of unheard 2 is like ‘RELOCATE’ 🔥. I like these 2 unnamed snippets way more than ‘Distance’ and ‘Morning’ (the vocals on those tracks are sounding terrible rn)

A lot of faith has been restored 🙏, Never Apologize 2?! 😭

Imagine what Andre’s reaction would’ve been to seeing A-Train. Also Emma could’ve related with A-Train as she also had an ED (her powers were sometimes an excuse). It would’ve been upsetting (as she’s already lost Luke, Andre and Polarity).

There’s a lot of discussion about the comic noir twist but how do you feel about Butcher’s character and what was expected of Season 5 episode 7 (which became the lowest rated episode before the finale review bombs)? Keep in mind Garth Ennis told Kripke “just get Butcher right” as Butcher is his fav

Homelander has so many powers, given the emphasis they put on Vogelbaum finding “the right genes”, could Homelander’s mother really just be a random woman?

I’m sorry, I know you guys are tired of this but do you guys think fans were actually promised “scorched earth”/“Homelander finally snapping”?

Arguments against:

- Maybe I’m illiterate but wasn’t the whole point of the boys killing Homelander to ensure he doesn’t “finally snap” and kill millions? They saw him as a threat to the world and couldn’t sleep knowing he was a ticking time bomb and had to go (revenge wasn’t their only motive)

- Kripke and others emphasised a message of hope, stopping Homelander before mass destruction shows how “underdogs” can make the world a better and safer place.

- Kripke stated he didn’t have the budget for action like marvel, which should’ve put the idea out of people’s minds that the posters would reflect the show well.

Arguments for:

- The most popular one I see is the promotional posters, even if it wasn’t Kripke’s decision, he probably saw them and approved. Even if he didn’t have anything to do with it (saw them at the same time at us), fans can still feel misled just based on the posters.

- Other posters for the show were pretty accurate (we saw the baby with blue lasers appear in the show, we saw Neuman working with Homelander, we saw Starlight find herself in the middle of protests)

- Even though Kripke claims he can’t do big stuff like marvel, the dawn of the seven set actually looked pretty decent* + Stormfront burning down the apartments gave hope that a final clash would destroy more than a carpet (and that the producers were capable of showing destruction to Vought Tower and/or the White House).

- We got statements from people like Antony Starr saying “the worst thing I have done is yet to come and I can’t wait” (in the clip he even specified it was worse than cutting the plane in half) but none of Homelander’s direct actions on-screen in season 5 matched that.

- Homelander dreamt of lasering the crowd in season 2 but held back as he was still on a leash, once off the leash (in season 5) he used internment camps to kill starlighters which shows that he was capable but the question is why was so much of this off-screen if it’s what fans were supposed to see (season 4 finale buildup vs season 5 camps was such a letdown).

- I personally thought we were headed somewhere truly dark upon hearing Madelyn tell Homelander to rip newborns out of wombs however this just leads to more off-screen kills and Homelander ordering Dogknott to kill for him on-screen.

- The flight 37 video was stated multiple times to be what sets Homelander over the edge if released following people turning on him because of it, the AI angle was some cool commentary but it wasn’t worth ruining all those years of build up unless Homelander “finally lost it” because of something else.

* I want to see an editor change the colour grading of the dawn of the seven to be more inline with what fans envisioned the finale to be👀

I love how whenever someone praises newer music, there’s a very high chance that Slayr/Bloodluxe is getting mentioned. I hope he keeps the momentum up.

Why is Pink Tape so under appreciated? It should go down as a classic 2020s rap album, it’s more fun and energetic than 99% of other releases this decade + the aesthetics are fun, 2023 was peak
