Das Video hatte er in seiner Instagram-Story.. wo soll man da denn überhaupt anfangen? Er nutzt solche Argumente, um u.a. den Klimawandel zu leugnen :,) gerade bei Familienmitgliedern will ich sie eigentlich nicht einfach aufgeben, aber gerade bei meinem Bruder (der 16 Jahre älter ist als ich) habe ich oft das Gefühl, dass ich eh nie so ganz ernst genommen wurde in der Vergangenheit. In letzter Zeit hatten wir aber wieder ein paar mehr positive oder neutrale Momente, da würde ich solche Gelegenheiten schon gerne zur Aufklärung nutzen.
Irgendwelche Tipps aus welchem Winkel man das am geschicktesten angeht? Oder Erfahrungen?

hi, my sister has a 1yo jack russel who i will be looking after for 2 weeks in august. it’s honestly not like she isn’t training him, i see the progress (especially with his recall) but it’s very slow and he’s honestly pissing me off sometimes.. there are 5 areas that i would like to work on most:

1. ig the part most important to me personally is his reaction to other dogs. he gets so excited to see them and wants to play with them so bad that he gets crazy (pulling on the leash towards them and whining so loudly it can sometimes sound like i scream). now my dog is already turning 14 in august (disclaimer: they will not see each other in the 2 weeks) and she doesn’t like active/wild dogs at all. when they do see each other he’s all over her, ignoring all her signs that she’s uncomfortable, ignores her growling and barking at him, just ignoring all boundaries in general and putting his face in her’s (he does that with other dogs at the park too but only one of them ever growled at him). my dog will literally growl at him and he will put his nose between her teeth (she would never bite and i fear he knows that). and in these moments his recall also isn’t working well. is that a type of behaviour i can at least start fixing in 2 weeks? respecting boundaries?
2. the other one would be “leave it” when he wants to eat something from the ground, which he does very often, even outside..
3. and the barking. omg. when he wants something he will bark in this super high pitched tone and jump up on you until he gets attention/what he wants. one time he peed against the door because my sister ignored him (he was just outside so it’s not like he needed to). and he will not stop. that boy can go on for over an hour with ease.
4. another thing ig would be that when you correct him with saying in a stern voice “bad dog” or something he literally sometimes barks, growls or pretend-bites into your direction, which is absolutely crazy to me as that is something i have never known from my dog (she was a super easy angel so i’d say i dont really have experience in raising/training dogs).
5. the last one is that when playing he will have the whole toy to bite into but he deliberately chooses to bite as close to the hand as possible(seen in one of the pictures), sometimes catching a finger. that in combination with this lack of respect for boundaries or not liking being corrected can sometimes be really exhausting.

i genuinely want to help this dog beyond just wanting him to stop pissing me off because he can be super sweet and in the end ik it’s not his fault but my sister’s and there has been much progress in other areas, but yeah.. a lot of frustration has been building up the past year.

edit: idk if its relevant to maybe his lack of social manners(?) but he got separated from his mum and siblings at only 8 weeks old and maybe he didnt have much of a chance to learn that from them?

Dieses Video wurde mir heute von Youtube empfohlen und ich dachte es wäre perfekt zum hören, während ich was koche. Jetzt koche ich. Vor Frust. Ich kannte den Youtube-Kanal noch nicht und musste aber schon am Anfang mit der Stirn runzeln, als der Youtuber das Wort „Tankies“ unironisch benutzt hat.. Ich dachte aber, dass es vielleicht trotzdem interessant werden könnte. Hab dann kurz nach der Hälfte abgebrochen weil es einfach unwatchable war. Einfach ein typischer „linker“ dessen Gehirn von Red-Scare-Propaganda komplett zerfressen wurde. Und dann lese ich in einem Kommentar darunter noch, dass das beste ja eine Mischung aus Kapitalismus und Kommunismus sei?! Hilfe.
Ich wollte einfach etwas Dampf ablassen, weil mich die Kommentarspalte unter dem Video echt die Fassung hat verlieren lassen. Eigentlich finde ich es schon wichtig solchen Unsinn nicht ohne Pushback stehen zu lassen, gerade für Leute die sich mit dem Thema noch nicht so auskennen und dann die Kommentare lesen und denken es wäre fine, aber auf so vielseitigen Müll kann man gar nicht eingehen.
Vielleicht bin ich auch zu sehr in meiner Bubble und habe keine Frustrationstoleranz mehr, wenn es um lib-tards geht. Könnte ich wann anders auch mal reflektieren
