Was gifted my Mark XX a few years ago on a leather band, but decided to order the bracelet. I hate how much it cost but I figured I’d have it forever, and I’m glad that when it arrived I liked it. Was a bit worried during shipping time that I’d hate it.

I sized it myself, with a toothpick since no tools are included, but the mechanism for sizing is genius - if a little fiddly and annoying because of the individual links.

Glad I got it.

I put 400km on the bike this weekend. Very happy with my choice.

This XSR700 came up at a dealership an hour away for a really good price, and while it wasn’t the top of my list, the price was right and the stars aligned.

Drove it home today in a mix of rain, then beautiful sun after and put about 200km on it.

Needs the clutch recall done, but isn’t showing symptoms right now.

What a night and day difference to my SCL500. The main thing I notice is you can just cruise in 3rd around town mostly. Torque for days. Turns in way quicker. Wasn’t a handful once I got used to where everything was.

Saw it come up at a dealership an hour away, jumped on it and put a deposit earlier this week and then went and got it today.

Very happy. Miles different than my SCL500, very manageable and turns in like a weapon compared.

2024 with 1400km, clutch recall pending

I have an SCL500, but starting to think about my next bike. It has 47hp, and I was wondering if bikes like a Z650RS, XSR700, Triumph Speed Twin 900, etc, are the right size move, or too close to lateral. I am by no means an expert, but online content makes the larger bikes XSR900, Z900RS, sound like a good intermediate / middleweight, but these seem like a big jump from 47hp, to around a hundred.

Should I skip the mid tier or are they satisfying enough for s few years. I’ve had my SCL500 for two years. I don’t really want something a ton faster just something more torquey and quicker feeling.

I like the idea of the Speed Twin the most, but at 900/1200 displacement, I get worried about insurance differences.

I’ve had this lamp for a long time but I can’t figure out how to actually make it work or style it. Any ideas? Torchiere, or down light? Crossed? Same direction? Apart?
