Regretting Facial Contouring Cheekbone Reduction

Hi, I had facial contouring done 5 weeks ago and am really regretting the zygoma reduction.

Mine protruded but not by much. I had ~2mm shaved off - no osteotomy.

My face is still so, so round and I'm worried I've lost the cheekbone projection that created angles for my face. I know it could be due to swelling, but it feels like 80-90% of my swelling is gone, and looking at other results, a lot of other people also have similar round faces permanently.

For girls I think this is a good result, but as a guy I am strongly regretting this and think I look worse post op than before.

Anyone else had zygoma reduction and have experiences to share? Thank you

Assymetry after genioplasty - will it go away?

I'm three weeks post op and have some asymmetry, especially when moving my chin. my chin and jaw weren’t perfectly even before, but nothing noticeable and now I can notice some asymmetry.

The CT scans were very assymtrical but the doctors at BT told me it was intentional... but only after the surgery when I asked about it. I'm a bit worried it was botched. Any advice? Attaching CT scan in comment

Korean clinics which preserve natural hump?

I’d like a result like this one preserving my natural bridge hump but narrowing the bridge, tip and reducing droopiness. Ideal result attached.

Any recs? Do any Korean clinics to this?

Feedback on Dr Laorwongs design?

Would love feedback on the hairline design. Getting it done tomorrow, super excited. Estimated 1800 grafts. Will transplant over a chunk of the thinning native area too.

[Iko] There’s an increasing sense that, not only is Jaylen Brown open to leaving Boston and playing in Milwaukee, but a resolution within the next 48 hours is preferred.

Source: https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/giannis-antetokounmpo-nba-draft-buzz-and-the-latest-chatter-around-the-league-195345197.html

Given that the Celtics' offer is contingent on Jaylen Brown's inclusion — despite a denial that has amused rival executives — there's an increasing sense that not only is Brown comfortable with the idea of leaving Boston and being traded to Milwaukee, but is hoping to find a resolution over the next 48 hours, league sources said.

And, for much of how these last months have gone within Milwaukee's front office, the buck (no pun intended) stops with them. Do the Bucks prefer the Heat's package, with the likes of Tyler Herro, young talent and draft capital, or the Celtics' package, which would land them an All-NBA two-way superstar in his prime? The clock is ticking.

Which Eye Clinics do this style? Tea

I’m a guy with hooded eyelids and want to keep my changes in the same style as this!

Does anyone know good eye clinics to do this? Im thinking of ptosis repair, is DEs and epicantholasty necessary or no?

Having DES + Ptosis. Is Undereye Fat Grafting worth it right now?

Hi, I'm having ptosis repair & probably DES at the same time.

I was quoted 3.3m won for undereye fat grafting.

I'm 31. I definitely have some volume loss in the area, which started in the last 2-3 years, but it's not that bad.

You can see one side in the lighting, the other side is similar.

I'm happy to do the fat grafting now, but just wondering if it's a waste of money in the long run, if I have to do it again in just a few years, or if it lasts (assuming the fat grafts survive). I'm aware that the fat grafts can not survive. I'm moreso wondering if it's too early for me to do this & I should just wait till I lose more volume.

Hair transplant → eyelid surgery (maybe Rhino) a week later. How risky is this? How hard is it to remove stitches at home?

Looking for opinions, especially from anyone who's had both procedures. I know this isn't ideal, but my PTO is limited and it'd be a lot of trouble to rebook my surgery & flights.

Current Schedule:

- Sunday 7/5 - Hair transplant in Bangkok (around 1,500–2,000 grafts)

- Friday 7/10 - Fly to Seoul

- Sat 7/11 - Ptosis repair + upper bleph/double-eyelid surgery about 6 days after the transplant

- Fri 7/17 - Stitches out

- Sat 7/18 - Fly back to US

  1. How risky is DES, undereye fat grafting & ptosis repair w.r. pressure?

While there's a risk of swelling affecting the DES design, it's a risk I'll take. Most ppl don't swell to much. I'm more concerned about grafts being dislodged at that point.

I've consulted two clinics. Luho told me they want a 2-week gap after the hair transplant. VPNS told me that after 1 week it should be fine.

- Do surgeons rest their hands or put pressure put on the forehead/scalp during ptosis repair, upper bleph, or double-eyelid surgery? Will the surgeon I consult with, be the one operating on me (to make sure they are careful)?

  1. I'm also considering rhinoplasty during the same trip, but it's less likely. Is it possible to have Rhinoplasty a few days after DES, and ~1.5weeks after hair transplant?

  2. How's stitch removal in the US, if I end up having to push the DES back a few days, and fly back to the US before stitches can be removed?

If anyone has experience combining a recent hair transplant with facial surgery, I'd love to hear how it went.

Thanks!

Knicks Analysis - Moves the Lakers should copy

The Knicks are loaded with 2 way players. They're a great example for the Lakers, since

  1. They never tanked
  2. They were short on draft capital
  3. Leon Rose took over and turned things around in just 5 years.

They spent those 5 years rounding out the roster and slowly assembling the pieces that propelled them to this finals run. They've made mistakes along the way as well (letting Hartenstein walk), but overall they came out with all the depth and two way wings they needed.

Let's look at the moves they took to get there

  1. Acquiring OG Anunoby. It only took Barrett (negative asset), Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round pick.

Most teams weren't sure they could resign OG at a price they'd be happy with, and did not make trade offers to Toronto. The Knicks ended up with a significant market discount on what it took to trade for OG because of that uncertainty.

However, Leon Rose is very well connected and almost certainly worked out an understanding on the next contract with OG before the trade.

Takeaway: Target young players whose teams won't pay them, and leverage relationships to exploit uncertainty discounts. Def something Rob can do.

  1. Signing Donte Divencenzo

Donte quietly had a breakout year in GS, but GS didn't have the money to resign him. He rebuilt his shot and turned into one of the best 3pt shooters in the league that year, after training with Curry. He significantly improved in the course of that year and the analysis showed it.

The Knicks swooped in and gave him a 4 year / 50 million dollar, which was a gamble at the time. It paid off SIGNIFICANTLY, as Donte immediately became a high level two way starter for them on ~12mil/year.

Donte became a huge asset on a cheap contract, and was flipped in the Towns trade.

Takeaway: Have good scouting/analytics so you can acquire breakout players early, before their reputation catches up

  1. Getting KAT for Randle, Donte, and a first

The Wolves were willing to move Towns because he wasn’t a good fit next to Gobert, and he was redundant with Gobert + Naz Reid. OTOH, Donte was especially valuable to Minnesota because he addressed a specific roster need. Randle is hard to value, but many smart FOs would shy away from paying him. I'd argue he was a neutral asset at beast, but for the Wolves, he brought the ball handling and rebounding from the 4 position, which was perfect for them.

In effect, the Knicks got an All-Star level player for 1 FRP, 1 starter on a great contract, and a neutral asset.

Takeaway - be smart with arbitraging player value with other team's needs. Houston, New Orleans, and Atlanta come to mind immediately - all could use more ball handling, and have a glut of athletic wings.

  1. Getting Josh Hart for Cam Reddish + a first

-------

I'm gonna wrap this up here, but the Knicks have made lots of very interesting moves over the years to get to this point.

I didn't include the Mikal Bridges trade, which was arguably a bad trade, or the Jalen Brunson signing and extension, which had a ton of shenanigans.

There was also the very interesting move of turning #11 pick into 3 late firsts. This was a very clever move, because while those picks were the same value, optics wise, many other GMs are reluctant to 'lose' a trade and getting a late first can seem like more of a win in a trade than a 2nd that is almost the same value.

For example, one of 3 firsts that came out of pick 11 was traded for KAT. Similarly, you can see how teams would trade a guy like Hart for salary filler + late first, because on paper its a "win". Breaking apart one high first can get you 3 shots like those.

Overall, the Lakers are in a much better spot than the Knicks were. We have a great coach already. We don't have albatross contracts given to RJ Barrett, we already have a franchise cornerstone, we have a lot of decent pieces. What we need is a good FO, to fill out the roster with the depth and talent we need.

Different opinions from Korean vs Chinese rhinoplasty consults — would love honest feedback

I'd like to get the best-looking result possible while still looking natural and fitting my face well.

I don't want a super sharp, upturned or overdone look.

I consulted with two Korean clinics (8 and BT PS) and one Chinese clinic, and got very different recommendations.

  1. Korean clinics suggested: tip plasty, hump reduction, osteotomy, bulbous nose correction, alar reduction, nasolabial angle correction, bridge refinement, and rib grafting/bridge augmentation.
  2. The Chinese clinic thinks my bridge is good already, and only suggested subtle tip refinements, but I wonder if they are being too conservative.

I'd love any advice on the following:

- Does my bridge actually need narrowing/refinement?

- Would reducing the hump improve the nose, or make it less natural? Personally I'm okay keeping some hump/character if it fits my face better overall.

- Would bridge augmentation help at all, or would it hurt harmony?

- Would alar reduction help, or is it unnecessary?

- What specific tip changes would help most?

- more projection?

- more definition?

- slight rotation?

- narrowing?

- Any thoughts on my nose currently?

Also, does anyone have recs for getting realistic morphs?

- I really think the cause of my nose droop is a slight lack in mid face projection, but I can't find any good clinics which do mid face augmentation (only in China, and standard paranasal implants in Korea/US wouldn't push the nose forward). Is it worth trying to find something in China which does PEEK implants?

- Any general thoughts / analysis?

Also, does anyone have recs for getting realistic morphs?

Anyone have info on mid-face augmentation / paranasal implants combined with rhinoplasty?

I've been looking for info on mid-face augmentation + rhinoplasty. I heard this is sometimes called paranasal implants.

I came across someone online mentioning this is done in China, and VIPPS clinic in Korea (Jeju Island) seems to offer something similar — though VIPPS has pretty bad reviews.

Any Chinese or Korean people have more information? Anyone have links to RedNote reviews or anything like this? Or has anyone had it done?
