Beautiful hiking on the edge of the wilderness area. Saw one car and zero people!

Parked on the road, started hiking in the rain. One hour later, it was all snow! ❄️ San Juan Mountains, Colorado

Hiked up Black Bear Pass Road in a good old-fashioned white out! (9/28/26)

Vehicles near Imogene Pass on the ridge behind the lake. Short hike from there but much longer from highway #550. The preferred route, IMO.

2003 1500 5.3 260k miles. All original drivetrain. The truck runs well and I try to stay on top of maintenance. Transmission fluid and filter always "look good" according to my mechanic. I'm having issues shifting into gear when stopped on a slope or steel hill. Worst case scenario is a steep hill trying to shift into reverse. I have to use so much force, I feel like I'm going to break the lever. What do I need to have checked/replaced etc?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Deep inside Bears Ears National Park. Maybe not within the boudries of the park since it was shrunk by Trump. It's an "easy find" for a sharp eyed hiker but God forbid I call it "secret." 😀
