Which Investment Opportunities Do You Think AI Will Create?

30 years ago the idea of the internet being what it is today or crypto being a form of payment would be difficult to conceive of. With AI being what it is now and becoming something that will change the world investments in Solar energy and data center real estate are suddenly looking like a more worthwhile investment than ever before. I think some kind of investment involving alternative energy like solar will be profitable. What future alt investment do you think technology will create?

Are Their Any Investment Opportunities Specific To Your Countries?

I live in the UK so looking around I wonder if their are any kinds of investments that the UK specifically can benefit from. If I was in country with consistent sun light like African countries or Caribbean countries I would want to invest in solar energy technologies. In the UK I think that insulation based industries are a good alternative investment based on our energy bills and cold months.

Where are you from and are there any alternative investments you could be specifically beneficial to you based on what you know about your country?

Does Anyone Buy Crypto?

My thoughts on crypto are that everyone who invests does so because they hope its value will increase and they will sell it and get rich. I do not think most people invest because they see crypto as a transactional tool capable of replacing money. For anyone who buys crypto, do you see it as the next form of currency, an alt investment worthy of diversifying into or some other reason why do you buy it?

How Did You Afford Your First Investment?

I am sure everyone has heard of Robert Kiyosaki; he is the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Although I think what he is good at is helping people develop a mindset towards money. For example, he says, “a poor person will say I cannot afford that and a rich person will say, ' How can I afford that”. You can apply this to many things; for example, an out-of-shape person may say they do not have time to work out or money to go to the gym. How did you first afford to start investing alternatives?

What Investment Did You Or Would You Start With?

Previously, I posted about the benefits of P2P or peer to peer lending. To summarise, P2P lending is selecting someone to lend to using an app. Basically doing what a bank does, the barrier to entry is very low, and you can choose to lend based on risk, so it is a good alternative investment anyone can start with. Do The Benefits P2P Investments Appeal To You?

P2P Lending, or peer-to-peer lending, is a form of alternative investment in which you lend money and receive interest on the loan. Here are three benefits of P2P

Low Barrier To Entry

Peer-to-peer lending has a very low barrier to entry; you can start with as little as $25. Individual loans usually require thousands. P2P uses platforms that charge a small fee, allowing the lenders to potentially earn more interest and the loanee to find affordable loans

Less volatile Than Stocks

Stocks fluctuate; P2P lending is an agreed-upon amount to be lent and interest to be paid within an agreed time frame. You know what you are getting back with a reliable loanee.

You Choose Who To Loan To

P2P lending is more transparent than other forms of lending; you can choose to lend to causes you believe in and see the impact of your loans on a very human level.

Has anyone had experience with P2P, and if not, would you consider it?

Are tangible assets like gold and art still relevant in a digital investment world?

With everything becoming more digital especially with the rise of crypto and online investment platforms I’ve been wondering where traditional tangible assets stand today.

Gold, silver, and even art have been around as stores of value for centuries, but do they still make sense in a modern portfolio? They don’t generate income like some other investments, and in the case of art, valuation can feel very subjective.

At the same time, there’s something psychologically reassuring about owning a physical asset. It’s not just numbers on a screen.

So do you think tangible assets still have a meaningful place in today’s investment strategies, or are they slowly becoming outdated compared to more modern alternatives?

What Audio Books Do You Recommend On Alternative Investments?

Recently I was recommended two books about investments, A random walk down wall street and Winning the loser's game. These days I do a fair amount of audio books and podcasts for learning because they are easy to integrate into my life. Does anyone have any audio book recommendations to help me learn about alternative investments?

How Would You Go About Teaching Financial Literacy?

I have recently decided to learn about investing and it feels more and more like the masses are clueless. Every video I watch every article I read leaves me wondering why I did not know these basic life skills. To play devils advocate education was designed to make you employable not financially literate. We are taught to save for rainy day without any lessons on inflations unless we take economics. So how would you explain alternative investments to your children to best set them up for financial control of their lives?
