Giardia

Brought home a kitten 3 weeks ago and almost immediately we started having diarrhea in the house (we have 3 resident cats). Today at the kittens follow up appointment he tested positive for Giardia. We’ve got him meds and he should be good to go.

However I’m pretty sure my two year old male has also gotten it. We can’t get him in until Monday to be tested. I worry because I don’t think he’s feeling very good. Eating, drinking, using the litter box and even playing with the kitten a bit. But he seems more withdrawn. Less social. I’m worried sick about him. I just want reassurance that this is normal after having a stomach bug and he will be back to his sweet self as soon as he gets some meds.

Falling in love with this house one room at a time

I bought his house in November and the whole thing was painted white and grey. I realize some people enjoy that, but it’s just not my style. I’m loving this blue so much. Next big project is a kitchen remodel that will also include putting some kind of wood paneling on the ceilings. I want to add some organic warmth up there.

Paint colors

Trying to choose between two more neutral colors as this will be going in a hallway and a second living room that are both transitional spaces between some bolder color choices (see Peacock Blue in one pic). Colors are Creamy Mushroom (the darker one) and accessible beige.

New elk rifle

I’ve been shooting my grandpas old .243 for almost 20 years now. It was a great rifle for blacktail, pigs and a couple antelope but I recently drew my first elk tag and I’m wanting to get something with a bit more knockdown. I’ve been looking at a couple specific guns, the Tikka t3x, the browning x bolt 2, and the weatherby vanguard Camilla (I’m a woman so the structure of this one was intriguing, however after handling one I think it’s made for more petite people). Probably a .308. I prefer not to take shots over 300 yards. My dad’s trying to convince me to get a 30-06 but I’m afraid it’s going to kick the crap out of me and make me not want to shoot it. Help a girl out. Budget of about $1500 before optics.

Help me have a pretty lawn - central Wyoming

I’m a recent home owner and I’m loving taking care of my lawn. We had a really weird winter, where we didn’t get much snow and had warm temps in the late winter/early spring and then some big heavy late snow (6 inches on May 20th). My lawn has some big yellow patches where the grass looks dead. I can pretty easily pull it out in tufts. This side of my yard gets pretty constant sun (east facing). I’ve been doing deep watering every 3-4 days. What else can I be doing? Help a girl out.

Toast and Goose

Toast has been home for only about 18 hours and Goose is already settling into big brother mode. So proud of my boy 🥹 they’ve played together briefly amd Goose has been observing him a lot. Only a couple hisses.

Toasty boy

We are in the final countdown! Baby boy is 10 weeks old and we get to pick him up in just a few more weeks. I just cannot wait.
