Picked up some new Billies and I'm loving everything except this possible defect on the left leg, circled in red. When I run my finger over the light spot, I can physically feel a bump. Other than the visual discrepancy, will this cause any real issue down the line like a hole?
I can already smell the comments trashing new TR but I like it anyway so lol
Their Gloss Absolu hair perfume smells absolutely divine to me. It’s such a sugary, citrusy floral and I’m a sucker for sweeter scents that still smell luxurious.
Copy-and-paste from the Sephora website:
“Top notes include sparkling lemon, rich bergamot, and cardamom. Heart notes include iris, jasmine, freesia, orange flower, and green tea. Bottom notes are sandalwood and vanilla.”
Anyone have recs for an actual perfume that smells similar but with much better longevity and sillage? Budget is between $100-$500 give or take
I’ve been Rouge since high school; and I noticed the new “Rouge Private Hotline” popped up in the customer service tab sometime in the past year-ish(?)
Is it actually separate line, or is it just sneaky marketing to make Rouge feel more special—and does that mean the regular line is worse? What happens if a non-Rouge person dials it?
Asking because I unluckily made two big purchases right before some point multipliers went live, and I’m addicted to racking up points for the $100 reward. The agents on the Rouge line have retroactively applied points for me before instead of making me haul ass to my local store for a wasteful return/rebuy. But I hate phone calls and would rather just text CS if the level of service is no different from calling.
Finally fixed the issue that stopped me from playing CK for almost a year😭 So I dug in my old folder of CK3 DNA .txt files and pulled up this one. Made a few tweaks and ta-da!
You might recognize my user because I used to be pretty active on here. Some of my old posts include:
Self-Portrait, "Chang-hee", "Guifei", "Mina", "Su-young" ... And a few more that I had to take down for various reasons, but am willing to re-upload!
I got a lot of requests back then, but never had time to finish any. I am now open to taking requests, especially since you guys liked my Asian DNAs so much!

Ordered the Glow hair mask off of TikTok Shop and it shipped unusually fast. As a Southerner, every package I receive arrives at my doorstep extremely warm during the summer. I sometimes worry about the product spoiling or degrading do to this, but what can I do? I just tell myself that even if I purchased a product in person, it still would've had to withstand the same conditions while being shipped to the store, so either way, the product should be fine. Plus, online ordering tends to have way better deals and/or freebies, so I can't resist.
I was pleasantly surprised when I unboxed this order because the product was literally cold to the touch, as if it had been refrigerated. I've never experienced cosmetics arriving like this. There wasn't an ice pack or anything alongside it, and the package had been out for delivery for a very long time. It was delivered by Gofo, which I've never heard of. Does anyone have an explanation? Not that this was a bad thing, I'm just surprised and wondering if Glow had anything to do with this.
I am yet to try the product, but I'll update with a review later if anyone asks.
I’ve heard this phrase a few times from my parents but I don’t really understand their explanation. They say it’s a phrase that combines English, Japanese, and Korean, but what’s the actual purpose of the phrase?
I've had my fair share of absolutely horrible, unbelievable customer service stories from big, luxury corporations, and I believe everyone's experiences when they share issues with online orders. Because of that, I've avoided ordering online as much as possible. However, I recently had to order the Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream (+ Anastasia Archibrow, as pictured) online as it's not carried in-store anywhere near me.
When it arrived today, the box for the was slightly ajar at the bottom, and there was grass outside the bottom of the product. When I inspected the tube, it was absolutely covered in handprints and someone had clearly squeezed out some of the product.
I called the Rouge line immediately and described the issue to the lovely customer service agent, Joanna (hopefully I spelled it right). She believed me immediately and sent me a replacement along with some samples. On top of everything, I didn't have to return the item! I did ask whether my package was shipped from a store or a distribution center, and she confirmed it came from a DC, which only makes me more confused about how this could possibly happen (anyone have ideas?).
This probably won't happen to me again, since I'm assuming they have a 1-time exception policy or something for online order issues. I know it's usually only bad experiences that are reported, but I've realized that although they might be rare, they can happen to anyone. I'm so grateful and happy, however, to have been heard and accommodated.

And for the hair cream, I purchased it because I've received a mini sample before, so I already have a review ready. I have medium-to-thick, straight 1B-1C hair. I have issues with tangling and damage because I dye it black. In the past, my virgin hair couldn't handle heavy products, and it would get weighed down or look greasy. However, due to the damage, my hair handles them much better. For example, I bought the Gisou hair oil long ago and, like many other reviews, found it way too heavy, so it collected dust on my shelf. After I started dying my hair black, it absorbed the oil way better.
When I used the sample, it instantly nourished, softed, and detangled + actually added shine like it claims! I also used this on my mother, whose hair is much thinner and frizzier now due to natural aging, and she perms it once a year + dyes it frequently, so there's a decent amount of damage. It worked absolute wonders on her, even my dad noticed. It made her hair so shiny; however, my mom felt like it took away some of her volume, which I didn't experience. We style our hair daily using heat, and it seemed to live up to its heat-protection claims. This is the best hair product I've personally ever tried, and I've lately been phasing out all of my Kerastase products for Oribe!
Hi all, there's been a lot of buzz about the new YSL cushion ever since it dropped, but I am yet to see a full review on it. Pictures are after 8 hours of wear.
For reference, I'm 21F living in a humid subtropical climate. I have dehydrated oily skin, but as I've gotten a little older, my skin is starting to lean more dry. I'm prone to creasing in my smile lines, foundation breaking up in pores due to sebum, and my base looking cakey in areas with dryness or flakiness. A big part of my routine is regular extractions and dermaplaning to keep my face smooth. I'm usually shade 13N-17N in Korean foundations and I got LC1, but I want to mention the shade range is very yellow (like most, if not all, YSL complexion products tbh) and it probably won't work for anyone paler than me.
Base Routine: Skincare & Sunscreen -> YSL Cushion -> Hourglass, Glow Concealers -> Givenchy Pressed Powder -> Huda Loose Powder baked in the smile lines
I want to start by describing the texture of the foundation. When I swatched it on the back of my hand, it was like a very creamy and moisturizing concealer, but it wasn't at all thin or watery like other glowy formulations. This is NOT a cushion you want to press hard into; try to dispense as little of the foundation onto the puff as possible as a tiny bit goes a long way. You get a lot of playtime with this formula, it's not like quick-setting foundations like Double Wear where you have to blend section-by-section as quickly as possible. Because of this, however, the foundation is slightly more transferable than others--which I personally don't really care about, because I always mattify any foundation with setting powder.
This foundation is by far the easiest one I've ever applied. It blends like a dream and sits exactly where I want it to, whereas other formulations get patchy if you try to build up too much coverage. It also sheers out nicely in areas I don't need as much coverage. The part that wow'd me was that it didn't cling to any dry patches. It had a beautiful finish and there was 0 cakiness.
I then went out for about 8 hours and spent a decent amount of time outside as well (weather was warm and slightly cloudy). Got home and my base developed a smooth, subtle glow. If I'm wearing a foundation that doesn't suit me, my face will look greasy and you'll see my makeup dissolving in my pores up close. I know this cushion suits me well because it stayed cohesive, had only a satin finish, and overall my face felt pretty light.
The true wear test is after 24 hours, though. Please don't judge or lecture me, but I used to fall asleep in my makeup all the time, and through this habit I would find out which foundations truly lived up to their wear claims😬!! This happens a lot less now, and I've gotten pretty good at doing my whole skincare routine before bed, but for the sake of this review, I will revert to my old ways. Will either edit this post or update in the comments once my trial has concluded.
For those wondering if we're shade twins, I'll list all my known shade matches in a comment, since this post is long enough.
24HR+ UPDATE: It performed decently! I wouldn't say it's the longest-lasting out of all the foundations I've tried, but still it passed the test so I'd say it's a long-lasting formula. The foundation stayed on instead of breaking down in sebum, and became super glowy. It was also less pore-clogging than other foundations. Skin texture looked good up close.
Love this romper and how it looks but I'm afraid of catching stares from moms and Karens, so I'd rather just not buy it if it means not having to deal with them.
TL;DR: People clock my autism so often but when I mention my own autism to other (mostly NT) people, they react so negatively as if I just called myself a loser or something and try to "cheer me up". Am I not supposed to bring it up to NT people or something?
--
For as long as I can remember, I've been reminded of my autistic tendencies by everyone 24/7. Due to incredibly neglectful teachers, excellent grades achieved with little effort, and parents who just interpreted me to be a "silly/quirky" girl, I slipped through and was never diagnosed.
Throughout school, people always said there was "just something off" about me, and I was ostracized by my peers for overall "being weird". As I entered college, people just straight up started calling me autistic, usually friends and coworkers and not in a hostile way.
I'm constantly asked by both neurotypical and neurodivergent people if I'm autistic and/or diagnosed, with varying degrees of politeness ranging from "are you autistic? I'm asking because I/friend is and I see a lot of similarities" to "are you autistic? You should really get that checked out". This makes me think I'm not very good at masking, but people let it slide because I'm a "conventionally attractive" and stylish woman.
And so, I've gotten used to viewing myself as an autistic person. I'm pretty comfortable with and have accepted this label, I really like myself and the way my brain works. I have amazing conversations with my diagnosed autistic friends and we relate to eachother so much in ways we don't with neurotypical people. So lately, when I start to sense neurotypical people noticing my autism using social and contextual cues, I declare my autism in a very casual, nonchalant, and often joking manner.
Most people don't care when I do this, but I'll get the occasional person who reacts strongly to this either by heavily insisting I'm not autistic at all or trying to "cheer me up". Recently, a classmate asked me why I knew so much information about my special interest, so I said something along the lines of "my bad, my autistic ass loves talking about special interests" in an obviously joking and lighthearted manner. She got extremely upset and told me to stop talking down on myself and that I seem to hate myself (we've had only 2 conversations and the first one was about our class), which offended me because, to me, the only reason she might think that about me is because she thinks autism is something I should hate or be ashamed of--which might be true because she comes from an extremely traditional background.
This makes me consider just not telling people about my autism, at all. But when I do tell people about it and it's received positively, people are so much more understanding and vibe with me better. When I don't, I just get ostracized like I was back in school because everyone just calls me a weirdo and avoids me. I don't think I bring it up too much, because when I hear about the way people describe me, it's always amazing things and never about my autism. What is happening and what do I do?
The Yesstyle one also claims to have SPF 50+ PA++++. Judging from the ingredient list in the new US formulation, it has little to no dimethicones, so the foundation might be much less blurring than the Asia formulation. I notice Titanium Dioxide is quite high up in the US formula, which I believe to be a sunscreen ingredient, but there is no mention of sun protection on the Sephora website.
Ingredients list on Sephora: Aqua/Water/Eau, Ci 77891/Titanium Dioxide, C9-12 Alkane, C15-19 Alkane, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentaisostearate, Ci 77492/Iron Oxides, Glycerin, Squalane, Propanediol, Pentylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Triheptanoin, Lauroyl Lysine, Magnesium Sulfate, Ci 77491/Iron Oxides, Dilinoleic Acid/Butanediol Copolymer, Ci 77499/Iron Oxides, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Stearic Acid, Alumina, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hectorite, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Niacinamide, Polyglutamic Acid, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Parfum/Fragrance, Aluminum Hydroxide, Isostearic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Castor Oil/Ipdi Copolymer, Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Silica Silylate, Jasminum Officinale Flower Extract/Jasmine Flower Extract, Tocopherol.
Ingredients list on Yesstyle: Aqua / Water / Eau, Methyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Lauryl Peg-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Trisiloxane, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Magnesium Sulfate, Acrylates/Stearyl Acrylate/Dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Lauroyl Lysine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Stearic ACID, Polyhydroxystearic ACID, Alumina, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Isododecane, Lecithin, Isopropyl Myristate, Isostearic ACID, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Adenosine, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Disodium Edta, Silica Silylate, Bht, Propylene Carbonate, Tocopherol, Jasminum Officinale Flower Extract / Jasmine Flower Extract, Parfum / Fragrance
Edit: I just realized the name is different but the packaging is so similar that I and probably many other people believed it was supposed to be the same product. I'm a bit disappointed because I wanted easier access to the iconic Asian formulation here in the US
To be clear: I'm not asking what heat protection does. Moreso why this product exists when so many other products already add heat protection along with many other benefits
I've been into Oribe products lately but I'm wondering what the purpose of the dry heat protection spray is. I feel like every other product in the entire Sephora already has heat protection--leave-in conditioners, hair oils, masks, etc. Is there any reason I should get this when I already have other products that seemingly serve the same purpose and even more?
i.e. I have the Kerastase Gloss Absolu Frizz Milk and it already protects my hair from heat on top of detangling and conditioning it. I also have the Grandiose Mousse from Oribe and that provides heat protection too.
How do they fit? Are they flared like in the pictures, or more fitted? Did you size up or down from your sweatpant size? Would love to hear any and all thoughts on these shorts!
