First Trench Crusade Mini
Bought this mini for £1 on an eBay live stream. Only really painted warhammer before. Had a blast painting him up, really cool and detailed sculpt.

Which old Ork mini do you wish GW would revamp and renew? Obviously everyone is screaming out for grot tanks, but I always wanted a grot launcher. It is built on the old wartrack frame so with the new wartrack it wouldn’t be difficult as a build option. Also I miss all the various tanks that you used to be able to get on forgeworld in the 2000’s
Got hold of the new wartrack on eBay and decided to paint it up and do a comparison to the original that I painted some time in the late 90s.
Need to varnish it and tighten up a few small details but I had to go to work and this was as far as I got with it. I got excited and wanted to share.
I like to base my nids in an industrial setting (normally requires a bit of kit modification to remove the built in basing parts). I have created this for my psychophage. Next up is painting the mini itself and attaching the 2 together but I got distracted by the large base and the potential it offered.
Had this idea for a nid scheme so made up one of my unpainted termagants and tried it out. Wanted to make it look like the carapace was ancient brass armour. Really like how this turned out and I think I can push the armour for more detail on the next one.

I am listening to First and Only at the moment and it seems to me that Gaunt’s Ghosts would make a perfect kill team. I see that there is a Gaunt’s Ghosts set but it is for the 40K main game. Has anyone used this set to form the core of a custom kill team and if so which minis did you use to make up the numbers?
I am in the process of painting up my first 2 kill teams and am excited about trying out my first game (going to force the wife into playing with me). I want some terrain that isn’t just stuff raided from the recycling bin and I have found the TT combat sector kits.

Would something like this work well for kill team? I heard that verticality was important in kill team games.

From the Embergard set, really beautiful mini and a joy to paint.
They are so much fun to paint and the models are so delightfully complex and intricate. I am really trying to push colour in my necron painting at the moment. I hope you like.
Good (dead) god this was an absolute pain to build. Pretty fun to paint though. Trying for more bright colours in my warhammer minis as the added contrast really helps the paint job hit harder in my opinion.
The one from Kung Fu Hustle vs Jet Li’s the one. We will assume there are still 2 Jet Lis as the film suggests when there is only 1 he becomes a god and we would also have nothing to work off.
Really enjoyed painting this ATV as a fun project!
