How many buckets of balls do you go through?

I just took the mid day to take a T to a field and went through 4 full buckets thinking it wasn’t a big deal but boy was I cooked after. How many times do you guys refill for BP before you call it?

Side note… I figured out that being uncomfortably close to the T puts you in position to actually not reach, rotate towards the ball and strike the sweet spot on the barrel.

Sheets for a Technogel Mattress Recommendation?

Hello! We have invested in this mattress and I need new sheets and a mattress protector to really utilize the cooling aspect of the mattress.

I know we need Goretech for the protector but we also need breathable sheets. I’d prefer to stay with natural fibers if possible. They also need to be deep sheets to account for the height of the mattress.

I’d love to hear what people recommend. Happy to stay away from Amazon and find a family owned business to accommodate our needs. TIA!

Cap Brands?

I’m out of the game so I’m looking for your help in recommending a capacitor brand, 2F, for my little system.

Mourning the lifestyle changes to come.

After this flare, my knee, I’m going to start making the life style changes I need to. After my first and gentle second I quit drinking cold turkey. That was easy two years ago but the diet changes… it hurts. I know it’s a moderation thing but the more I think about what I eat and how much it is on the do not eat list the more I’m actually sad about it.

“I don’t eat that many red meats” and then I actually realized most of my loved foods are said foods. I’m also Polish and boy do we love sausage, pork and all the goodies.

As I begin this journey to transition my meals away from frozen foods, red meats and so on… who’s got some menu ideas that they just love after going through this process?

Does placing mains on sound isolators help?

Saw a post on budgetaudiophile and now I’m wondering if my mains could benefit from this. Curious if you lot have done this with audible benefits.

Oh, you can get gout in the knee!? FML

I didn’t know… I got it in my toe the first two times and this, holy hell is it the worst Fing pain ever. I’m seeing my dr in the AM to see what they say but after reading through other posts it’s got to be gout.

Flared up as I was walking to the bathroom. So no trauma to reference. Spent the last three days in agony trying to rest, ice, heat, pain meds and most of it feels like it’s doing nothing.

Question for the regulars… how should my lifestyle change to prevent this. General wins that help you keep this away? Beyond the meds that is. TIA!
