People who look like they have problem

This post isn't directed at everyone but it always happens to the usual suspects - people who look like they have a problem. I legit don't understand, how come it's always the same people who look like they have a problem who always acts out. Not just kids or teens, even adults and elderly. I had the priviledge to get into an argument with one of such person recently, and instead of talking rationally, this person continues to insist and shout on a point they make which sounds very ridiculous, but because they keep shouting and rambling about their point, I had to give way to him because there will be no end unless he gets his way. At work also, always the same usual people, low eq or ???. Even people I see on the news recently, what taking pics of others, sa underage minors, pushing elderly, tocuhing people's kids head, all look like got problem. Cb, today also, I waiting at the traffic light, another guy pressed the traffic light button, this other guy walk infront, pressed the button 3-4 times again rapidly like he cannot wait already, the moment light turns green, he immediately walk like he trying to show his dominance. Then, I walking down the staircase at the mrt, these 2 guys, just fucking sit down at the staircase, blocking everyone, I say excuse me they look at me like I am the one blocking them. Legit, fucking sick and tired of this people. I also don't want to argue with them cause their brain confirm got some damage also. Fucking tired of these people. Like fucking kids in an adult body.

How to deal with a very problematic person?

How do I deal with someone who is so downright fking problematic. I tried avoiding this person but he just take it as an attack to him. This person likes to act smart and give stupid "advice", it usually cause more trouble than the problem. He will force his advice on me and take offence when I don't follow it. He likes to talk in a way that sounds like mental gymnastics also. He will say things like "I work here very long already" after giving his dumb shit advice, and he will play gaslighting games that sounds like he is right, like mentally forcing ppl to agree with him. He rages easily also, often bursting out when he sees something he doesn't like. For example, if he sees someone doing something at their desk, then he will shout "BRO, YOU DO HERE LA" when it can be done near his desk as well. It is so exhausting to be around him, can't avoid him also because he will come and pattern. I legit cannot, he is just one position higher than me. He walks around like he is the main character and he will not hesitate to punish anyone in his way. When boss come, he lick the boss shoe like no tomorrow

Starting to lose interest in taking care of my res

The first 8 months when I got my hatchling res, I was really enthusiastic about taking care of it. I spent about 1k+ in building his tank and I would spend some days making sure it was the best tank I could give it. The tank took about 3 months for me to finally make it so that his needs are met. Then I spent the next 5 months experimenting what he likes, what causes him lesser stress, the ideal basking temperature, and other luxuries like a 2nd basking area etc. The first 8 months of weekly water changes wasn't dreaded because even when I started to get tired of it, I told myself I was the one who wanted a turtle, so it would be my responsbility to change it's water. However, after the first 8 months, I'm starting to lose interest in taking care of it. They are so much work, my little guy moves everything I set in the tank, I even tied some of the decorations down, and he was still able to move it. So every week, I have to retie it . I recently bought suction cups to keep them in place, but somehow he was able to still move the decorations around. He also tore a part off the filter. I also started to dread water changes because it would me take at least 3 hours to clean the filter, remove the water and refill, vacuum the debri and then clean up the mess. Also, he seems really bored in it's tank recently and I searched online about it and people say it's normal, it's apparently their low energy mode. I used to enjoy feeding him, changing his water and rearranging his stuff back to their original position but this little guy is really a tiny shell wrecking ball. I'm afraid I will eventually lose completely interest in him and neglect taking care of him. Is it time to put him up for rehoming?

Has my res outgrown her tank?

My res has been living in a 50 gallon tank since was a hatchling. She has grown to 8cm in shell length in 8 months and she looks really bored in her tank. Back when she was still a hatchling, she was very active and constantly 'playing'. Now, she spends alot of time idling ontop of the carbon cubes in the corner of the tank, almost the whole day, aside from basking and swimming occasionally. I tried rearranging the decorations for a new environment and she gets excited and explores it for a few days, then goes back to idling on the carbon cubes for majority of the day. She looks really bored to me. Is it time for a tank upgrade?

Extremely picky res on basking temperature

My res, 8 months old, is very picky about her basking temperature. I have asked chatgpt what the ideal basking temperature was and it say 32°-35°. I adjusted the basking temperature of the log that my res uses to bask to 32° on one side, 33° in the middle, 34° on the other side. Sometimes she will crawl up and basks for really long in the 32° side of the log. She rarely uses the 34° side and uses the 32° - 33° more. But on many occasions, she would climb to the 32° side for a few seconds, then go back in the water. She seems to prefer cooling basking temperatures but she also won't bask for the whole day sometimes. I can't tell what temperature does she want her basking log to be except she likes it around the 32°-33° range. She seems to like it when it was 29° as well which is too cool according to chatgpt, but then after a while, she would stop basking completely. I want to make the basking temperature ideal for her but I don't know how what she wants. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Girl or boy?

I think she's a female because she's kinda big, about 8cm in shell length at 8 months old, but I'm not too sure

struggles of gen z, alpha and beta in singapore

  1. If you were born ugly, it's straight up over. This is self explanatory.

  2. High ambition, limited resources. Everybody wants to be rich right? However, everything is getting more expensive while the salary stays the same. For people who want to start their own buisness, everything is already very efficient and it feels like every buisness has already been done, so most industries are already very saturated.

  3. Social media washing. This is the age of social media. Everytime you open instagram or tiktok, you see people travelling, attending expensive events, buying homes or seemingly living their best lives. It's easy to feel like you're falling behind or losing out even though you are just seeing the highlights.

  4. Unrealistic standards. Its not enough to be average now. Everyone thinks you should be attractive, making 5 figures, socially outgoing, leading an exciting life all while staying humble. The reality is, most people are average and that's normal, yet, it feels like being average is treated as a failure

  5. Never satisfied. It feels like no matter what you achieve, it's never enough. Once you reach one goal, another immediately takes its place. Graduate from university? Now you need a prestigious job. Get a good job? Now you need a higher salary. Earn more? Now you should buy a house. Buy a house? Now you should get married. Get married? Now people ask when you're having children. There's always another milestone, another expectation, and another person doing better. Instead of appreciating how far you've come, you're constantly chasing what's next.

How do you deal with the all your suppressed negative emotions?

I have so much hate and anger bottled up inside me that it's all I think about everyday. I've read that all I have to do is forgive and move on but I can't do it. I physically and mentally can't. I've pretended to forgive but it just makes me more frustrated. I don't want to spend the rest of my life carrying this around. I feel so exhausted even when I am at home. I tried channeling that energy into the gym, or distracting myself with video games and aquarium keeping but I'm still angry. It's not normal. How do you deal with it? Will it fade eventually? Is there something I can do that genuinely helps?

Tiktok turtle tank

Found this on tiktok. Not an aquarium, but this is basically a torture chamber. The turtle was trying to escape from its tank and the owners were laughing at it because they found it amusing.

Where to find dates in SG beside dating apps?

I am 29M, working and single. I missed the opportunity to find a girlfriend during my poly and uni days. I'm thinking I'm not getting any younger and I should probably try to find a partner before it's too late. Is there any other way besides using dating apps to find a partner?

Why are there so many fked ppl in SG

Everything is a comparison of status, power and ego. I was at the mall and walking up the staircase, everyone was keeping left and some guy decides it's a good idea to walk down on the right, he had a look like he was better than everybody and everyone gave way to him. Then while I was buying lunch, an office lady ordered the wrong item and the cashier working there told her she ordered that item instead of what she wanted, then she made a gesture like "Whatever" like the cashier purposely gave her the wrong order. I'm not done yet, while going home, I went to a mamashop to buy a drink, this guy came in and shouted at the cashier "CIGGARETTE". Bro wtf? The aunty just took out the ciggarette and passed it to him then moved on to the next customer. Idk if there is any beef between the aunty and that customer or not but she was always nice to me and the other customers. I feel so exhausted just by being around these people. I have been noticing these behaviours becoming more and more common since 2024. Wtf happened??

New basking platform setup for Loki

I just finished adjusting the heat lamp for my 8 month old red eared slider. Previously, the basking platform was 41 degrees, so I raised the heat lamp higher. Now the temperature is around 33 to 35 degrees. The set up looks much better now and the temperature is more natural for basking. I think my red eared slider is going to love her new basking platform 🥰

Just wanted to share this photo of my res looking at my hand

I was trying to feel the warmth of the basking log to see if it was warm enough and my res climbed onto the log and started following my hand, I was scared that he was going to bite me at first so I moved my hand higher and he continued to stare at it, and I was able to take a photo of this moment which I thought was super cool

Being polite in sg

Living in sg has taught me one thing, you got to speak aggressively or else ppl will walk over you. I've always been a polite and respectful person but it doesn't seem like people value it. So I stopped being polite and suddenly everybody started being respecful. I started calling people out for their flaws, being aggresive and less tolerant of bs and people seem to love it so much. I can't tell if they are faking to love it or they secretly dislike it but it's just the culture here. I feel bad because of the powertrip and sometimes I accidentally ended up being blunt to people, but they seem to really love it. Wtf is wrong with the people in sg? Being polite seems like an invitation to get disrespected.

Baby res stopped basking after lighting upgrade

I recently upgraded my baby red-eared slider's lighting setup. Previously, I was using one of those cheap UVA/UVB bulbs. 2 weeks ago, I replaced it with a reptisun t5 ho 10.0 UVB and exoterra intense basking heat bulb 50w. The temperatures seem fine, and the basking area is getting warm enough. However, ever since the upgrade, my baby slider has stopped basking or he would climb up the basking area and jump off after a few minutes. Before the upgrade, he would climb onto the basking platform regularly. Does anyone know why he is avoiding the basking area?

Looks is the most important thing ever

Looks are everything. Unless you are from a 3rd world country, live in poverty, have health issues or a disabled, looks is the most important thing. It is more important than having a degree, a masters, being smart, talented or rich even. When you are ugly, none of those things matter. People just take one good look at you and label you as inferior. People will be fake for your success or doing whatever they can for your downfall. You will still face mistreatment, backstabs, being the gossip among others, face loneliness and probably find a spouse who uses you for what you can provide like money or an emotional pillow. Whereas an average or good looking person can enjoy normal things without being judged or face disagreements. Looks is everything, the end.

Do people actually sleep with their managers and bosses for benefits?

I'm curious because I have never worked a real job before. Do people sleep or flirt with their bosses for extra benefits? I'm seeing and hearing many news and gossips about people willing to tease and flirt with their superior to get what they want, or when their superiors flirt with them, they are pressured to reciprocate. Even in many social media post, I see them very close to their boss. Are they also sleeping with them?

Feeling lonely despite being surrounded by people

I am 27M, single, and I have been working for 2 years. I have a small friend group and I get along well with most people at work, yet I still feel lonely despite constantly being surrounded by people. It feels as if everyone is putting on a show and just being there for the ride. It wasn't always like this, but the older I grew, the more it feels like everybody is just tolerating everyone else. One thing I noticed is that many people are fake, and authencity is very rare now. Everyone is just a copy of each other, putting on a fake smile and praying for other people's downfall. It is very rare to find a genuinely kind person in singapore because the culture here forces everybody into survival mode. Everyone feels so distant from each other. Does anybody feel the same way?
