Help with my Bangla

I will be living in Dhaka for a few months starting later this year. I speak Bangla but you can clearly tell it is not my first language. I am wondering if there is a discord channel or anyone who wants to communicate in Bangla to help my annunciation when communicating with others. I want to limit the amount I will be made fun of regarding my accent. :)

7-month quick update 7000+graft Dr. Victor Romero

Stats & Logistics:

  • Clinic: Dr. Victor Romero (Brazil)
  • Total Grafts: 7,000+ (FUE)
  • Procedure: 16-hour marathon session (Single day, sedated)
  • Package: Airport transfers, 5-night hotel, overnight nursing care, and clinical hair washes.

Post-Op Regimen:

  • Oral: 0.5mg Dutasteride / 5mg Minoxidil
  • Topical/Device: LLLT (Every other day) alternating with 1% Caffeine topical.

Just a quick update as I've done a month 6 previously. I am noticing more thickness however it could just be my hair growing longer.

Visiting Bangladesh for 3 months

Hi, Bangladeshi American and fortunate enough to work from anywhere in the world and I figured I'd spend some time in Bangladesh. I've only visited one other time with parents and my Bangla is alright, I speak with a heavy accent but I can communicate. I am renting an apartment in Banani which I'm told is a nice neighborhood. So, I would like some advice before going there.

  1. Whats a good way to make friends or find people to hang out with

  2. What is the dating scene like? What apps work best? I would really love to date a Bangladeshi and get to know them.

  3. What are the best party scenes? I will be there during the roof top party in January, how do I gain access to some.

  4. What are must go hang out places in the city

  5. What are must visit places in the country

  6. Any advice or tips you can provide?

Anyways, feel free to DM or leave a comment.

6-Month Update: 7000+ Grafts with Dr. Victor Romero (The Growth Phase)

Stats & Logistics:

  • Clinic: Dr. Victor Romero (Brazil)
  • Total Grafts: 7,000+ (FUE)
  • Procedure: 16-hour marathon session (Single day, sedated)
  • Package: Airport transfers, 5-night hotel, overnight nursing care, and clinical hair washes.

Post-Op Regimen:

  • Oral: 0.5mg Dutasteride / 5mg Minoxidil
  • Topical/Device: LLLT (Every other day) alternating with 1% Caffeine topical.

6-Month Progress:

Finally at the growth phase. Biggest thing I've noticed is I am no longer wearing hats but I am using hair fiber on sunny days to make it look dense. Density is supposed to increase during months 8-12 and I'm looking forward to experiencing the improvements.

I've added pictures of month 6 with two different lighting, one with direct and top light another with natural light through a window

I would love opinions and suggestions. Please add to the comments.

Looking for Rental

Hi Everyone.

I'll be in Bangladesh at the end of the year for about 2-3 months, partly for vacation and partly looking at some investments. I am looking for an apartment to rent but would like it in a walkable neighborhood. Any recommendations and how does one go about finding short time rentals?

Also, please let me know places where I can meet new people! Would love to make new friends while I am there! My Bangla is alright, last time I was in Bangladesh in 2018 and tried using what I know when I went shopping in Aarong the sales lady said "Thumar Bangla Etho cute" I wasn't sure if it was a compliment or if I should have stopped using it. Anyways, Help!
