Luna Not Allowing 2 Controllers To be connected.

One controller connects no problem, but over the past month it no longer allows a second actual controller (Xbox or PS) to be connected, essentially making coop useless.

I tried connecting the second controller directly to the TV and even though it's connected, it doesn't work in game. Tried connecting it directly to the fire stick so both controllers are connected to the fire stick, yet, the second doesn't work in game.

Why would I get premium over standard?

I got a free 1-week trial for premium that I tried out and I didn’t really see a difference. Are they not showing me the entire game list in the trial? For folks who have premium, how many games do you have to choose from?
-Thanks-

July 2nd-July 8th Games to Claim

I refreshed the page to make sure, and I figured the titles might be up for offer when I saw the Epic icon pop up to show they have their own mobile title to redeem in their app.

Going to redeem those games now for myself.

Monthly games predictions?

Oh I might as well do it 🤣

I don't think anyone has successfully nailed a prediction yet.

I wouldn't even have a clue now but maybe someone hit gold with a July prediction?.

Going absolutely insane with Luna controller / multiplayer games.

it seems like every multiplayer game has different issues with connecting controls.

I have two Luna controllers. I figured out that I had to give each controller their own Amazon account and add them to a group in the app so that they would work at the same time. Problem is that they only work SOMETIMES. I have only been able to find one game that works consistently with two controllers and a phone (Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime) and all other games either require only phones or will only recognize one device at a time.

i am actually losing my mind. it cannot be this complicated. I am having to do extensive research between every game and getting abso nowhere.

can someone share a list of games that will work with two Luna controllers, or help me figure out how to keep the structure of the controllers consistent? I feel awful that my kids and I are so frustrated dealing with this.

High demand on Monday morning??

How can Luna be experiencing high demand on Monday morning?? Are they shutting servers down to make more profits? Wouldn't surprise me. I'm sure their inane tv games don't require so much processing power.

Updated Luna App on Chromecast now some of the text is off screen

I don't see an option in the updated Luna App to fix the overscan in on the app and now all the text close to the border is out side the viewable of the TV.
Is there a way to do that without messing with the TV settings? I know other devices like PS4 and PS5 allow you to adjust the view range of the TV/monitor.

The hidden Luna app streaming stats

In Fire TV devices, pressing the Menu button while in-game brings 5 basic stats: Bandwidth, FPS, Video frames skipped, Resolution and Audio channels.

Turns out the app tracks 15 more metrics only for internal debugging that you can't see and were displayed for the screenshot by recompiling the app.

A request to the Luna team, the kind of nerd that would look at the metrics would find it useful to add to the info displayed to the public:

  • Decode Latency
  • Packets Lost
  • Media Codec name (i.e. decoder name)

Improving quality of life for Android TV users

When sideloading in Android TV devices the stats cannot be launched with the Menu button because... there's no Menu button in most remotes 😅. There is a convoluted way to display the stats by sending an intent with the adb tool while in-game but it's highly inconvenient:

adb shell am broadcast -a com.amazon.action.toggle.metric.overlay -p com.amazon.spiderpork

Maybe the metrics toggle could be added inside the app settings, that would make the feature much more friendly for the unofficial but welcome Android TV support.

In fact, with that and the fix to prioritize the low-latency decoders discussed in a previous post would be almost perfect in many devices.

EA FC 26: Massive lagging/stuttering after 2-3 matches on Luna

Hi everyone,

I’m creating this post because EA FC 26 becomes completely unplayable on Amazon Luna after playing just 2 to 3 matches. The framerate drops massively, and the input delay becomes unbearable.

To rule out my own setup, I tested the game on my local gaming PC as well. My PC has more than enough power, but it suffers from the exact same issue:

  • My Local PC Specs:
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
    • RAM: 32 GB DDR4
    • Performance: It easily runs hardware-heavy games on Ultra settings flawlessly for hours without a single issue.
    • Even on this local machine with a solid GPU, EA FC 26 starts stuttering heavily after 2-3 games, which is a textbook sign of a terrible VRAM memory leak in EA's engine.

Since Luna runs the PC version of the game, the exact same coding bug is killing the Luna servers. I checked the in-game settings on Luna and verified that the game is assigned to an NVIDIA VGX instance (NVIDIA Tesla T4 with 16 GB VRAM) running at 1080p / 60Hz on the Frankfurt (Germany) servers.

Even if I set all graphical settings in the game to "Low", the server performance completely degrades after 45 minutes of gameplay. My internet connection is absolutely perfect: 243 Mbps Download / 40 Mbps Upload with a stable 8 ms ping to Frankfurt.

This is 100% a software issue on EA's end. The game simply fails to clear the VRAM cache after a match ends, eventually choking the 16 GB VRAM of the server instance. The only temporary fix right now is restarting the Luna stream every two games.

Are any other European players experiencing this? Is there any way the Luna team can contact EA about this broken memory management? It’s ruining an otherwise great cloud experience.

Is a Fire stick good enough for cloud gaming?

I have an Xbox and Switch 2, but I'm curious about Amazon Luna. With Prime days, I can get a Fire Stick 4K Plus and Luna Controller for £55, which isn't very expensive. Is the Fire stick 4K good enough for cloud gaming?

Jedi survivor lost gameplay after crash

It happened again. Two days ago I lost a solid 8 hours of gameplay after a crash on Amazon luna. I got on with it and replayed those hours. But now it happened again. At least 6 hours of gameplay lost after a crash. It just put me back on yesterday's save file. It is quite disheartening and not sure if I have it in me to continue again.

Anyone else having these problems?

Fn is "not available

There is no more continuing playing, and it says fn or any game is not available for 1 day now. At first, I thought it was a problem for me only, so I reported, but I checked today. And it still doesn't work. Is there way to fix this? (i checked links and everything too)

Looking in from the outside

I cancelled some time ago, but I'm interested in cloud gaming and how platforms operate, so I can't help but dip occasionally..

I don't think we got much for June did we, I don't suppose there are any rumoured massive changes coming but I thought I'd ask?

Well, I wasn't expecting this today

To anyone who read my previous post about Skyrim AE leaving Luna Standard on the 17th of July. I wasn't expecting this, wow.

discovered Luna yesterday, grabbed some games from GOG, but they still are not accessible through Luna.

Hi all,

grabbed the 2 xcom games from GOG yesterday along witha couple Indies. On GOG website it said it would take a while for stuff to show up under my games. It's been more than 12hrs by now and still nothing.

My GOG account is linked within Luna, but they still not show up under "my games/ my stuff".

How long does it take for stuff to be playable?
