windows 7 pro on a toughbook cf-c2

just installed windows 7 pro on my toughbook with all drivers installed and the laptop is working really well considering it's age, it does run windows 11 fine but i wanted to use it with 7 for some office work & retro games also as a media player as win 7 pro includes media centre ,

anyone else using windows 7 on their toughbook? or have you got linux or windows 11 on them.,

thoughts on using a nokia 225 as a dumb phone for basic use, calls/texts maybe mp3 player as a daily driver or secondary phone? here in the uk it says 4g handset as well

if you have one, whats your thoughts on the handset, is it worth getting? i think the battery would probably last 2 days on a full charge as no social apps etc draining it

my old lumia 950 is still going strong(ish) in 2026 not concerned with having lots of apps as long as the basics work, e,g calls, texts, email & some web browsing, even still able to use continuum dock which is a bonus setup with a 22" tv bluetooth keyboard & mouse makes a fairly decent desktop setup

who else is still using theirs?

anyone still using a palm device? i just managed to get a 3com palm iii from ebay in great condition but hasn't got it's dock cradle :-( is there another way to connect/sync with my old laptop? or do i need to find a dock & serial adaptor?

oh, & if batteries needed to be replaced can i turn it off change batteries turn it back on & everything still be there or will it lose everything?

been a long time since used one of these & looking forward to setting it up, was thinking is it possible to use 'ir' port to sync or install apps?
