No texting, no voice messages, no email. Every single thing you need to communicate happens over a live phone call. No time to think, no editing, no taking back what you just said.

Option 4: In person only.

No phone, no messages, no digital communication at all. If you need to tell someone something you have to physically be in the same room as them. If they are not there, it waits.

Well its random question time people.

Would you get rid of everthing you have. For a chance at somthimg you believe you always wanted, or would you give up on your dreams to keep everthing you have ever worked for.

Also why?

Or coworkers (let’s get the haha I wouldn’t out the way)

Let’s say you like all you coworkers but to different degrees, ranging from pleasant to talk to all the way to helped me through hard times and would consider them a deeply good friend who I happen to work with.

Let’s say there’s 15-20 of them and you won 100 million or whatever, you decided to give them all a something just to be nice or a thank you for making your 8 hours a day not awful.

You don’t want to give the same amount of money to that person you speak to every now and then about how busy today was vs the one who you speak of daily and was there for the days you were having a bad day and they were worried about you.

How do you handle the HR nightmare and comparison and gossip

(DISCLAIMER, THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL AND A THOUGHT I HAD.)

Given that the citizens of the USA are angry and annoyed at the government, lets say hypothetically that there is a mass movement going on that basically inspires the idea of leaving the USA. For sake and purposes lets say the movement is called "The American's Foreign Dream". Given that we are a country populated with about 342 Million, what if, and it doesn't happen all at once, the people here begin to abandon the idea of staying here all their lives and begin to do whatever to leave. It begins small, maybe one person leaves to show their serious about it. Then more and more leave. Of course you'll need to factor in the old and the stubborn who will not leave and all power to them but lets say this movement becomes extremely successful and influential. About a 1/3rd of the USA population leaves off into whatever country they feel supports them. How would that impact the USA and the country as a whole? How would other nations react to the mass exit of the USA's citizens? And lets say just for fun, that they rennounce their USA citizenship and adopt into another country's citizenship? What would be the consequences and how harmful would that really be for the country as a whole? How would the remaining citizens feel toward those who left and how many would need to leave the USA before it becomes irreparable.

Let's say there was a dog who was a fully competent driver who could pass both the written and driving tests. Air Nud style, theres nothing in the law that outright prohibts a dog from getting a license. In America, I know you usually need to prove citizenship or residency, but if my racist uncle is to be believed there are countless ways around this. Assuming a cooperative DMV who wouldnt just outright refuse service to a dog, how far could this dog go to attaining his license and how would he go about circumventing his lack of paperwork. Assume this dog can drive to any state he needs to to help in his quest.

I'll set values at the end of the question, but I'm really interested in peoples thoughts about short vs long term. Differences in age, current assets, life style i think is going to play a role.

If you invest all the money you'll earn approximately your countries average wage before tax each year.

If you rent out both duplexes you'll earn about the same but will need to paid maintenance, insurance, land costs/rates etc.

If you live is one and rent the other you'll be able to cover all costs for maintenance and fees etc with a little left over.

I live in Australia so this is in AUD.

The prize money is $1.8m. At 6% that would earn approximately $108,000pa (taxable)

The duplexes earn $1000per week each in rent or $104,000pa.

They are worth \~$4m if sold. Taxes and agents fees etc. apply.

Which do you choose?

This is to support a discussion I'm having with one of my adult kids and his girlfriend.

The deal is basically that you will be sent into the past era back during the dinosaur era ,naked with one superpower in the beginning of the deal which is immortality

You are goal is to live through out millions of years until modern age

You can do what ever you want in the past

And if you want you can change the course of history how ever you want

Once the deal is completed you will loose your immortality but you will look exactly like how you did when you took the deal

The dealer that sent you into the past will give you an option to either stay in this new world where you spent millions of years ago with the 10 trillion dollars or be sent back in time to your original reality with 10 trillion dollars and no one in your original reality will question your sudden wealth as people magically forget to ask about

And if in case you choose your original reality you cannot bring back any items from the world you lived in millions of yours

What choice will you take

1. stay in the universe where you lived a millions of years ago with the money

2. Return back to your original reality with the money

You have died and been sent to hell. Upon arriving you are told you must describe the hell to which you will be subjected for all eternity. The hell must truly torture you. If you describe a hell that is too mild, the hell overlords, who know everything about you, will contruct your eternal hell for you. For example, if you are allergic to cats and you say your eternal punishment should be to live with 1,000,000 kittens, they will give you a fate beyond your worst imagination instead. If you describe a legitimately tormenting helll (for you personally) they will send you to that eternal fate.

If you want to play some kind of loophole game that is not the point here.

would you rather have every single embarrassing secret exposed about you to everyone you have spoken to at least once in your life no matter how close they are to you. that includes your mom and your uber driver.

or be a complete stranger to everyone after a day. lets say if you meet 3 people on july 1st, they will completely forget your existence july 2nd. if you go back to meet them they will have no memory of you and see you as a completely new person
