I think we all desperately need something like this after the drama that has transpired today

reddit.comIce and fire, base is in danger
Playing ice and fire on this world since January, I thought I picked a very safe location hundreds of blocks from any dragons. But last night as I was working on a build an ice dragon started flying dangerously close to my village, I'd estimate 100-200 blocks. It doesn't look crazy huge but I only have unenchanted iron armor and gear, I have 5 diamonds I can make into something, no good bow yet. I think I'm kind of screwed. Any ideas? I don't want to move, I am nearly finished with a big house, and I have too much stuff there to move with no good new location, but if I'm just too underprepared and it's bound to attack I guess I can move if needed.
Currently an entrepreneur, I want to be a trad wife
I currently own and operate my business by myself, I'm responsible for the cleanliness of the household, half of the yard work, and my own shopping but often do the entirety of it. I am fucking dying and I don't think it was ever meant to be this way. I can't balance what a housewife would have ample time to do on a fulltime entrepreneurial schedule. I'm working 24/7 for my job, and then squeezing whatever chores I can manage in my downtime. The house falls apart, the yard work goes unchecked, we never eat meals together because our schedules are misaligned, the food we do have is frozen because I have no time to cook. At this point there is no room for a child, and that has been my ultimate dream. I just want to be a stay at home mother like my mom was. My fiancé works so much and makes decent money but I don't think we'd ever be able to survive solely off of his income especially with more mouths to feed. I love what I do for work and I'm very proud of what I've built, but it is not my dream, and I don't want to do it forever. It makes me really depressed realizing that the time for me to live out this dream has pretty much died before I was even born. I wish there was as much support for women who seek this path of life as there is for my current path.
Edit: I meant stay at home, not little house on the prairie although I do love ma ingles.
Reported to redditcareresources because I hurt the feelings of another redditor. I fucking hate this place.
I posted a comment that hurt the feelings of another redditor and they did the most sane thing they could think of, report me for self harm lmao. This may be what finally gets me to delete this app, I can't stand 90% of the interactions I have on here, people are so sensitive and unhinged. I've had plenty of arguments and never once thought to report them to reddits self harm prevention as retaliation for making me angry. How fucking weird genuinely.
CPJ how do you get the 1 mil background and pin? People kept saying cove but I didn't see anything there
reddit.comAwful appointment. I just need to vent.
I've been struggling with my mental health, and self esteem pretty hard. Ive been stretched paper thin at work running my own suite alone, gained a bunch of weight, and it has just been one thing after another, but today really hurt and dug up some emotions from my time in highschool.
People used to video and take pictures of me without my knowledge to make fun of me in school, and it was one of the most hurtful forms of bullying to me personally. It made me reel on my self image and the way people perceived me. I have come a long way over the years, and built my clientele up of the exact demographic I was so traumatized by in the first place: teenage boys.
So today, my teenage client comes in and brings a friend with him. I tried to make him feel equally as welcome and included in conversation. Things were going good, I was washing my client and he had his phone out and opened up a Snapchat the friend with him had sent, and it was of my backside. My suite has a bench behind my barber chair for extra guests to wait on, and he was sitting directly behind me while I had my back to him and was taking pictures of me. Not in a sexually harassing way, in a "look at this fat lard" sort of way. It absolutely crushed me and sent me straight back to highschool. There was no other implication this picture could have had other than to use my body as a butt of his joke, you couldn't even see my client I was working on in the picture it was just ME. When I saw it I said "what the hell, you little pervert" "what a weirdo taking pictures of your friends barbers butt" and just really tried to embarrass the shit out of him and make it clear you cannot do that, that is fucking mean and gross. They both laughed but were obviously extremely uncomfortable they got caught.
I am not punishing my client, he was being worked on while the picture was taken, and received it hence how I saw it. His friend is the one that took it. I'm pretty fucking upset, it's just so fucking mean and particularly hitting a nerve with me and my past experiences. I think it is safe to say that kid knows he is not to come to my suite again, but how the fuck do I even move on from this and not feel paranoid with every teenager sitting out of eyesight in my suite? I am genuinely really upset. I've come so far just to be belittled in the same way I was 10 years ago.
F'd up while going independent, need some advice
My transition going into being an independent barber and suite renter was very rushed and sudden, I didn't have a lot of time to get details fully planned out and just had to get it open to prevent losing clients. One the the biggest mistakes I made was having my personal number become my shop number. I have an incredibly easy to navigate and non invasive website that even a toddler could use, yet my clients have chosen to use me as a personal hotline 24/7, early in the morning, late at night, my days off, when I'm out of town. It has gotten to the point where I am starting to resent certain clients that refuse to use my website. I need to keep some sort of number open for new client inquiries, and necessary communication like them telling me they are running late or me, but I do not want existing clients calling or texting me anymore to ask "what do you have open this week" LOOK AT MY FUCKING SITE!! I'm having to work 24/7 because of this issue and it's fucking killing me. How do I stop this, is there any way to implement a policy that people will respect? I know this was a horrible decision and I don't need reiteration of that, I need advice on how to fix this and better my work to life balance. Please.
Why does ever public lobby want me to download mods to play?
Is this normal? I keep leaving because I'm afraid of malware, it seems like more than half the lobbies I join require mods to be downloaded without any tag saying so. I don't really want to play with mods.
Edit: Thankyou!!! I'll stop leaving when they ask me to download mods I was wondering where all of the other maps I've seen in online content came from. I was just very weary to download something that quickly.
What does this mean? Am I a centrist, conservative, liberal?
I feel very mislead in my first home purchase
This is minor in the grand scheme of things because we are closed, got a good deal, and the house we loved. We asked for 2 windows that had the gas blown out to be fixed after the inspection came back, the seller agreed and said they were under warranty so the windows would be shipped out after closing because it takes a while. We close, the windows are here, and we reach out to our realtor asking who we need to contact about installation. He informs us for the first time that the install is on us, the seller only agreed to do what the warranty covers which is the windows being delivered not the install, this was never relayed back to us. We were clear in our request to fix the windows, not give us the windows and let us DIY it. When I pressed my realtor on where exactly in our contract it states that it is our responsibility to get the install done, he ignored my question twice, and told me that it was never in the contract, that the seller agreed to replace the windows outside of the due diligence requests. I am very aggravated, this is not the only issue I've had with this realtor in our buying process but this is certainly the cherry on top to a shitty experience. I have never in my life understood the term FIX to mean half ass it and leave half the work for the other party. I don't understand why this wasn't in our contract, or why our realtor didn't advocate that we expect a full fix not what the warranty covers, and I especially don't understand why we weren't informed until it's all said and done.
Unpopular opinion: if you don't have a barbering license you should not use a straight razor
I'm a cosmetologist that specializes in men's cuts but I will NOT touch a straight razor. I was never trained with one in school, and was under the impression that it was not allowed unless you have a barbering license. Well... the last shop I worked at was about half cosmetologists half barbers, and everyone used straight razors, the owner pressured me to use them despite me being clear that I have NO experience with them and I do not know how to properly shave. I think that state board really needs to crack down on this hard. There is so much that goes into that service and it is so risky performing it with 0 knowledge. When I raised my concerns to my last boss and coworkers they all wrote me off and said that TECHNICALLY they can use them because cosmetologists can use any instrument that "cuts" hair, a razor doesn't cut though... it shaves... am I alone in this?? It seems absolutely insane people are doing this risky ass service while having no proper training from school.

Just moved into a new house with an HOA a month ago, got setup with the portal for payments and we're having some issues with it. Walked down to the clubhouse because there is an office in there and the woman working had helped me get setup with other things and told me to come to her with questions. I didn't realize the clubhouse needed a key fob, and when I got there another older gentleman was waiting to be buzzed in. He gets buzzed in and I say "can I slip in behind you?" He looks confused and blocks the door, so I say "I just moved here in April and have a question for the office about the portal" still doesn't let me in or look any less suspicious of me, tells me the office is closed and asks what the issue was, I explained it to him while still standing outside showed him our portal, he tells me yeah thats not right and tells me to contact the HOA directly and goes inside. OKAY THANKS. I don't know if he even works for the HOA but Jesus welcome to the neighborhood too! Now I'm just sad, I was anxious to move into such a nice neighborhood struggling with imposter syndrome, but man I'm just embarrassed.
Client rant
I've got a family I cut that has burnt me pretty bad this year. They are late to almost every appointment, will not use my website and keep texting last minute for availability when I've redirected them to my site and told them I can't accommodate last minute bookings I am too busy. On Thursday around 1 they texted asking for about 2 hours worth of appointments for a special occasion on Monday (today) I told them I only have one spot left for Friday, they ignored that and asked for Thursday, I reiterated that Friday is my only spot left. They said they'd get back to me, and didn't until Friday at 11 when the spot was long gone. I informed them I was completely full, and do not work on Monday so I cannot help them unless there are cancellations. I offered to refer them to another stylist, and watch my schedule for any openings, but they just wanted to wait for cancellations. None happened. It's now my first day off and at 8:30am they texted asking to be put on today. I honestly am to the point where I just want to be done with this. They have really texted my nerves and I don't know what else to say to them. I am very direct in my messages and it's like they ignore what they don't want to see.
A few months ago they did this exact same thing where they waited last minute, texted to book, and I accommodated. I stayed beyond closing for them, they were 20+ minutes late and I kept waiting, just for them to tell me they weren't coming after waiting past close for them. It infuriated me. I have no cancellation or no show fee because 99% of my clients don't pull shit like this.
Do I even respond? Do I reiterate what I've said multiple times the last few days, do I send a referral? The only part of my that still has guilt is knowing they've supported me for a few years, followed me from shop to shop, are genuinely nice people when they show up, but they have burnt through my good graces on multiple occasions leading up to this.
