I will be in Hanoï for 4/5 days end of June.

First time in the country, I start checking about food, etc.

Do you have recommendations for sightseeing? Including possible day trip from Hanoï.

Is a day trip to Halong bay is enought from Hanoï or better spend a night there?

I am not familiar with city (checking map right now), which district can be nice and convenient for a family travelling?

I am checking to drive for few days in Xinjiang.

I have EU driving licence.

From I understood, within the 30days no visa tourist trip, it is possible to drive within those conditions:

Original license

Translated licence: should it be proofed or not is not clear to me.

ID picture.

Seems it is possible to apply for a temporary licence at main airport like Beijing or Shanghai. Taking 30 mins.

Does anybody done that recently?

If yes, was it easily accepted by rental company?

I plan to rent for few days, I won’t be alone and I have a good idea how is driving in China.

The idea is to gain freedom in more rural area, not any big city.
