One side of my rear hatch now sits like 1/8" further out than directly aligned? Barely noticeable. No real damage other than some scuffs on the bumper. Not enough to get fixed, and CERTAINLY not getting my insurance involved. Just . . . annoying.
Both at the site as well as the app I either time out or get a cloudflare notification. Anyone else having similar issues?
Don't think it is moisture, the rolls have been in my Sovol SH03 and both sides (2 rolls per side in the Sovol) seen to have it. I assume there is some mechanical "wear in" at 60-ish hours that may be affecting this? Current retract for PLA is the standard 0.8mm. What is everyone else using?
May still make an offer. I assume the housing, fan and filament hub is still good so there is some value there even if the strain gauge and board is shot.
Printing the neat printhead service jig assembly. First 2 parts printed fine, then the third failed halfway through. The bolt holder. I thought it was my first clog, was NOT excited. Even pulled out the needle that came with the kit. Which I immediately jabbed my thumb with and bled a bit. Soon learned only ONE color was not printing. Loaded/unloaded a few times, no joy. Went to pull it all the way back into my SH03 dry box . . . and noticed the ptfe tube was 4" into it. The darn roll tangled and it was pulled tight! Freed it up, cut off a foot or so of filament (nice flat spot ground into it, I should have noticed that) and refed the head. Worked fine. Lesson 1 for me, check if all colors are affected. Lesson 2, check the end of the filament for clues. Lesson 3, dry boxes are not infallible aids. Lesson 4, those needles are DAMNED SHARP! Lesson 4A, keep band-aids closer.
Question, I assume some of that missing filament is in the extruder drive shaft. How often do you all clean it and (now that I have a nice jig) is it that difficult? The Anycubic wiki is oddly quiet about this oiece?
About 8 or 9 prints in. Never got this far from the center on any. But with this one this is happening. Gantry not perfectly square?
Edit: May investigate further if this happens again but after it was done I removed the plate ant there was just a little string of PLA, possibly from the wiper, under there. Maybe the cause, maybe not. But the print (Kobra X tool box to hold the removed gantry braces and tools) works and looks fine.
Just started using my new Kobra X. Already half way through the first spool of grey PLA I bought from the anycubic store (along with red/black/white/blue). Thought I would jump on their Amazon store to get another spool or two. Doing grey as I expect most of my first dozen prints to be utilitarian. Cases for the Kobra tools, plate holders, snips holder, etc. Been loads of trouble-free prints so far. But what I see is a lot of TEXTURED grey with the regular being a little more in price. Reading past posts people seem hit or miss with using the textured grey for issues. Anyone currently using it and can attest to the issues or lack of issues? Just curious as I am willing to spend the extra few bucks just so all my grey matches. Or maybe I should switch to white and black . . . .
Or say "one spool of PLA is enough, time to try out PLA+"?
And it is printing my first ever 3D print. A classic benchy naturally. In grey, because I expect a lot of my functional prints in the near future (poop catcher, tool holders, etc) will be grey. Already have a 4 spool dryer on the way from Amazon. What "essential" prints do you recommend early on?
For 1000mg vials, assuming a 3x a week dose of 100mg/dose that's 3 weeks. But I have been hearing that due to how fast it degrades it really should not be used that long. Anyone have access to a study showing the degration curve? I assume it varies based on PH. Just reconned my first vial (ph adjusted it to 5.5-ish) 2 weeks ago and I must say I can already feel the difference. or rather, NOT feel nearly as much burn/
IGNORING search terms, restricting based on what it ASSUMES you need based on prior searches and orders, etc. Search for 15ml vials and it returns mostly 2ml and 50ml because that is what it EXPECTS me to need. Search for a storage box for them and it restricts to cryonic because I recently purchased a lab freezer. I even had it set a permanent note in my preferences NOT to use past purchases like that and it gladly admits later it ignored that restriction. Anyone else having issues? I suspect some of this is Amazon pushing the paid-for search results ("suggested results")? Anyone find a way around that? Opened a unsigned-in browser and the search results are STILL ignoring search terms to push the crap.
I miss the old search engine. Sure the sellers abused it with keyword spamming but at least I had a chance to find what I am looking for.
Have a kit that per the group test should have a ph of about 3.6. Considering buffering options. I have sodium chloride BAC, so that should help some with the sting. But should I try raising the PH with sodium bicarb solution or order some PBS? I saw reports that a mix of BAC and PBS has been effective. How long do you all hang onto those 50ml bottles of sodium bicarb? Just recon my first KLOW last week and frankly, that hurts enough without me adding NAD sting to my routine as well.
Anyone wall mount theirs outside a printer enclosure? I believe I read somewhere there were accessory prints or options for that? Just thinking getting to it inside the fabric enclosure I ordered is going to be a PIA. The good news is I will probably be setting mine up tonight as the filament SHOULD be delivered today. Pretty sure I could have walked there to get it faster.
My apologies if this has been asked 100 times. What spare parts and/or accessories would it be wise to get immediately? I already plan on 2kg of PLA from Anycubic so I can "hit the ground running". I am thinking a pair or two of hardened steel 0.4 and 0.25 nozzles and a spare PEI build plate or two from Amazon (or Ali). What have you all found to be "good to have on hand" items? Entire heat block? Extra scrapers? It's been a while since I considered getting a 3D printer (it was the Monoprice Mini era) so I am a little out of touch with current printer needs. Thanks.
