Would you usually have trouble getting meds for flight anxiety from your GP in Australia?

I’m likely gonna have to go overseas sometime in the near future and I get pretty bad anxiety when it comes to flying.

Ideally I’d want to get some anti anxiety meds.

Will be my GP usually be able to prescribe me some for this reason? Or would it warrant a visit to a psychiatrist?

Also is there a standard one medication in Australia given for this? Or are there various different ones?

Cheers

Can I unregister from gst after I submit a bas statement?

So I registered for gst as I had planned to drive for Uber/Taxi.

I however chose to do food delivery instead (same abn), but gst registration is not required for food delivery.

I did one food delivery (earnt about $10) to test the waters and now have to lodge a bas statement this period.

Is it possible to unregister from gst after I lodge this periods BAS (for $10 earnt)?

And how would I go about reporting the $10 earnt from food delivery on my bas?

Thanks

Is parking free at Calamunda Trail Hub?

From what I’ve read I understand this is the start of Bibbulman Track.

Also, as I was wanting to just go from a quick hour or two hike/maybe bike ride, would this place be appropriate? Bikes allowed?

What are some new skills you’ve picked up AFTER starting on Vyvanse?

Have you gotten quite good at anything since starting up on meds?

Or perhaps started study, and finished?

Edit: by skills I mostly mean things like learning a new instrument to a higher degree of proficiency, learning a new language, learning to draw, learning to paint, learning bike repair etc

More technical skills as opposed to soft/people skills, but by all means I don’t mind if you still post soft skills either.

Migraines and snoring - has anyone found that fixing their snoring has solved their migraine problem?

I’ve started to get quite frequent migraines and it’s incredibly difficult to pinpoint the cause.

I’ve had a brain scan that’s been clear.

I’m getting investigated for haemochromatosis as I’ve had high iron and genes associated with it, however I’ve donated blood on three occasions and they haven’t improved too much after.

I have impacted wisdom teeth - they don’t hurt or get infected, but I guess it’s another potential cause.

I recently discovered that I snore and at times I wake up with a dry and sore throat. And I’m starting to see a bit of a pattern on days where my throat is dry/sore after waking up and headaches/brain fog.

I’m considering buying a CPAP machine to see if it helps.

Has anyone who has managed to solve their snoring - seen huge improvements when it comes to not getting migraines?

For people who had migraines and snored and fixed their snoring - did your migraines go away?

I’ve be getting quite frequent migraines, sometimes lasting two days and I can’t pinpoint the cause.

My doctor is investigating a high iron/haemochromatosis possibility - but I’ve since donated blood three times and it hasn’t helped much.

I’ve recently discovered that I snore and have been at times waking up with a dry sore throat.

I’m considering buying a CPAP machine to see if there’s any benefit to reducing my migraines.

Has anyone noticed a link between the two and reduced the frequency of migraines after they addressed their snoring?

Do you think that people would be furious if they found out leaders had knowledge of Extraterrestrial or NHI and kept it under wraps for 50+ years?

Is that what the biggest barrier to disclosure is?

A lie or hidden truth that has essentially snowballed over time.

Received lease renewal to docusign - did we have to sign it on the day it was emailed?

Hi, we received a lease renewal a couple of days ago - just haven’t had time to go through and sign it and today we noticed the document is dated on the day it was emailed.

Did we have to sign it on the day it was sent?

Do we change the date?

Or do we just disregard the date, go ahead and sign/initial it?

Cheers

Anyone start with 30mg and go down to 20mg?

So I recently started on Vyvanse 30mg, first time ever on any type of adhd med.

Took it at about 8.30am. During the day I felt great. The calmest I have been in a long time and no negative thoughts.

Night was terrible but. It felt like I was awake or just lightly sleeping for the whole night and when I went to get up in the morning, it felt like I was already wide awake in an instant.

I didn’t take it the next day and felt really groggy - but still not tired. I don’t think I yawned once.

It’s been about 4 days since and I’m scared to have a repeat of a night like that, but will try taking it again, a bit earlier, tomorrow.

I’m just wondering if anyone has had similar effects to this on Vyvanse and was then dropped to a lower dose? And if so, how did it go?

Or perhaps I’m maybe better suited for a different, quicker acting/shorter lasting adhd med?

Those who monitor their sleep with gadgets - what kind of results do you get after a day on meds?

If you’ve had a shit nights sleep after a day on meds - do they pick it up?

And is there a noticeable difference on any nights you’re off meds?

Do you ever get perfect sleep results after meds? And if so what meds/dosage are you on?

So usually when I take a shower in the morning I stand there washing myself and my head becomes filled with negativity and pessimism. It almost always happens in the shower, like clockwork, as it’s the one place where I’m probably present at most with my thoughts, and all alone.

I’d be just washing myself and thinking about petty bullshit from the past. Bringing up negative interactions with friends from a decade ago. Thinking about past failures etc and getting wound up by it and then starting the day anxious and frustrated.

Today nothing.

I could still obviously remember the past negative experiences - but it was as if those thoughts were not dominating my head space anymore and when I kinda pushed myself into bringing up past negative situations, I felt nothing! Water off a ducks back!

The best way I can describe it, is similar to when when I was a kid and got into a fight with a friend - I’d be angry for a short while maybe, but the next day all would be forgiven and it would be water under the bridge, that quickly.

I even had a physical fight with a friend once in primary school, and we were friends again by the end of the week!

But as an adult - I dwell on the pettiest of shit for years.

But not today.

I sure hope this lasts.

I don’t really feel euphoria etc but if these thought patterns last, I’ll take that as a huge win!

Even just seeing this change/difference has been eye opening and a win.

I’ve read that some people who get bad anxiety from flying take Valium and that their GP will prescribe them a small amount.

Is this going to be the same for people on stimulants?

Or would my GP be more hesitant and refer me to a psychiatrist?

So I’m at a bit of a crossroad.

First of all a bit of a preface - I grew up in Australia, migrant family and am over 30.

The housing situation here is getting depressing and I have secure housing overseas. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever get into a position to buy here in Australia again - I was getting close before Covid, saved my deposit etc but then had some family difficulties and after that house prices exploded.

I don’t have a solid career here (warehouse and logistics) and want to retrain - it would be far easier for me to retrain in a new career in Australia as I did all my schooling in Oz.

Would you choose having a secure roof over your head, but face more difficultly when it comes to establishing a new career?

Or choose financial/housing difficulties but more ease when it comes to improving your career?

What does it feel like?

Are you in control of it?

I’ve read people say it’s done unconsciously?

Also, is it accompanied by tooth grinding?

Nostalgic for the type of crunchy bread rolls you could buy from the suburban deli back in the 90s.

They were similar to some Bahn Mi rolls, but they were wider than most Bahn Mi rolls I’ve had.

Does anyone have data or know where you could find data that shows how many Perth house sales in the late 90s/early 2000s would have been to east coast investors?

Wanting to do some laps in the ocean over winter (Perth metro netted beaches)

Is a wet suit going to be a must?

Or is it doable with little to no risk of any ill effects (like hypothermia)?
