Edit: THE EXPERIMENTOES ARN’T VEGAN! The gummies are coated in beeswax, which is listed right at the end seperately from the mentoes ingredients (which are vegan), in brackets as a glazing agent. Despite the mentoes themselves using carnauba wax.
I know the obvious products, dried pasta, noodles, tinned beans + veg, spaghetti. But what would you say are the best products to prep for potential food insecurity?
For example, those that might help break up a diet otherwise lacking in variety. Bonus points if the food can be stored for a long time without freezing or refrigeration, or if its especially affordable, nutritious or not obvious. Also products such as first aid or cleaning are worth a shout.
I'm in a position where my ability to afford things comes and goes currently.
Is there any way to purchase or make a transparent disc drive on the PS3 Super Slim? So you can slide down the transparent cover and watch the disc spin. I've never seen this done with a Blu Ray Drive before, so i'm not sure if its possible.
I think my absolute dream console would be something like the PS3 Super Slim made out of wood + glass (or transparent acrylic and veneer) with an automatically sliding disc drive cover.
Follow up to the chocolate cake post. Packaging has also been changed on the lemon cake, and I can confirm its exactly the same as the previous Plant Pioneers one (best supermarket cake you can get, BTW).
Looks like they’re removing the Plant Pioneers branding from a few products. Looks exactly like the old one either way. Imo might be harder to identify though.
What is your favourite chew (or what I think Americans call taffy)? Can be any soft chewable sweet.
My personal favourite is fruitella. Least favourite is Starburst, textures all wrong and they arn’t very chewy.
Before, Reddit would always default to a feed that shows communities you follow with some suggestions sprinkled in. I had the suggestions blocked so that it wouldn’t recommend me stuff I didn’t want to see.
The new update today (for me) has changed it so it defaults to a suggested feed and you cannot turn it off.
Is the Communicator designed entirely in house? If not, how much of it is being handled externally and by who? What will this mean for the software experience / future of the device?
About a year and a half ago I upgraded from my iPhone SE 2020 to the iPhone 13 Mini.
I think in almost every way, it was a pretty massive upgrade. Way better cameras, screen, storage and especially durability. I think in terms of the industrial design, this is the best (maybe alongside 5S + 6S and 17 / 17 Pro) iPhone ever made. A while back I threw it out of a bedroom window onto pavement and it was fine besides a small scratch, I have dropped it plenty of times since then. The battery was also very decent and lasted me all day at around 85% capacity.
Today, my views on this phone are not so good. When iOS 26 released, I was ecstatic and thought it was a very exciting update that would fix the issues of iOS 18. In just over a year, Apples TERRIBLE handling of updates for this phone have mostly ruined it for me. I find iOS 26.5 even now to be a clunky, frustrating mess. Using it feels stressful, I dislike how distracting the Liquid Glass is which is very unoptimized for this phone. The keyboard is terrible, the battery barely lasts (and is down to 74% capacity) and the phone gets HOT constantly.
Pros: Reasonable size Excellent screen Amazing durability - feels brand new after 5 years of use, something I haven’t experienced with any other phone (its pre owned and I haven’t been using a case or screen protector).
Cons: Not amazing battery capacity Awful software experience. Really, the worst i’ve ever had. Lightning port. Had sensitivity to the screen at first.
It is very unfortunate that one of the best phones of all time is being ruined so soon. Really, the design of this phone is a marvel. I have pre-ordered a Clicks Communicator, and sadly this may be my last tango with the iPhone for quite a long time, especially with the soon to be added AI plus the requirements for ID in UK.
I’ve seen these around on the internet for a while, and I have seen them on a few models of G-Shocks from years ago. A while back I tried using an orange one on an AE-1200 in place of the regular polarizer but it didn’t work.
I think it looks very cool otherwise.
Trying to remember a brand of soda in the UK that had an image of a cartoon monkey face on the front. It was probably a value brand, and I think it was marketed towards children. Came in a transparent, plastic bottle, with a cartoonish font above or below the monkeys head. It might have been made by Villa, who also made a series of non-carbonated drinks with a plastic wrapping that made it look like there was an animal stuck inside the bottle. Google results come up with nothing.
