What is up with this posting argument?

I keep seeing so many people saying he's inconsistent, which he is, but at least he uploads... unlike one fellow who hasn't for 5 months 😭

I just don't know why some people are on him and also aren't on him at the same time. You don't have to breathe down his neck, but you also shouldn't be mindlessly accepting everything he does especially when people point out valid criticism.

Now he does need the work on saying no, or just having real promises. Though I feel like V3 is for real this time and he might drop a video soon in August, and maybe he has some stuff for us. Yes it is the 13th, but we still have days of August left.

And Dante. You still are talking about V3, calm down, and stop breathing hard. Because you do have points, but your tone is wild. Also seems like in the comments people are tired of hearing you speak all the time 😭

I also just want to know more about the situation of inconsistently uploading, because I am just getting back into watching Berleezy. Because what I see is that he's inconsistently consistent, I don't know how to put it but at least he uploads like I said earlier, but it'd be 2 days then 7 days and 4 days between uploads and all that. Also like I said earlier at least he's not a certain person that has been gone for 5 months.

This movie needed more, and some people are doing too much.

I like the movie, but it needed more. The best way to put it is that I feel like the problem of the movie is that it is a movie. Obviously, some of the problems within this could have been fixed, feel like it would have taken away as well. Putting a lot of time to make sure the Gaang feels like the Gaang would probably require a lot of time, because I feel like a lot of people would complain even if they do feel like it saying that it's unnatural or it feels forced even if it's accurate.

They would probably need to make sure that what they do, what they say, and what their role in the film is, will match up. I like the voice actors, I like how some characters were represented, but it didn't feel completely good, because some characters in the original felt like a box filled with many things that make up their character. In the movie you get that box, and it has some things, but not all of it.

The main character I'm talking about is Katara, because she does have some of the energy, but she feels reduced a bit. I wanted to see more of her doing stuff and not being always there when Aang's there. It feels like her actions are all revolved around him. There's a few issues from other characters just not having all of what they had in the original show, but that is the main problem. The other issues is like the plot feels rushed, plot feels a bit generic even though it's not bad.

I have my criticisms, but the movie is still a 7 out of 10. It's solid and not bad.

This next part might be related to the movie, but it's mainly in general about Avatar.

But I don't know where people are getting this narrative that the creators are misogynist. I am confused, and I've actually been seeing this lately from people even pointing out ATLA and LoK. I see what they mean by some are just reduced to being the girlfriend of this character, and especially when you see in the movie, but I don't think that's misogynistic. Toph got that energy in the movie.

Also there are people saying Avatar is slowly getting rid of all the Asian culture. I do peep the new avatarian language, I don't like it, but to say that avatars now poof gone no more Asian representation... Take one good look at Seven Havens and take one good listen and you will know that what you're saying is a lie.

I don't know why people are saying this, and yes I guess it's the internet because people like to hate stuff, but I really think in 2026 people especially in this community, not all y'all, some of y'all are cool, but this community has it's issues.

That's really all I had to say, and I can't wait for Seven Havens, even if it might be frustrating for how people are probably going to react.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but to add that I feel like SH should be delayed. I want to see if they can maybe put some more work into it, but again I'm pretty sure the teaser is just a teaser, and not everything's final.

The discourse for Seven Havens usually full of over praising or over hating.

I'm kind of getting tired of this discourse around Avatar Seven Havens (ASH), the problem is that there are people spreading misconceptions and lies, then people pick that up and regurgitate it. It's becoming just stupid.

No they're not erasing Asian culture. Already went over this. I can't believe I had a conversation with someone that said it's too Indian focused, and I had to ask him where India is located.

Again, you are allowed to dislike the art style, but again for some reason it seems like you get attacked for disliking or liking the art style. I don't know why. If you say that it needs more shadows and shading because that is legitimately what is needed or that's how you prefer it, people come at you saying it's a perfect amount and that we don't need anymore. Like, it's their preference if they want more shadows and shading like The Legend of Korra, you shouldn't just start replying with it's perfect amount, because when you do compare Seven Havens to The Legend of Korra it doesn't have the same level of that aspect. Neither is the detail.

But the main problem is that some people are overreacting, and that some people can't get to say their opinions without getting told what they should and shouldn't prefer or have thoughts on. It's like you're hated for having criticism or you're hated for being optimistic about it.

This is not even including the next layer of problems with people spreading misconceptions and lies and all that. Putting it in short I just feel like another thing that is bad for this franchise is the fan base itself.

Just have criticism or just like what you like but make sure it's valid at least. We don't have to go around doing all this extra stuff.

Legend of Korra and Seven Havens' art styles.

I really like The Legend of Korra's art style, mainly when it comes to the characters, and how they look. If he was like a natural progression from what it was in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

For Seven Havens, I know there's just a teaser trailer so I don't know if there's anything they can clean up, polish, or fix so people can't keep complaining about how flat it looks. So is there a chance that during the 76 days they have until it releases, that they can fix up minor issues or some smaller issues that can help the style. Some people say it's from a low budget, but I think it's also because I don't think it's completely finished. It's possible for post-production.

So when it comes down to this, is it possible that Seven Havens can at least get closer in detail or look less flat like Legend of Korra (obviously not one to one or even close necessarily.)

Looking back on Seven Havens' premise/synopsis

Seven Havens grasps my interest I would say. I'm looking forward to the series. Everything is interesting and I feel like it's all great, until they mention that sister.

Now, some of my worries are on the leak saying it's going to be a twin Avatar. I just don't like that, and even if it is not a twin Avatar, but just a normal long lost twin, I still don't feel like it's the best thing they could have had. Though, looking back on it I am excited. I also hope after this project we can get more into the past and maybe take a break from going forward.

Speaking of leaks, I don't think y'all should immediately trust everything out there, but I understand if it's from a reliable source. I still wouldn't like following leaks.

I don't want to immediately form an opinion with just a synopsis, but my interest is high for this show. The main problem probably won't be much on Avatar Studios, but mostly Paramount... and marketing.

I would also provide a rant about the fandom and how they might act with the show... I totally haven't experienced that before.

Aside from all that, I am currently waiting for Seven Havens. What do you fans think, and has your mind changed ever since it first was revealed.

Also extra question, actually not a question, but a statement y'all better vote for Amon on the game bro I swear. Please 🙏

I started NATLA.. I expected not much, and received more.

I went into the show wanting to hate it and feeling like I am going to hate it. Before I even started the show, my mindset was wanting to skim and speed through it to look at every single thing that can be bad.

The episode was actually pretty solid.

Now personally I like that prologue at the beginning, and I would prefer it to be more of a mystery and sprinkled through, but I have no problems with the prologue besides that. I think they set that up pretty nice. Alongside that, I honestly had no problems with the episode besides a little bit of bumps in my focus of confusion when compared to the original. (Edit: I kind of worded this wrong, I do say the episode is solid, but it's not just bumps but a few issues. Still nice.)

Now it has been a while, but I'm sure Aang can't be flying like that without some glider, and he got the whistle already for Appa. Those two are probably going to be the only little parts, because yeah they created some type of bumps for my focus, but other than that not really that bad.

During the episode, Aang felt already a bit matured and I feel like some of that progress is already there without much building to it, though, I do like how he is and I like the acting. He's probably going to be the best part of the show alongside Zuko and Iroh.

Those three characters deviate and shift a bit and how they are the show, and while some of those changes I don't think are always the best, I think they are pretty strong and I'm liking them.

The dialogue doesn't feel natural at times, and it feels like exposition... too much. That's one problem that kept coming up, I'll be immersed and then it feels broken. That's just for me, and it feels like I'm texting someone and suddenly they send a wall of text.

Also Sokka, I can tell it's him, but with him being a bit toned down at least compared to the original show, and even viewing this adaptation in a vacuum, he's a bit flat to me. I just don't see much from him, but what I can tell is that with this tone they're going for, I actually see him less sexist and more onto the job of their tribe. Being more of a leader already, which is almost the same for Aang's case. It's not giving me what I would feel would come from him and I do find him flat, but he does fit the tone of the show. I also like the tone, but at times I don't feel like it's for the better.

Katara, and honestly I feel like this is the only character that I have this problem with... I just don't know what to think about her I just feel like she hasn't had much in the length of runtime about two episodes compared to the original show, and all I can say is that I feel like some of her conflict with Sokka isn't (quick edit: it may not be there, but there is some disagreement which I do like.) there like I expected. I just don't have much to say about her, but what I can say is that the actor is great, and the potential is there and I hope the later episodes tap into it.

I also already see the efficiency they have done and how much bloat they might cut off, but I feel like that's sometimes for the worst. I think that is what the characters needed to be grounded for my personal interest, and when it comes into having these characters being engaging, if they aren't, the conflict or dynamics that they plan to have for them probably might fall short for me.

These are my main issues, and apart from them this episode is actually way better than I expected. I appreciate the show, and I don't see the need for hate. I don't think it's better than the original show, but the direction it's taken is actually something I would like. I would just want more from episode 2 because I feel if they keep it at this energy from episode 1. It would decrease in quality for me.

Final thing I feel like I would say, episode 1 did its job at wanting me to continue. 👏 👏.

I was going to wait until I watched more episodes to give this review or thought, but I actually was surprised that I wanted to make one.

Unpopular Opinion: I actually would've liked Bryke's direction with NATLA

With the Netflix show out, I personally keep seeing stuff that pushes my interest away. I feel like it is trying to be a faithful adaptation but condensing some things into smaller episode counts, but it's way closer to a 1:1 retelling of the story than what Bryke had.

A lot of people didn't like what they had planned for the Netflix Series, and started saying they really didn't provide for Avatar. Like it is proof that it is lightning in a bottle (the og show), and even trying to bring up LoK to say it was mixed and bad, even though I'm pretty sure that show was actually more on the side of great. Especially later on.

Though, my main point is that I would have actually liked the Netflix series to be a whole different retelling. I like the idea of seeing Iroh be more evil, and I also heard Ozai would die in Season 1. If they were to execute this right I would like a different story, same characters. Maybe instead of it being just in that one year, we could have differences. Zuko's Arc could be different and serve something else too.

But I feel like if I were to say this, I would be downvoted. A lot of people like this image of their original show and I feel like they wouldn't like to see anything different. Netflix show wouldn't be canon, and the goal wasn't to be the same. But the direction workout Bryke I feel like didn't make it as interesting or good that I wanted it to be which is why I don't want to watch it necessarily, but I probably will give it a chance.

My thoughts on the Netflix Show (before watching)

I first would like to say I'm mainly from the other sub. The one y'all call toxic and I'm going to have to agree there, because I can't say anything otherwise 😭

Honestly I don't think the Netflix show can be able to be better than the original, and I probably don't think it's going a 7/10 in my books, but a 5-6. That's just how I predict I'm going to rate it but I'm going to let the show play and I'll see how it is after.

I did already see some clips because you know how the internet is, and from what I've seen so far.. I personally think it's repulsive to me already. No these are really only showing the back clips so I don't get a taste of what really is there in entirety.

My thoughts on this are currently mixed, I'm not sure if it's something that I will enjoy watching. But I always like watching it and seeing it for myself mainly because I have experience of hearing the usual "it's trash," and then it turns out not to be trash... cough cough LiS2 (away from this franchise) and LoK haters.

In a little extra to add here about what Aaron said about the show, I personally feel like I'm going to disagree, but we shouldn't start criticizing people for thinking differently or agreeing with them. Because that's what I see on the other sub. I will say there could be problems with this and the other, but I mainly have more experience on the other sub so I have to agree when it comes into how they are... Most of the time it's an echo chamber for negativity. It's intolerable sometimes.

Anyway I will check out the show when I get the chance but right now I'm in anime. Also I still have the LoK to rewatch.

Is there anything I should know before I watch the Netflix Show, anything that is misconceptions about the show, or lies like the average fan does to LoK?

[NO SPOILERS] Will the show be able to do it.

Been a while since I was tapped into LiS. I've been over in the Avatar fan base...rough, but off topic.

Anyway though, the more I look at live action adaptations in general, the more I feel like this show is going to fail. I know I said off topic earlier, but if you want to know an example of how to ruin something that was perfect or at least good, look at the Netflix Avatar Series...

The casting I have no problem with, which was a big topic earlier, I don't know if it still is now, but aside from the show I feel like the main issue would just be the overall crowd around the show and at least some people in this fan base that complain over the littlest things, because I know there's people that exist in here. Now, disliking the casting is one thing, but some of the backlash is shown some of the people within here.

I do like this franchise, but I do feel like it's getting old with rehashing Max and Chloe multiple times or stuff related to the first game. It gets annoying, and I tried to enjoy the games that come out, but the last time I had enjoyment was LiS2... arguably TC. It had its issues, but at least it was some type of fun I can gain from it. Not the best though.

Back onto the show, I feel like they have one thing down, but the execution is all. There are some people that are already writing the show off due to the multiple times we had this but as a game 😭. I'm not completely writing it off, but again it's something that I'm not interested in. Though, if I see some good reviews I might tap in. I mean we seen them somehow ruin it with the remastered edition, and even in the general area of just adaptations, we can see how many of those live action shows just ruin the original.

Another thing that makes me a little worried is the fact that they're trying to put a choice game into a linear format, at least my assumption because that's how it usually goes. They could try some method, and if executed nice it could be very great.

What do you think about the TV show, are you going to watch or are you avoiding it? etc? More specifically, do you think they can pull off with making this choice-based game that is beloved within the fandom, and replicate that as a TV show without ruining anythig.

I also personally want this franchise to get back onto that anthology routes as soon as they're done with whatever. It has been too long since something refreshing or something great has been introduced.

I finished all seasons... and dam.

When I started playing this game, I had no idea what this franchise was. Though, I only ever picked it up because another game franchise had really gotten into the narrative and story type of games (especially choice.) That was Life is Strange, and especially when it comes to the second game (idk why it's so overlooked) it got me motivated to find another game like that.

I really got invested once I started Season 1 of TWD, and I even got into it that I even watched a playthrough alongside my game to see comparisons. The characters, writing, and a new type of game to see for me really made it hit on all levels. There are way more aspects, but I don't want people to come to a whole yap post getting into every single detail and strength/flaws (this post is already long in itself). I might save it for later posts.

First thing I must say is that I see so many things between franchises when it regards a sequel or continuation that's different. Life is Strange 2 was overhated, underated, overlooked, and review-bombed. Even in TV shows for Avatar, The Legend of Korra is overhated to this day.

And I see this for Season 3 of this game, but it's way more reasonable. For some it ruined Season 2's endings and also was advertised the wrong way. But as someone that wasn't there during the upbringing, I personally feel like this Season is overlooked and also overhated. That's if you can get past the things it did to Season 2's ending. Other than that though, I can appreciate it and honestly I think it's in the top three.

My personal rating for these seasons would go

Season 1 (Interchangeable)

Season 4 (Interchangeable)

Season 3

Season 2

And I know there's a part of the fandom as I experienced it throughout my journey playing this game, that Season 2 is overhated. In my experience I don't see that at all, unless it got better over the years.

I loved this series and I hope we can get another game that isn't a continuation but just a new story in the universe same as the four seasons.

Thank you for reading.

My take on Horizons so far.

I've watched some Horizons. A few episodes. I halted my watch of DP and other series outside of Pokèmon. Mainly because of the criticism I see (sometimes hate, and even criticism that is judged off wrong metrics.)

Speaking of critical analysis, some of the reviews for Horizons I see here or on other platforms known for... being pretty negative to most things try to use their subjective feelings + biased view and try to frame it as an objective review which is wrong in every way.

Anyways, I don't think it is bad, and it got me engaged to keep watching. As someone biased with Ash, I had to sit down and actually look at it with clearer eyes. I must say this show improved on a lot of flaws the older anime had or just changed the format of how it worked prior. In many ways it is a great change.

I see more consistency, better pacing, less filler, and more. It even got me wondering if I want to continue my rewatch of Diamond and Pearl. It has issues, but I can put up with it better than Ash's series. No shade to Ash!

But currently I would place it in my top 3.

I just want to see better criticism especially from this subreddit. Some of the reviews I see are either wrong criteria and metrics brought to HZ, biased reviews that are framed as objective, or just pure hating on the show. It is disappointing to see, especially if you call them out and they downvote you alongside other people too.

Is Horizons a good series and addition?

I really want to ask this, because I'm rewatching Pokèmon from Diamond and Pearl. Once I'm done with the rewatch, I'm going into Horizons. I watched a bit from a while ago, but I barely know anything now.

The reason I asked this is because every single time someone criticizes media in any community I go to, they just say "no don't watch," "it's ass," or "it's mid."

They don't even provide a reason, and I saw this with two pieces of media: The Legend of Korra and Life is Strange 2

Those turned out to be objectively and subjectively good or great.

Is Horizons bad at all, is it a bad addition to Pokèmon? Is it a good series. Does it fall off at a certain point? And if it does, at another point does it go up in quality? I just want to see the direction and thoughts of this show, because I think this is polarizing.

I would watch for myself, but I do want to hear some reviews that can give feedback on the series.

I start to respect LoK more and more.

I always liked LoK, but everything around me in how people treat sequels because they are "different" makes me respect LoK and other things out there.

A good example of something that made me respect it was Life is Strange 2. People overlooked it and review-bombed it... etc.

I will never understand why sequels and specifically why LoK gets the flack.

I am on a rewatch and appreciate what this show has brought and I just want to know if there is even an answer for why people behave this way, especially and specifically for the Legend of Korra.

It's just crazy to me.

Edit: the spacing between the paragraphs were crazy 😭

[NO SPOILERS] Invalid Backlash for the TV Show

Racism.

Really? Some people have valid criticism, but this unnecessary backlash is just weird. I saw someone call this "lazy diversity," and how this might ruin the TV Show.

Yeah, I'm skeptical of stuff in the past with this series, and I don't like the direction, but if the show is good... then the show is good.

Most people aren't even considering if their performance or acting could even be good, but I just see them dismissing the possibility and claiming "they cannot fit the role at all," because they are a POC.

People proceed to state it will ruin the... representation of the character... the accuracy. I think it's just an excuse to hide their real thoughts.

I liked everything I've seen for the show so far besides the fact it is another thing containing Max and Chloe, but this type of criticism is just... disappointing to see.

What do you think of the castings, and does anyone here have valid critiques about it.

[NO SPOILERS] I just gotta ask,

Why do people take stuff so offensively in this fandom (maybe just this subreddit), or at least certain people of this fandom and not just here, because I see it and a lot of other places.

Now, I can say things you people don't like, but some people are acting like I was hating on the game (LiS1 for context) just because I said it wasn't a 10 out of 10. People saying it didn't connect to you like it did for us, even though it did and it's just not a masterpiece as some people called it.

I am looking purely objectively when I look at these things, so yeah go wild when you talk about your opinion, but then there's people in the comments giving just bad takes (unless they personally like the way characters are written... even if badly written).

It's almost like another fandom for example, you can't say "I like Korra over Aang, and Aang had more flaws here." or people will crash out on you.

Genuinely, some people just cannot read a post without skimming through it and picking out the parts they don't like, and then making vulgar filled sentences with why "I'm wrong" or "annoying"

It's like some people can't handle opinions, facts, or takes without getting mad like you disrespected something personal of them (and if the game is that personal to you, I'm still not disrespecting... just being honest.)

From what I see, it looks like certain people operate on a binary system, either it's bad or it's amazing. SOME people, not all.

[ALL] How the games have been currently.

Talking about LiS is a bit weird now for me, because I just don't see it as a good franchise anymore or maybe at the least just something that isn't as interesting anymore. I did see a video that actually gets on stuff about how the franchise declined, and it is true. I actually watched it and it changed my opinions and some of the games, because I think I was just being too generous, so when I replayed the games and actually saw some of the things that they had in it.

Now, I see that they just depart from the earlier games. Alongside that some of them are just actually not that good. I just kind of like any other game besides LiS1, LiS2, and Captain Spirit.

Using the number for total games: LiS1, BtS, LiS2, Captain Spirit, True Colors, LiS1 and BtS Remaster, DE, then RE. You can get a total of nine games. To me, every game was lacking besides LiS1, LiS2, and Captain Spirit.

I just don't understand how anybody could like BtS, more understandably stuff like True Colors I could understand but even that is just not as good as the earlier games. Same for DE and RE.

I do think there are some objective things that games lacked ever since DontNod left and most of them are bad, but I truly think BtS is the worst game out of all, maybe competing with DE.

I do think TC had some potential but lacked and RE had to follow up with DE had. So really the only terrible games I think there are is BtS and DE (haven't completely gotten to RE but so far it just ain't sitting with me)

I don't like the D9 era and I just despise the route they are heading right now.

[ALL] What do people think of LiS2 now?

When it comes down to LiS2, a lot kind of ruined the reputation. It was not a bad game, definitely not, I consider it better than the first game. There is nothing wrong with saying that and there is nothing wrong with saying it's not, but it is definitely not worse than the first game or terrible in general.

With a lot of the hate or unnecessary discourse (like people review bombing for no Max and Chloe, not even seeing the quality, and invalid criticism, which yes most of it is not everybody doing this,) but with most of it gone what do y'all think.

I frequently witness invalid information and misconceptions (to my information), so the first thing I will ask before I get into what it is as a game: I heard people saying that it ruined continuity and threw everything from the first game away, which is just wrong. Maybe the aesthetics and more, but it definitely didn't throw away the first game, especially what it was to its core (basically saying that life is strange the core, not the characters, but the other stuff that makes it what it is) absolutely stayed, and doesn't just ignore the first game either.

I also heard someone say they delayed the episode just to make sure it does fit up with continuity because they know they messed up with the game even though I'm pretty sure that's also false.

Now that's out of the way, we can continue. So I do ask what y'all think about the game... the great parts, and the criticism. Do you think this game probably could have done way better financially if the fans (some to clarify because some people came at me for saying the fan base even though that's what happened) didn't review bomb and people didn't pick up the general consensus/bandwagon to hate it.

I think it always deserved the chance, and it succeeded in being Life is Strange. I understand the criticism of it being different, but it is nowhere close to being a bad game and I thought it could have done better without all the backlash (most being unnecessary) holding it back and I'm surprised it still did good for what against it.

That's all I have here. I also do hope the franchise does get better, I think it's going a bit downward especially with how the games are now. Though, I still think they can come back but I'm skeptical now.
