So I decided to revisit my reverse mandalas and psychedelic spines. It’s been a long time since I’ve practiced any mandalas, which they are showing improvement, but still need more practice. Overall had a few flops, especially with some of my additional shades of UV dyes falling completely out. So I think it’s time to lay low on the UV for a bit. Had some that turned out super killer for where I’m currently at for my skills. Now onto more practice!

After almost 2 months I finally got around to mixing some liquid dyes up and finished my homies gift for his new baby. Even made up a matching asymmetrical fire-style.

So I have been having some fun with tweaking the glitch pattern. Which I’ve posted my first versions, here are my second and 3 variants. 2&3 share similarities, but have different ending steps. Liking that I’m getting more and more faces on glitch patterns. Will be excited to see how these look with liquid dyes.

Colors are

1. Purple twilight, Elysian, mindbender extreme, and interstellar.
2. Dalula Dyes Oopsie peach & mystery plum brown.

Hello! Was hoping someone might be able to help with ID from these flowers. These were all my seedlings sold as LW…… these were about 1 year old before grafting and have been on there for about over a year or so since graft.

Pics 1-6 is flower 1, pics 7-8 are flower 2 of 1 button in question.

Pics 9-11 is second button in question and it’s 2 flowers.

Last pics are of my fricii that has been sending off flower after flower and then my last button that’s getting ready to bloom. Hoping to eventually find a LW.

I’m almost thinking that the first 2 in question might be diffusa from the shades of petals? I’m not seeing any definitive pink stripes. Any help would be appreciated!

So here’s my firsts for HWI. Had a lot of fun learning the basics and now time to learn how to fine tune this side of the art!

Noticed I was running low on some of my sizes and decided to do a larger batch of ice dyes. Was happy that I was able to create this many pieces in a period of about 4 days. Struggled on the first few pieces with saturation, but still came out ok. Thanks for checking out my work have a wonderful week!

Hope everyone is doing well or at least just sticking in for the fight! Been on the fight side for me, but here’s some of the work I’ve attempted to complete this past few weeks. Finally feel my spirits coming back and have some heavy batches in the works!

Hi everyone, wanted to share and also ask for some tips! Here’s my first ever cactus flower! I’ve been growing cactus now for about 3 years now. All of my lophs are grown from seed, I’m pretty sure this is 4 of them that I allowed to grow for a year before I learned that’s silly and just graft them.

My questions are: will I be getting a second flower, or would that possibly be a pup to left of the flower?

I did read that I need to get a sterile swab or brush and push the pollen onto the stamen once opened. I saw that I need to do this during the day time. To play it safe I was going to attempt a few times or until I can observe the stamen closing up.

For those who self pollinate, any tips for highest chances?

I was also going to try to save some pollen on some swabs for crosses later on once I can figure out where they came from by flower. What is best long term storage for pollen? I plan on resealing my swab packs once complete and just possibly leave in dark cool place.

Hi everyone! Was hoping for some help identifying some issues. Started noticing a lot of black marks on my cactus. I have been applying DE to the bases and I have sprayed with dr zymes a few times. Is this pest damage or something else? My minds telling me it is, but would appreciate those who know better. Also with my current IPM would you recommend anything else?

So here’s my largest ice dyed tapestry. It measures 14.4’ x 4.5’. I made a pretty fun video of making it but wasn’t able to share on this platform. I’m ready to make number 2!

So I’m getting ready for my next grow and sadly have seeds popped. I’ve been noticing these outside my home and now I’ve been noticing them sneaking through my screen and have them on my back slider. Are these thrips? If not can anyone identify. I noticed what looked like these on my outdoor cactus which ive been spraying with dr zymes.

This was a fun one, refilled my deity’s, a double fanfold shirts. My first attempt at a psychedelic shibori on leggings. Then my first play with my rayon skirts!

So here’s the final pictures of my first set of ice dyed shower curtains. Super stoked on how these all turned out!

DUI

1. 60° Shibori - Kaleidoscope Eyes & sugar plum
2. Psychedelic Shibori - kaleidoscope eyes, shiitake mushroom, sugar plum
3. Mirrored glitch - iron rust, Pilar’s of creation, brushed steel, sugar plum
4. Psychedelic roll - Elysian, candy pop, sweet pea, snow maiden, hydrangea, sweet violet

Next round will be with liquids!

Pretty stoked on the first 2! Even more excited for the next 2. Both ice dyed, which I soaked in SA for a change, DUI, mirrored glitch for the first psychedelic roll for the second. 2 rounds of ice (16 lbs for each)

Glitch colors - Iron Rust, rattlesnake, brushed steel, pillars of creation, sugar plum, wild thing, & moose.

Psychedelic roll - Elysian, candy pop, sweet pea, snow maiden, hydrangea, mindbender, & sweet violet

Pariah baths at end to push final colors and heat batched! Now onto the shibori and my favorite the psychedelic shibori!

Finally got some babies transplanted and hoping these guys will take off this summer! My friend pointed out that in the second pic my TBM-C is glowing. Think it might be time for me to chop my larger pups and get them into their own pots. I know I could keep them there, but I want more pupping…..

Finally wrapped up my first batch of women’s tank tops! Ended up having a lot of fun with some psychedelic sunshine!

So here’s my first attempts of trying the diety rolls on shirts. I feel like I didn’t get enough definition vs what I would have liked. I think it comes down to me having the habit of working dry vs damp in the past. Also didn’t get enough saturation on the bottom half’s. Will be revisiting these for sure later on! Then I did a small revisit on some double fan folds and psychedelic rolls.

Shirts were not soaked in SA prior.

Rolled/folded dry.

Inclined in gutters.

Light pariah once racked to help dye attach.

DUI

Single dye session with lots of ice. Should have flipped and reapplied.

3x pariah baths at end.

heat batch at 225° for about 2-3 hours.

Here’s my first batch of tank tops. I decided to also try for the first time my variant of a psychedelic shibori on something other than bandanas. I am also going to start adding at least 1 neautral or earthy type tone for each batch to try to create more of a balance of colors. My last two days working my earthy tones flew off the racks for me. Now on to the workmen’s tanks tops!

So I noticed I’m horrible about having a mix of colors, where I have pretty much all bright vibrant crazy colors. Needed to try to add some more neutral tones. Decided to play with inclined double fanfolds.

Not soaked in SA prior. 2-3 light pariah baths once tied and inclined.

Combo of both DUI/DOI (dye on string then dye over ice)

3 heavy Pariah baths at end to push final dye.

Have you ever worked on a project where you pretty much hated all of your results? Well here’s mine. A reverse batch pink (got overcooked) & sapphire blue (doesn’t discharge) & a failed attempt at a psychedelic style mandala like my framed piece. So glad to be done with these and to refocus my energy properly to create something I can be happier with. Looks like we have some new discounted shirts. 😂

I have also added my geodes hoody order that I wrapped up. Got my energies realigned!
