Is it a really bad idea to get a kitten 3mo before baby is due?

FTM, due in early October. I really want to rescue a kitten, my husband thinks it’s a bad idea. We already have 2 dogs. My husband works from home and I have put my career on hold until after the baby is born/few months old. Am I crazy for wanting to add an animal to our family??

EDIT: thank you all for the responses! I have a lot to think about but think waiting to add a sweet kitten would be the best for all involved!

25weeks, anger and depression.

The past week and a half, I’ve been going through swings of anger and depression. We moved across country about a month ago, my husband went to his brothers Bach party for 4 days 10+ hours away and all hell broke loose. Both dogs had vomiting and diarrhea. There was a huge dead rat in the yard, and a massive palmetto bug in our bathroom. I felt overwhelmed. Now husband has to go to his brothers elopement (just mom dad, his siblings, brides parents are coming but probably not her siblings). He will be gone for another 4 days, 12+ hours away, flights alone cost over 1,500$. I know he can’t miss it because it is his brother but I’m so upset and angry about it all.
Anyone else have very intense hormonal emotions that have made it hard to cope with things?

Rooster behind suncoast credit union on Santa Barbara across from high school

If anyone is able to grab a rooster, poor thing has been on the corner behind the suncoast. Called a shelter and they are closed for the day. I don’t know how to handle roosters or chickens and am very pregnant so not able to catch him myself :(

Edit: just moved to FL, not sure if chickens/roosters just roam free here or not

Any resources for young teen who was kicked out of home and has no where to go?

Earlier tonight, I discovered a young teen in my neighborhood in need of help. Their parents had kicked them out last week and they have been sneaking into friends homes at night and trying to keep cool somewhere during the day. Kid said that parents did not report them as missing. They stayed at Oasis last night but apparently they have a 1 night stay rule. Is there any resources I can reach out to? When I told them I was going to call and report the parents on negligence, they said no and expressed not wanting to go back to foster care.

EDIT: thank you all so much for your responses and suggestions! I’ve decided to call DCF to best support this teen!

EDIT: I am talking about one teen. I am using they/them to protect the identity of the teen in case there are any creeps out there.

Advice on random young teen outside house

There is a school bus stop bench across from our house. When I came home from work yesterday around dusk, I noticed a young teen laying on the bench. I got up and left this morning and teen was gone, but when I got home today around 4pm the teen was back. I went out and asked them if everything was ok and if they needed help with anything and gave them a cold bottle of water, teen said everything was ok. Is there something else I should do? I don’t mind that they are there, i do want to make sure they have access to needed resources/help if something was wrong

EDIT: does no one else see this as a red flag that something more is going on? Honestly asking

Gift giving

I had a client graduate from services a year and some months ago. As of April, I am no longer working as a BCBA (still have an active license with BACB). I was invited to the client’s graduation party which I am unable to attend. I was going to send a card, am I able to send a gift as well? What if the gift is under $10? Any advice is appreciated
