Out of Towner Thursday visit and Move in

So is move in week alphabetical or just a window for everyone the whole week? Meaning will Thursday be better parking than early in the week?

Admissions Reader Position

I don't suppose anyone knows when the hiring for Admissions Reader that just closed last week will be filled do they? I'm thinking if the status has not changed yet, that it is a no, but I'd like to glom on hope.

Prescribed flomax without examination; deciding not to take

So my new dr. prescribed me flomax just because I said I pee a lot. I have a bottle, but after researching side effects, I'm thinking about skipping it altogether. It seems like I should have an exam or something to prove BPH before taking this ... right? My previous dr said it could be prostate, but never pursued the meds (perhaps he knew better about the effects?). He is switching offices and hope to be his patient again some day.

Post endoscopy anxiety

A week after general anesthesia, I am in panic. I was OK mentally for a day and a half until triggered pet loss event. I can tell its physical as I have pressure, heat, near crying. It seems to build over hours mostly in the AM in waves, but at times I'm over it, typically at night. Is there any way to overcome this via diet that makes it go away faster? I was off an antidepressant for 3 months, but this is triggered me to go back on. I just hope this goes away soon. I don't want to get out of bed, go out, or eat as much.

Retiring from an Indiana State Funded University and going back

Hi all,

I know if you retire from a University in Indiana, you can't go back into a benefits eligible position. PT and Temp work only. But does anyone know if that applies to not being able to work at any of the other Indiana Universities FT within the state, or just the one you left?

general anesthesia and Lexapro effects while on and off of Lex

Hi,

I just had a colonoscopy where they used general anesthesia. Although, I was ok for about a day, something tragic regarding a pet has put me into 100% panic fear anguish etc. I've been off Lex for about 3.5 months and this is tempting me to relapse and start taking it, but has anyone went under anesthesia while on Lex and had a reaction like mine? I ask because I'm afraid if I do relapse and take it, I'll be even worse! And/or have you undergone surgery and been a recent non taker of Lex like me and had this happen to you. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Its day 4.

Thanks

Something to keep me occupied

Hi,

I am a recent retiree (probably should have handled things in a different way) who went off the anti-depressants (no desire to go back on - makes me grumpy) and am struggling on what to do with myself, whom to connect with, etc. I tried to go back to work, but to no avail. So I need to get something started and asking the Lord to find some purpose in life again. Sitting around and only going to the gym for an hour is not enough.

Thanks

Males gathering with spayed cat

So, I thought after a month or so a spayed cat would not attract tom cats. But I just witnessed and 'act' that makes me think it can happen. All 3 cats came around.

Off 3 months, 1 dose, will not continue

So after going off for 3 months, it did seem like I likely needed to go back on at least 2.5 maybe 5. But after taking it just this morning, I noticed my irritability and impatience is back (which for me wasn't really a temp side effect), so I just won't go back on it after all. 3 months is the average relapse date I noticed on this site, so maybe if i can push through a little more and be home free. Has anyone else started to relapse after 3 months but pushed through and won the battle? And are there any other meds that do work well with temp or 1 time dosage? I noticed positive things from going off of it, and want to keep it that way. I think my real issue is to stay busy and not stay stale which causes the anxiety. Anyway, long post ... I know I just need to get this out. Thanks for reading.

Bring back their 2 kittens pls

About Wheeling and McGalliard or so, 2 kittens were kitten-napped. They were not totally weened and enjoyed playing. Whoever did that to the family in that area did it last year with a black cat as well. Please don't be a home wrecker and let the family grow together. The mom is spayed now so that was all they would produce.

MWF TR or single days

If someone wanted to commute to WL, just not for 5 days, is it possible to group classes for the semester that are all MWF or TR or any other 2 or 1 day groupings? Just curious at this point.

AHN replacement Dr.

So, A doctor I have is leaving AHN, anyone have any pros and cons of the other doctors there? I don't want this to turn into a dissing people post, just a gentle point to whom may be a good Dr. to switch to, or at least a non-disaster of a Dr.

Top 3 schools that can get you in

I'm curious to know from DC people where they got there degrees from. And how fast they got through it etc. I don't want to go to any school that has DC like programs, but typically won't get you in.

Data Centers and Ivy Tech

So can any alumni on here confirm or deny that Ivy Tech is good for getting a data center job in Indiana? Granted there are lots of titles, but I know they are building a few in Indiana and thought it may be a way in. But I'd like to hear that from someone who actually has accomplished that.
