Question: How many gunowners own Just One? And, how many guns constitue "a collection?"

A few friends and I are having this debate.

I don't want to know how many guns anyone on here has. Calm down fed watchers. I'm only interested in what we think as a community the answers are.

Better than a P09, Change My Mind

CZ 75 SP-01 Phantom, polymer frame 19+1. Such a good gun.

Grip Width, Old vs. New

Hickock45 said, "the person who designed the modern grips has obviously never fired a .44 Magnum." Paraphrased.

It looks like a small difference but, overall width at the web of the hand increases from 0.87" to 1.1". A lot more so further down the strap. Notice how quickly the modern grip tapers away from the strap? That puts a narrow concentrated force straight into the hand.

This post is for those that say wood grips suck. FYI, MODERN wood grips suck. The stocks on the left are from the early 80s.

Granted, the left is a 29-3 and the right is a 686+. But the overall frame width difference is only 0.015"

This is my Chonk and smol boy. Everything else fits in between. Do you have an extreme pairing?

I have a full sized Pietta in 45 Colt, now I need a Bird Head.

I recently purchased a 1873 Pietta 4 3/4" SAA in 45 Colt and I LOVE it!! So, now I need a second. Mine is CCH and walnut, so I wanna keep that same look. But I'm thinking birdhead. Just to mix things up. I can't have too many duplicates in my collection.

So, what flavor? I want it in 45 Colt. But made by whom? Give me some ideas, please.

Back up gun question?

If you were to carry a BUG, what would be your pairing? What with what?

They don't make those holsters in LH.

A friend bought me a chest rig for my 500 Magnum. But I'm left handed. So, in stead of sending it back I swapped it around myself. Fun project. Came out nice. I have no need to actually carry this monster. But, ever gun needs a holster. Right?

If Doc Were Alive, What Would Be His Duo?

What are the actual requirements for a Doc Holliday Duo? Same ammo is one, right?

I assume his guns were both .45 Colt. Ok, I'm fixing to go down a rabbit hole. ...

Does anyone EDC a Revolver?

I mean, really? Reeeely? I have an auto loader that is an extension of my arm. But more and more I'm carrying a wheelie. Just because they are Soo cool.

But also, this happened:

I was at home, in bed watching YouTube videos. I hear someone screaming outside. I live in town, in a quiet neighborhood. This is unusual.

I had finished rearranging stuff that day and I just so happened to have a variety of weapons to choose from.

9mm 4" polymer semiauto DASA 18+1

9mm 8" PCC AR style 33+1

12 ga 18" 7+1 3" 00 Buck

.357 686+ 7 rounds of full house magnum

And I went for the magnum. I wanted to have something impressive on sight. Impressive sounding if it came to that, for group therapy. Also, something devastatingly effective on the first shot.

Hand Held Machine?

I need to sew about 50 ft of hem along the bottom of a curtain that I cannot take down. I assume I need a handheld sewing machine of some durability but not too expensive. Cuz this is the only use that I have for the machine at the moment. If it survives, the machine that is, I will put it in a drawer for possible future use. So I need cheap but as durable as possible so that it at least survives this one task. Any suggestions please.

Quiet Toilet

Is there such a thing as a quiet toilet? I need to install a toilet in the booth of a theater. Technically in a closet in the booth. And I am interested in the quietest possible functioning toilet.

5 Star Speed Loaders

They are available and pretty. But I want the spring loaded type. Primarily I need them for a 686+ and a K6S. Who do I go to?

Extra gear space

Bag full of gear that was taking up the back seat. Kinetic rope with soft shackles, small tool bag, 2 folding chairs, 2 blankets, battery powered air compressor kit with extra battery, Big Boy folding saw, crowbar, and maul. Cheap ass bag from Amazon. Parachord net by me.

Cheap ass bag because I bought the nice canvas bag for $80 and it lasted a year of actual use. This one was twenty something.

I am trying to keep maximum availability of bed space and back seat space to stay flexible. I don't like moving and rearranging things when I need to do truck stuff, like hauling furniture or a buddy wants to jump in the back.

Omega Triggers

I have this 75 B Omega, that is also a decocker. So, is it a 75 BD Omega? Anyway, the Omega trigger package on this gun has always been the standout feature. It is simply amazing.

Everyone who shoots this gun is a convert.

Did CZ stop making this option? If so, why? It is a damn cheat code.

Also, I cajunized the springs years ago and now I'm not sure if that is a stock hammer. I'm getting old my friends.

Just my preference. But I've gone back to stock rubber grips over my G10 grips. They just feel and grip better, for me.

Anyone else?

If it has no import marks, does that make it a wartime bringback? And if so, is it a reasonable bet that it was traded to an American GI, outside of Berlin?

Given that, this was the rare place that US and Soviet troops came together?

My wife and I are well adjusted to the seasons. She still has decent hand strength. Her favorite shooter is a VP9. But, it's too big for her to carry. Being an ample beauty, she does not want to have to wear anything that requires bulky clothing.

I have struggled for years to find a carry option for her. Gun selection is not the issue. It's holsters. I will get her whatever she wants. I am interested in what other folks have found.

So far, she doesn't like the Enigma. And sticky's don't have sufficient retention.

I'm leaning more and more toward a cross body bag. But that has it's drawbacks.

So, tell me folks, what works for you and yours?
