🎥 OPEN CALL FOR VJs + VIDEO ARTISTS IN NYC! OPEN DECKS at H0L0 Ridgewood Queens | WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19th 2026

Hey VJs! We’re looking for VJs and video artists to come play visuals at an experimental art event in NYC.

Technical Difficulties is a new series pairing VJs, video artists, DJs, and electronic musicians for live audiovisual experimentation.

The idea is pretty simple: come test new work, try weird things, experiment, collaborate, and see what happens in front of a real crowd. Nothing needs to be finished or polished. This is meant to be a place to beta test work live. Each VJ will be matched with a DJ/musician for a 20 to 40 minute set!

Looking for:

• VJs / Video and Projection artists
• DJs and Musicians
• Anyone interested in experimenting with live audiovisual performance

Private, partially furnished room available for one month only (August 1–31) in a welcoming women-only, LGBTQ+-friendly apartment in Ridgewood, Queens.

The room is on the smaller side but gets great natural light and includes:

  • Twin bed frame and mattress
  • Desk

Rent: $1,300

  • All utilities included (electric, Wi-Fi, etc.)

Security Deposit: $200

  • Fully refundable at the end of the sublet, provided the room is left in good condition and there is no damage.

Perfect for someone moving to NYC who needs a place to stay while apartment hunting for a September move.

I'll be away for a few weeks during August, so you'll have the apartment mostly to yourself for part of the month.

Requirements:

  • Women only (LGBTQ+ friendly)
  • Background check required
  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Sublet agreement and payment contract must be signed
  • $200 security deposit is due in advance to reserve the room.
  • $1,300 rent is due in full on move-in day.
