I'm looking for a 65'' TV to replace a Vizio V405-G9. I've had it for ~5 years and am tired of trying to overcome the washed-out, black-levels-devoid image and the inconsistent lighting. I'm looking for something that's bright and has good HDR and black levels.

The replacement will be used almost exclusively for gaming. OS doesn't matter to me, because I use the Xbox to access streaming. I sit fairly close because I have trouble reading text from a distance.

I've been looking at this subreddit for the last couple weeks and I think I've narrowed it down to these two, because my Best Buy carries them. Is there a significant difference between these two, other than an extra ~$150 for the LG?
