Don't you find it concerning that almost all vegan protein powders have dangerous amounts of heavy metals?

With all of the lead that plant protein powders tend to have, isn't taking plant-based protein powder dangerous in the long term, especially when it comes to retardation?

For example, orgain protein powder just tested above the safe levels of lead and it is 143% above California's limit.

Costco is currently in a lawsuit because of this, because the products are not as healthy as marketed to consumers.

People like to make fun of California's law but have you ever thought about maybe that they are right and have the progressive position in the regulation of cancer-causing substances in food?

I've spoken to some vegans about this but it feels like a lot of them just handwaved this concern away, and that's something that concerns me.

You might not notice the effects immediately, but the heavy metals accumulate over time in your body and it is difficult to remove it.

Whereas if you switch to whey protein, they often contain no lead and are usually cheaper.

Or if you really want to stay vegan, why not make your protein powder yourself and test for lead yourself?

Do you like the vegan lifestyle but sometimes dislike some vegan people?

I mean there are plenty of kind vegans but I just noticed that I meet a lot more vegans than I expected who act like they're better than you or are just plain mean.

It's like I like the vegan lifestyle but I just don't like some of the vegan people.

Best budget reliable rice cookers?

So I have a national brand rice cooker that I think is almost 20 or 25 years old and I just don't like how the rice turns different colors and hardens and cooks unevenly.

I've been searching every Asian supermarket in my area and can't find national brand rice cookers anywhere.

We did have an expensive Zojurushi for 5 years and it broke so I'm pretty scared of buying another expensive rice cooker only for it to not last.

Are there any good rice cookers that I can expect to last decades that don't cost a pretty penny and preferably is simple?

When is it actually a good time to exercise?

Is it usually better to wait until close to expiration, exercise early, or does it depend on taxes, volatility, and whether they're ISOs or NSOs?

Or should I never exercise at all as what some people say?

I'm trying to understand the general strategy.

Did you feel more emotionally attached to the guy you were with after you lost your virginity?

I think it's pretty obvious how guys feel emotionally after losing theirs, so I just wanted to ask how it felt for you when you first lost yours and did you feel emotionally closer to the guy you were with at the time because of it?

How do you feel about the privileges that woman have?

I was watching this video and I saw just how easy it was to get all these guys to do things for you for free as a woman.

I just wanted to know, is being a woman really this easy?

Like I sometimes imagine the idea of being this hot chick making millions off of OF, getting guys to pay for my meals and drinks, having 24/7 access to sex and relationships with guys lining outside my house, boyfriends paying for trips around the world, and having dozens of guys doing things for me whenever I want it.

Maybe it's not as easy for some women, but I've seen a lot of stories of things like this happening.

I've seen some MTF transitioners who say that after transitioning but also not disclosing their trans status, they started getting thousands of matches on tinder compared to when they often got almost zero matches when they were male, and this was something that really showed me how much easier women had it when it came to dating.

And I've also seen some Reddit posts from women who've made hundreds of thousands from OF and were trying to get financial advice on how to manage it.

I can go on and on, but I think it touches on a small slice of Queen-B privileges.

With all of this in mind, how do you feel about this?

How do you distinguish between anatomic AGP and bottom dysphoria?

Like if your brain thinks that you ought to have the opposite sex genitals, and you imagine yourself as the opposite sex in your sexual fantasies, at what point would it be anatomic AGP or bottom dysphoria?

If the whole world was vegan, wouldn't this lead to mass deforestation and contribute to climate change?

If the whole world ate no animal products and only ate plants, wouldn't this lead to mass deforestation due to the astronomical increase in demand for plants?

If I keep eating my omnivore diet, I'm also contributing to lowering the population of animals that also eat plants.

If we let their populations explode, then wouldn't they start eating more plants as well, rapidly lowering the population of plants and contributing to climate change?

I'm open-minded to becoming vegan, but I just don't think that it's necessarily better for the planet.

Isn't veganism extreme?

Isn't veganism extreme?

A lot of people describe veganism as an extreme lifestyle because it excludes all animal products, even things like eggs, dairy, and honey.

From completely excluding two major parts of the food pyramid, wouldn't this be considered extreme dieting?

Why not just have a more measured approach as all healthy people do by following the science and eating according to the food pyramid that you were taught in nutrition class?

Instead of an extreme approach where you exclude all meat and dairy from your diet, why not say hey, everyday for lunch and dinner I'll eat a plant-based diet, but for breakfast I'll have some eggs and milk, and two times a week I'll eat fish to get my vitamin B12 and omega-3s?

That way you can cover all of your nutritional needs while also doing your part for the animals.

As a cis woman, I just wanted to say that my experiences with a trans man are so much better

I've been seeing this trans guy for 2 months and I just want to say that trans men are SO much better than cis men.

Being a cis woman, I don't have to deal with the misogyny that I usually see from cis men, I don't have to worry about SA and the trans men I meet are so much kinder and softer.

Sometimes I fall asleep in my boyfriend's arms and it's just so different compared to when I was with my exes.

There's something about being in a relationship with a trans man that gives me the feeling of being so safe.
