TU Chemnitz (M.Sc. Web Engineering) – Looking to connect with seniors and get some insights

Hi! I'll be joining the M.Sc. Web Engineering program at TU Chemnitz. Looking to connect with seniors/current students. I'd love to know about the course, Werkstudent opportunities, full-time job prospects after graduation, and any accommodation leads.

If you were starting in AI today, what would you learn??

B.Tech AIML graduate here, starting my Master's in AI soon.

For those working as AI/ML Engineers earning well (20+ LPA or equivalent), what skills actually made the biggest difference in your career?

If you had to start again in 2026 aiming for top AI Engineer roles, what would you focus on learning? Also, which resources (courses, books, YouTube channels, roadmaps, etc.) would you recommend, and which ones would you avoid?

My Two Cents on the Biryani Guy–Sejal Pawar Case?

My view on the whole Biryani Guy–Sejal Pawar controversy is that both sides were seriously wrong, and I'm not defending either of them. But what genuinely bothers me is how selective public outrage has become.

We know there are reports of hospital footage of women being sold on Telegram for ridiculously cheap prices. We see rape cases, paper leaks, corruption, privacy violations, and countless other issues that have a real impact on people's lives. Yet most of these stories barely get the same attention, outrage, or sustained pressure from the public.

At the same time, we've seen massive online campaigns against people like Samay Raina, Apoorva, BeerBiceps, comedians, influencers, and content creators. Whether they were right or wrong isn't the point. The point is that people clearly have the ability to organize, speak up, trend hashtags, demand accountability, and make their voices heard.

So why does that energy seem strongest when the target is an internet personality? Why don't we see the same intensity when it comes to rapists, corruption, paper leaks, privacy violations, or people in positions of real power?

This isn't about supporting anyone involved in this controversy. It's about questioning why our outrage is so inconsistent. If we're capable of making this much noise over influencers and creators, imagine the impact we could have if we showed the same determination for issues that genuinely harm society.

That's the part I struggle to understand.

Anyone else got "Admission offered" but no admission letter from BTU?

Hi everyone,

My BTU application status for the M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence program has changed to "Admission offered" in the portal, but I haven't received an official admission letter yet.

Has anyone experienced this before? How long did it take for the admission letter to appear after the status changed?

Honest opinions about rüsselsheim city?

How is rüsselsheim overall?

I've read mixed reviews about the city and the university campuses. How are the academics, student life, transport connections, and job opportunities in the region?

Would love to hear from current students.

Got a Verpflichtungserklärung instead of blocked account — is it equally accepted for student visa?

Hey everyone, Indian applicant here applying for German student visa for Masters. Instead of a blocked account, I have a Verpflichtungserklärung (VE) from my maternal uncle who lives and works in Germany. It was officially approved by the Ausländerbehörde, valid for the full duration of my Masters programme.

Wanted to ask people who've gone through this — is VE treated equally to a blocked account by the consulate? Any experiences or things I should be careful about?

Thanks in advance!
