What was the official reason BW was done so bad?

Yeah, yeah, it's another post hating on BW. But I really am curious. What's the reason it was written so badly.

The soft reboot is obviously a big reason but that could have been handled way differently. Have a somewhat veteran fighter defeat ash instead of a temu Paul who just started his journey.

Don't overcrowd his team and make them semi decent.

Don't make a fucking idiot who forgot to bring six Pokemon beat him.

I mean there are so many things they could have done differently.

Is there any official reason for this treatment?

I mean, this backlash got them to work and made the peak xy but I am still curious.

They made 4 series before so they should have no problem with a fifth one.

Tanaka or kyotani or Yamamoto?

A classic debate. Three characters that on the outside seem the loudest and obnoxious but actually think things through more than they let on.

Who would you rather have on his team. And no "well it depends on the team."

I mean, I get it, it really does depend on what type of team you are creating and I do say this too, but come one. Take a risk. Just pick one.

I would pick Tanaka for his mentality, spike diversity and serve. What about you?

Worst tips for new Royal Road writer.

Best tip is cliche. What's your worst tip you would to someone or that you yourself Heard.

There are two options:

 1. One for new writers in general.

 2. one for new writers in royal road (it's a big change to go from traditional to web.)

I'll get it going.

For general:

 1. You must write every single day, at the very least 5000 words. If you are not at least doing this, what kind of a writer are you?

 2. Keep your ideas on any surface you can find and don't organize them. We thrice in confusion.

 3. Always chase after the new shiny idea and never properly finish a single one. Otherwise you might actually start and we never want that.

RR specific:

 1. You must have 150 edited post ready chapters. Never start posting until then (or never post at all)

 2. Don't read the recommended posts. Otherwise you might actually get an idea how to get a grip of RR culture.

 3. Always, and I mean always, ghost your readers. Never reply to their comments. Never engage in the community. Otherwise you might get some exposure and we never want that.

What's some of yours.

Why does the new anime feel so... Bad?

Most agree that the old is better than the new anime. But why?

I tried to answer this, but I just couldn't. It's like not one big thing but more like hundreds of subtle things that make it less enjoyable.

Anyone got any idea why?

The disrespect is unholy

I get if you don't want to keep him on your top 10 spiker. I don't care if you don't even like him because of his personality, that's your opinion and I will respect it. But holy, to say he is a shit player because he quit once and did not play after highschool is ungodly.

We have a lot more interection, but these are the main ones.

Anyone got any good fanfiction?

Exactly what the title says. But no romance please. Just what happens after type of story. Otherwise, I might need to write one myself.

Why was asahi done so dirty?

Like, in the anime he is one of the stamina monsters who keep jumping to hit in karasuno. Never took a break, always played every game. He has one of the best spike serve in the series, period. But, the game made him so ass I am pretty sure it made many people believe asahi is ass in the anime too. He's not.

Why nerf him like this?

Shoutout still confuses me

Here is what I understand about shout-out. It's a code of sorts that you give to the other writer and receive his and paste it on your pre chapter box in a specific section. It allows readers of each author to get to know the other story and some loyal readers will read the other story just because their favorite author did the shout-out.

(Do correct me if I am wrong)

I have a few questions:

 1. does royal road have any official or unofficial way to get shout-outs?

 2. how do people generally get shout-out partner? Just a reddit post? That doesn't seem particularly effective.

 3. I let's say I give the code but he doesn't use it. Can I do anything about it?

Hinata as a first year was not that good.

>!Obviously he went and became a pro after the whole Brazil arc, so I am not saying he stays bad. But boy do some people treat him like he was the absolute peak of volleyball in his first year. !<

>!He's not. He's not even that good. Obviously, as a spiker, he is a beast. No doubt about that. But he has bad and inconsistent block (I cannot say very bad as he does get better after the running approach block). He has no serve under his belt and he cannot even pick and serve like daichi or Tanaka or even tsukishima. !<

>!Another thing is, his ground defence at the end of national is very overrated. From what I understand, he was just beginning to piece it all together what he needed to do in defense and how to do it.!<

>!Another thing I cannot get is why people compare him to hoshiumi. I mean they compare him because of the whole little giant thing but hoshiumi was better in every category. Ground defense, block, serve. heck, he could set the ball like a great setter and had better attack tool than Hinata.!<

>!Now, I feel like I should not just trashing him for bo reason. He does get a whole lot better after being able to play in the nationals. He is also one of the best overall players we see at the end of the series. It's a very proud moment to see how far he has come along.!<

>!But this is only such a proud moment because he was not that good. He was one dimensional at first. Attack attack attack. Then at the fourth season, he slowed down and got drawn to another part of volleyball, defense. when he fell to the fever, he understood that volleyball is not just for the court. For him, it is a lifestyle that he needs to constantly improve upon and always be on top physical shape for any chance he can get.!<

>!All in all, I just feel like thinking he was very good undermines how much he grows skill wise and mentally wise a little.!<

>!Not saying anyone does it on purpose (I mean, who would.) but it does feel like that.!<

How do Karasunk members rank at their respective position?

I made a similar lost before but in that I asked in a vacuum how skilled they were. some were not pleased as I ranked nishinoya second. And I could understand their logic as well as it was hard to rank them as they played different positions. So, let's rank em in their own position against every player we have seen.

It can be hot takes, no worries. Just say what you think.

Kageyama: S+ tier. Top 3 setter in any rank right alongside Miya and oikawa. I would rank oikawa first as he can bring out 100% of a spikers strength and that is the epitome of a setter, in my opinion. There are a few more things, but this skill would be the most important. Then I would have Miya and kageyama tied at second as for me they are a tossup depending on what type of team you are building.

Nishinoya: S+ tier. Another top tier player in the top 3 of any list. Along with yaku and komori, he is the best we have seen. I would put yaku at the top, as we have not seen komori in his high school era playing. That's why he is a bit hard to rank. I would say you is right behind these two though.

Asahi: S to S+. A phenomenal spiker and a top 7 ace. He Is good enough to start in any team in the nation, has phenomenal strength and serve, also a decent enough defense to support his team when needed. The one thing holding him back, imo, is his jumping. For someone his height, he does not jump as high as the rest of the top ace above him. Still, I would put him at least this high as he is one of the few players in the series who has consistently given top tier performance in every match they play. Consistency matters.

Daichi: A to A+. A very good overall player which is crucial for an outside. He is a very good leader who can raise everyones morale or put them in their place as necessary. Can pick and serve, has phenomenal defense being able to at the very least bump up any and everything you can throw at him. Is also surprisingly effective as a surprise hitter.

Tanaka: A to A+. Another good spiker. I would put him in the 10 to 15 spot. Has good strength, exceptional line and cut shot, and has a good but inconsistent serve, great reflex. The things holding him back from going higher is probably his strength, serve and receive. Tanaka has good strength don't get me wrong, but compared to the best of the best, he falls short by a large margin. His serve has improved the most in the short amount of time he trained with it, but at the end of the day, we need to see how good and consistent it is. It is good bo doubt as he got a service ace against nekoma of all team but it is very inconsistent as he himself was surprised when he got the ace. Still a very good hitter and a mental beast.

Tsukishima: B+. I can't justify him being any higher. He just doesn't have that feat going for him. Some people say him not being a particularly flashy player is proof how good he is, but I disagree. There is a difference in being cool and collected to being so good it does not even seem flashy anymore. I would say fukunaga or yaku are the type to fall in the "peak but you don't realize it because you are a mere commoner" tier. Tsukishima is not. Kuro is a good example. The opposition hates facing him the most but the spectators don't realize it. Also, on the subject of kuroo, he is a very good middle blocker who actually is a good overall player. He can serve, defend and attack. A full package. On the other hand, tsukishima has no serve, bad in defense, runs out of steam often. Even in the serve department, he is not that good. But he is calm and collected, which does create some opportunities for karasuno, so I will rank him this high.

Hinata: C tier. I am gonna get flamed in the comments but hear me out. Hinata is a phenomenal attacker who can attack from any position, that much we agree. But his position is middle blocker. And I am gonna rank him based on that. And let's just say, there is not much to rank. He has not much feat as a middle blocker. In fact he is Terrible at it. The opposition easily deceives him, he runs straight into the net more times that everyone in the whole anime combined. But his athleticism makes up for it by giving him some insane feat, like blocking ushiwaka. But those are mainly plot device and not a consistent feat so I cannot rank him any higher.

Phew. I expect to get clowned on in the comments for some of the opinions, but that's no prob. Tell me what you think in the comments.

Asahi and tsukishima- an underrated chemistry.

Whenever people think of tsukishima having great chemistry or people tsukishima take advice from, yamaguchi, bokuto, kuroo are the names that are frequented. Not much shine is given on asahi. And that is for a good reason. Because they dwarf in this section. Hehehe.

Asahi and tsukishima does not have as many or as prominent exchange of words but the ones they do have are some of my favorites.

Tsukishima always had a respectful way of talking to asahi and he is the one tsukki goes to the most in terms of getting advice or just talking among the seniors.

Remember the time in training camp where asahi reminded everyone he is still the ace? The conversation they had before? That still is one of my favorite underrated moments. Because it feels... Natural.

Tsukishima having doubts about how to feel about hinata and asahi delivering a straight forward answer with not only words but also action.

Also there was that moment in the manga against shiratorizawa where asahi thought Tsushima was slowly becoming the cornerstone of the teams blocking and looked proud. People call suga a mom but the look asahi had then also screamed a parent being proud.

There are a few more small moments like this in the manga but these two are my most favorite and memorable ones for me.

You just have to love it when two characters interection and chemistry flows so naturally like this.

Who is karasunos fourth best individual player?

Most people would agree that in terms of individual skills in a vacuum, kageyama, nishinoya and asahi are the top three.

So, my question is, who would you pick as the fourth best?

I would say daichi because of his leadership and defensive capabilities, but there is still a very big gap between him and the top three (in terms of individual skills, that is.)

I would also say Hinata is the worst among the regulars and most of the non regulars too.(Again, in a vacuum)

Who would you pick as the fourth best?

Tanaka In nationals felt ... ... Underwhelming?

>!After so many rereads, this is what I always feel.!<

>!Don't get me wrong, he had a phenomenal game vs inarizaki... But that's pretty much it. It felt like you could have taken him off and nothing would change.!<

>!I genuinely can't name a single memorable thing he did vs nekoma and kamomedai, except that one lucky service ace he got against kamomedai.!<

>!Like, even daichi, who generally stays in the background and provides stability and defense, had a more memorable moment with the point scored with his leg, and that double save in the same match.!<

>!Asahi and Hinata were the sole reason kamomedais block was finally broken through. Also on topic of asahi, nekoma used the same defense for him that karasuno used for ushiwaka, which felt very refreshing to see, just how far out whimpy ace got. Also the frozen in air, the block crusher, the intentional waterfall, the 'lets get one point' moment. After a long time, asahi finally got some shine from furudate.!<

>!Hinata and kageyama were.... Well, Hinata and kageyama. They ot the mc treatment as always.!<

>!Tsukishima had that duking out with kuroo, the spear and shield moment alongside yamaguchi, and no block moment too.!<

>!But what about Tanaka?!<

>!I can be wrong, but I just read the manga again yesterday and I did not see any noteworthy moments.!<

>!What do you think? Did furudate lessen the attention Tanaka got?!<>!!<

Where do I start from?

I want to learn how to compose music for my game but I don't know the first thing about music.

I searched on YouTube but I don't know if it's my for you page or what, I never got a decent video on the subject.

Can anyone suggest where to start. I would really appreciate that.

What's a good reason mc is brought into a game or novel?

I feel like only by accident is not really appropriate. It just feels something is amiss in that direction. And I don't want a god route either, as that does not sit right with me.

What are some good ways you saw author resolve this?

Here, another about me.

You might be a bit confused about my best duo being asahi and tsukishima even though they don't have much interection. But the little ones they do have are some of my favorite. Like the one in the training camp where asahi talked about him and tsukishima being the main rival to Hinata and asahi thinking tsukishima is slowly becoming the cornerstone of the blocking department and asahi also complimenting tsukishima and tsukishima had a freaking blush? Tsukishima?

Well, anyway, that's my take. I really like these small interaction between them.
