Why or why do you not believe in platonic friendships?

I’ll try to define what I mean as clearly as possible.
It means romantic attraction could’ve occurred with both parties but it never does.

Examples:

2 straight men that are friends are never debated to be platonic or not because there’s no way they’d both ever be attracted to each other.

A straight man and a gay man are never debated to be platonic or not because the straight man could never be attracted to the gay man.

2 gay men where both only want friendship and nothing more are platonic. There’s potential for attraction, but both only want friendship.

Z show only, what are your favorite Vegeta character development moments?

DBZ show only.
My references are to the Kai dub I saw as a kid and adult and Funimation dub that I saw as a kid.
Vegeta goes from villain to hero during the show as a slow, gradual process.
What are your favorite moments you saw the development happen?

I like how Krillin was about to kill Vegeta in his first battle with Goku and would’ve killed him, had Goku not interfered. But, during the explosion in the attempt to kill Buu, Krillin yells Vegeta’s name in sadness because he knows Vegeta is dead and painfully dying. He even wants to go back and see Vegeta’s body.
When Vegeta visits Earth with Nappa, he attacks with his full power Gallick Gun because he intends that either the Earth will blow up or Goku will be killed. But in his explosion, he is actually using his full power to save the Earth and remembering Goku as someone he sacrifices to save.

This moment I actually appreciate more as an adult. It actually has more depth and is more poetic than I realized as a child.

What’s a quote from the show you use all the time?

It’s been awhile since I used this. But when I was in school back in the day, teachers and professors for some reason didn’t like the idea of having 0 homework assignments or projects during breaks. They would ask about if we did our homework, studied, and/or did projects, I’d always reply, “Homework/Studying/Projects?! We were on a break!”
Or I’d say, “Homework/Studying/Projects?! We were on a break, like Ross and Rachel!”

Were there any historical notable romantic royalty marriages?

For a lot of royalty in many families, the children had arranged marriages with 1st or 2nd cousins to keep the power within 1 family. It also helped do things like make alliances.

Were there any famous historical members of royal families that rejected matches and married someone unrelated for love?

I specify historical because I know there’s recent marriages like Prince William marrying Kate for love.
I know there’s Nicholas and Alexandra. They both rejected other matches in favor of romantic marriage with each other. Nicholas’ family hated Alexandra. But those 2 were still 2nd cousins.
I’ll be honest though, I’m pretty sure the reason most people my age know about that marriage is due to the Wii game “Just Dance” having the “Rasputin” song on it.

Did Janice do anything wrong to cause the group to hate her before she cheated on Chandler with her ex?

They thought her voice was annoying.
Cheating on Chandler with her ex-husband was wrong.
But before that, did she do anything wrong to cause them to hate her?

Why Nicholas II’s family hate Alexandra? And did they ever accept her?

Correct me if any of my understanding is wrong:

They both rejected other matches and married for romance.
They were 2nd cousins, so it’s not like power left the family.
The family hated her for being German, but Nicholas was primarily German and Danish and not Russian. So why was that a big deal?
The religious opposition I understand because religion divided a lot of countries and families throughout history and caused many conflicts.
Did they ever accept her?

Also, was it normal at that time period for 2nd cousins to know they were 2nd cousins and fall in love? I know they were often forced to marry each other in arranged marriages to keep family power in the family. I know that’s gross to me, but that could be a modern standard.

I’ve seen some wars described as, “a rich man’s war, a poor man’s fight.” Are there wars that could be described with being “a rich man’s war and a rich man’s fight”?

I know this comes from that some wars were elites of that society having conflicts. But the main men that fought are the poor, many of whom would get 0 reward regardless of victory in the war or not. Elites could buy their way out of the draft, poor men could not and had to go if drafted. The victory or loss of that war would usually affect the elites that caused the conflict and not the poor soldiers.
Were there any wars that could be described as rich people having the conflict, but then also fighting those battles?

What's your favorite handshake routine in fictional media (GIFs of it or links to a video)?

Fictional media can include movies, shows, YouTube videos, etc.

A secret handshake routine, not just 2 people simply shaking hands.

A GIF of it or a link to a video of it.

This one is my favorite, hopefully some people here are old enough to remember it.
