Teacher just sent a mio saying for the first class we need to write a short essay so that she can see how we write I taught that was just an oeuvre narrative thing ( since it’s your first French course) I’m in my second ( poésie et écriture)

And I’m a little scared since I wasn’t able to take this French class last semester so I’m taking it now so I have one complete semester between my first and second French class so I’m scared I will be a little rusty. How is does it go usually?

First time crochet hair for senior year ( mom’s salon surprise) idk what to do

Hi so I’m starting my senior year soon ( this week) and today my mom just surprised me with an appointment to the hair salon to get crochets done for the first time since both of us have never done it before (ik it’s easy but our family has always done braids more) .She bought the hair ( that she taught was human hair because that is what it said on the page when she bought it ) on Amazon and I had washed my hair already planning on doing my hair on my own before knowing about the surprise. My mom reveals the surprise while she’s driving and I decided to look up braid styles to do before added crochet hair to get the best possible look and be able to do different styles . When we get there I show the image it was like half braid then the back like a circular pattern and they didn’t understand and taught I didn’t want crochets after clarifying they said that doing any pattern will make it natural and braided my hair then added the crochet hair my mom bought which I only briefly saw before they added it to my hair since there wasn’t any mirror at my station but I decided to trust the process and my mom . After it was done the stylist did a side part style and we paid and left my mom said it looked good it may need to be fixed a little in the middle but it looked good I was only able to see it when I got back in the car ( I’m introverted so I didn’t want to take out my phone while she was doing my hair) again it looked fine from my phone but I also realized that the hair was probably not human hair after feeling the texture and I had seen videos of how synthetic hair doesn’t last long and my mom who paid around 150 dollars asked me to try to keep it for a couple of months while we were driving home .When I got home I decided to put it in a middle part and realized spots were lacking crochet hair yet the stylist had given us back a full pack of hair that wasn’t open yet before we left meaning that my mom did buy more than enough hair .It has been less than a day and I have seen videos on TikTok saying to let your hair “marinate” for a couple of days and we will grow to like it but I know that it won’t last because of the hair’s material and I have tried to style it but it just hurts my head to do an updo not to mention so many spots in my head lack crochet hair and it shows when trying to style. Idk what to do my mom paid so much for this and I really don’t want to upset her by taking them out.

Kourosh Adl-Zarabi or Shahab Shahabi

Shahab’s section is the only one that still has seats and fits my schedule should I switch or stay with Kourosh?

Finding a job as a student at Cégep (really need help)

I know it's really hard to find a job anywhere these days, but as an 18-year-old with no experience, it worries me a lot. Since February, I've sent my resume and filled out forms to over 50 different places. Then my dad, who's a bit older than the typical dad my age, dropped me off at 10 different places so I could do it the old-fashioned way, handing in my resume in person. After all that, I've only had four interviews. Two of them made me think I got the job, only to completely ignore me. I asked my parents if they knew anyone, but even that didn't work, and everyone I know (friends) lives really far away (with the cost of living in Montreal, I'm literally the only one who still lives there), so even if I ask them for help, I won't be able to go work in Mont-Tremblant. And now I'm starting my second semester at CEGEP without any work experience, despite having done I did a lot of volunteer work in various places when I was younger… And if I manage to find a job, I hear that many employers don't like hiring students since they can sometimes only work 15 hours a week. I also hear about looking for student jobs, but they're often reserved for people in technical fields, and I'm in a science program (pre-university). In short, I'm just really disappointed because I was born here, and at 18, I'm still looking for something to earn money and gain experience for the future so I can function well in society later on. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

I’m a program transfer student and I was told that I still don’t have a registration time because I am considered a new student but when you look at the pdf it says that transfer students are considered returning students so I find it weird that I don’t have a registration time yet

How do you think career districts citizens were raised (considering the fact that the training academy was never truly mentioned in the books)?

if you think about it, letting a few districts train and then manipulating them with extreme propaganda creates a wall between the Capitol and the rest of the districts. The Career tributes are subjected to a different type of propaganda. This makes them feel superior to the other districts and encourages them to volunteer.

The Career tributes essentially become the villains for many district citizens because they are more willing and able to kill in the Games. District citizens watch the Games, so over the years, they have likely seen much more violent deaths orchestrated by Careers than anyone else.By giving the Careers more training, the Capitol almost guarantees a great show for its citizens.

Ido not remember this part vividly in the books, but in the movie, Clove does not kill Katniss right away. Instead, she toys with her to put on a show for the Capitol. This shows that the Careers are encouraged to be extremely violent to make the Games as interesting as possible for the Capitol viewers. It also makes the districts look as evil as possible to ensure the Capitol citizens do not feel bad for them. (if these children are capable of committing such violence, maybe they are just savages).
