I started MTGO and Modern in general about 1 week ago and rented an Esper Goryo's deck purely because it's a meta deck.

I've had ~5 people called me things such as a "Craggy asshole" or "you home no family and friends because you play that no brain shitty deck"

I've never once said anything in the chats first to instigate this, simply when I ephemerate a Solitude or Goryo's an Atraxa they lose their shit!

While I really don't mind this (I've been on the internet forever and I just block them and concede the match) it's pretty crazy that it's happened in about 5/50 matches

Hi all, I've been playing for 6 months and interested in getting into Modern! For reference I've been playing a good bit of Arena but mostly Commander.

I've been playing cEDH pretty heavily the last two months and really enjoy my Kefka midrange/control deck.

I'm curious with the current meta what would be a good 1-3 decks to explore that are a similar combo/control archetype?

Alternatively I've thought of going a different direction from my cEDH style and I think that Eldrazi tron might be fun.

Would love any recs from the community! For reference I plan to goldfish a bit then rent a deck on MTGO before going at it in paper. Thanks!

Hey all! I want to play a big stompy creatures deck and I really like the ones in red/black (ignoring green in this particular case).

I've narrowed down to wanting to play [[Kaalia of the vast]] or [[Rakdos, lord of riots]] Anyone built these out and have some thoughts? I know Kaalia is KOS and boom or bust, but playing big guys sounds fun so I'm down to be the target.

I’m looking for a 4th commander to round out my “core decks”. Currently I run 

[[Saruman, the white hand]] spellslinger burn
[[Dihada, Binder of Wills]] Reanimation legendaries
[[Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER]] Aristocrats

I want another combat focused deck like my Dihada, but I want it to also run blue so I can have interaction when playing against storm/combo/etc. decks.

A few I’m considering and would love to hear from people that run said decks and what they think!

[[Marneus Calgar]] — Token tribal
[[Be’lakor, the Dark Master]] — Demon tribal

[[Inalla Archmage Ritualist]] — Wizard tribal

Been playing bracket 3 for a few months now and super interested in trying cEDH! Curious of any groups or nights for someone new to cEDH to show up and learn the ropes! Already have a Kefka deck (full of proxies) ready to try out and know the key wincon lines / etc for my own deck at least.

I've been on the hunt for a bracket 3 Grixis deck I really like and this seems like it may be a good fit and different from my Ghyrson pinger and Dihada stompy bracket 3 decks.

Wanted to give a go at [[Kess, Dissident Mage]] bracket 3 with a big X spells wincon, would love if anyone plays this and has thoughts on what has / hasn't worked for them and any decklist they'd be willing to share!

[[Exsanguinate]] [[Torment of hailfire]] and [[Crackle with power]] seem to be the leading finishers? Is the strat basically draw/tutor for those and ramp/control until you can get those off?

My wife has been enjoying playing the Temur Roar precon a lot with my friends and she's won a few of our precon only games with it.

She's interested in playing against our mid-high bracket 3 decks but ideally stays on a tribal theme (she likes creatures over combos)

Any commander recommendations that fit this boat? Bonus points if it's a female commander. Appreciated!

Hey all, played my first cEDH game with some friends and was surprised at how tainted pact worked.

They said you can play [[Tainted Pact]], exile down to 1 card, and then pickup [[Thassa's oracle]] regardless of when it was exiled, then play it afterwards.

I was under the impression that when you hit the card you wanted you had to grab it then and stop the loop.

Curious which is it? Thanks!
