Install Level 2 in garage?

Getting my first EV, either a Solterra Premium or Limited. (They are having trouble ordering the Limited for some reason.)

Utility company will give some rebate for hardwiring a Level 2 charger. Stupid question: Where do I get one that is compatible?

One version or every version?

When you buy Davinci Resolve, does that get you every version forever? Or just the current major version?

Waterhouse on Adric's reputation

How does Matthew Waterhouse feel about Adric's reputation for being one of the worse companions in the show? That Adric (and his performance) is constantly held up as the epitome of Bad?

Mind you, I am not asking about your personal feelings about Adric. I fully support you if you like him. I like Mel. Nuts to what everyone thinks about her. I liked Mel. So you can like or hate Adric.

I am looking to hear what Waterhouse thinks about the general reputation he and Adric have.

God Bless you Custodial people

I bow to you. I could never do it. I worked in Costuming for a number of years before moving to Attractions, and sometimes we'd get things that were ick. (I'll never forget when the Baloos got infested with crabs!)

But you lot...I couldn't do it, and you have my utmost respect!

Skyfire - How much is Chinese propaganda?

I wanted to watch the movie Skyfire -- a Chinese disaster films -- but am uninterested in watching propaganda.

Western bad guy, Chinese safety officials warning against the amusement park on the volcano. Ignoring that the government had to approve it in the first place.

If you've seen the movie, how much propaganda is in it?

The only other fully Chinese movie I've see was a firefighting one I can't recall the name of. It was okay, but there was a good amount of propaganda in it favouring the government that wouldn't fly in a movie made in a free country.

I know you can't get away from movies that drive a position home. I just want my propaganda in digestible doses, not force fed.

Is the movie good? Is it tolerable? (That last bit is obviously a matter of personal preference.)

I always wondered why they picked Lalla Ward to play Romana II when she just played Astra in the previous episode, leading them to come up with an awkward explanation as to why Romana was copying the body of someone else during regeneration (an idea that had never been mentioned previously).

I mean, it isn't like there weren't literally thousands of actresses who could have played the part if Mary Tamm couldn't/wouldn't continue.

I am not objecting to Ward. After all, she was all kinds of yum. Just don't understand the thinking behind it.

One of the questions non-believes and even believers ask is "Why doesn't God speak directly to us?" He did to Adam, Moses, Elijah, and others. He even spoke to the Seven Churches in Revelation.

Why not us?

Why do we have to go through life and even our Christian life wondering if we are doing it right?

Why doesn't God speak to us and encourage us or correct us.

"Dear child, here is what you are doing right and what you need to correct."

Instead, God essentially wrote us a letter 2000 years ago and then cut off all contact.

My earthly father didn't do that. He was there, every day, to encourage me and also tell me when I "went off the rails". There was no guesswork involved. I knew exactly where I stood.

Now, some will say the Holy Spirit speaks to us. But that is an inadequate answer, especially to a non-believer.

"God spoke to me." Really? Are you sure? How do you know you weren't just talking to yourself?

So many times we see people even here say "God told me such and such," yet based on what they say you know God never said any such thing. Again, someone talking to themselves certain it was the Voice From Above.

Why doesn't God just make it clear and dispel any confusion on the matter?

The Holy Spirit will remind of us scripture.

Again, we are back to the letter from the past, an inadequate answer. And anyone can recall scripture, even non-believers. Doesn't mean God is speaking, unless you want to assign any memory of the Bible to God, which is unreasonable. That would be like saying someone remembering a math formula is because their math teacher is speaking to them.

Even the Psalmists spoke about God being silent.

So how would you answer such a question? If someone came up to you and asked why is God silent, especially when he has the ability to speak directly like he has done in the past, why not now? Why make people guess as to their relationship with him when it is in his power to clear it up?

Remember, God speaking through scripture and God speaking in our minds are not adequate answers.

So what say you?
