Why not the GW2 cash model?
Isn't Guild Wars 2 made by a subsidiary of NCSoft? Why doesn't Aion 2 use Guild Wars 2 cash model? Guild Wars 2 seems to make enough money to have spawned a third.

Playing Throne and Liberty, and the grind is pretty punishing. Was wondering how it is compared to Aion 2 for those who have played both.
Not against a grind. A game needs to give people things to do so they don't finish content in a hour. But on the opposite side of the spectrum, a player does need to feel like they are making actual progress and not wasting their time.
Tracking quests seems difficult in Throne and Liberty. Quest icons disappear on the screen and from the list. There are also sometimes a jumble of icons and you don't know what it is you're aiming for.
Is there a way to highlight a certain quest so you can focus on it?
Is it better to buy the game through Purple or Steam? Or does it not matter?
I never played Aion, so for giggles I downloaded it.
Is Aion 2 like Aion, or is it so different gameplay-wise that it is more a different game than a sequel? (Not speaking of story, but of gameplay.)
Does Aion 2 have random dungeon queues or is it all premade groups?
I like being a healer and I like ranged. Really would prefer Chanter, but I understand it is melee.
So how is Cleric? Is it harder because it isn't pure dps? I hear its healing is pretty good.
I intend to be a F2P player, so don't know if I'll get into groups since my GS will be gimped compared to swipers and subs.
I'm having trouble finding out where to go for the quest objective.
I do see the little marker that appears on the screen, but it only shows up for some quest. Others I have to look at the map, close the map, and then forget where it is or get lost on the way.
Is there a way to flag a quest so it puts the marker on the screen for me?
Am trying to do the Wolf dynamic event. (The one that is the first dynamic event a new player gets to.)
It's not listed on the schedule. How do I find out when it is going to start?
New player. Level 7. The tutorial told me to open the menu to enchant gear.
The icon the system highlights is not there. I looked on YouTube and the video shows an Enchant Gear icon, but that icon is not in my interface.
For those who are not paying the sub, how hard/grindy is it to get gear?
I'm hearing no drops (you have to craft it), that stats are randomised (no ability to target stats), and the AH is closed to those who don't subscribe.
I keep seeing people say Throne and Liberty is a dead game. The Steamdb numbers seem to back that up.
But T&L keeps pumping out content like it is a fully populated game.
Is the game more popular than what people are saying? Or is is small population but whales are keeping it alive?
I did try to look this up and it wasn't clear to me.
Is PvP a non-optional thing in Aion 2?
I'm really out of the loop, not having played since the very beginning.
I heard a couple people say they are turning co-op dungeons into soloable dungeons. I must have lost something in the translation.
Dungeons are going to be soloable now?
I know John Nathan-Turner wanted consistent costumes for the Doctor and (for a while) companions.
But why did he choose a completely red costume for Baker's last series? Throw some colour in there, my goodness! He almost washes out the screen.
Why such a lack of imagination there?
Am I understanding this right? You can't even access the map that comes with the Solterra unless you pay a subscription? In an age of Android Auto and Google Maps, Toyota(?) thinks you'll pay for their map?
Okay, I keep hearing wildly different and contradictory statements on this.
What percentage should I normally charge my battery to?
80%? 90%? I know not 100% unless I am planning a long trip the next day.
But how far can I go for everyday charging levels so I don't prematurely kill my battery?
Whenever I try to use the app to send a command to the car (lock, unlock, start), I keep getting the error message "Command was interrupted" or something like that.
Any thoughts?
Let me clarify.
Among other things I do which I do in the name of Jesus to help my fellow man, I also do something I hate. I mean I really, really hate doing it. It isn't sin. It's legitimate work.
It only takes at most 10-20 minutes a day. Often less. It brings in some money that I give to the poor. Not much, but some. Everything I make from this small job goes to the poor. I keep none of it.
But I really hate doing it. It is so inane and stupid. I dread having to do it.
I want to stop doing it. But I can't bring myself to stop because it does help the poor.
What would be your advice?
When removing background using Magic Mask, it runs really fast for the first second or so of footage, then drops to a crawl, doing only a few frames a second.
Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?
