Oral in first trimester?

I hope this is temporary 😅 so me and hubby were being intimate for the first time since finding out couple weeks ago and I attempted to give him oral but only just started heaving as soon as he was as far as my molars 🙈 I’m 6w+4 and this morning I’ve started to struggle to brush my teeth 😂🙈

Has anyone else had this issue? Mr took it like a champ and was incredibly understanding and found it quite comical whilst I felt embarrassed and guilty 🥲 it’s one of my favourite things to do!

Normal to start displaying crazy emotions this early? 😅😅

I’m pretty laid back and chilled person in general but yesterday was pretty wild and hilarious also got me dreading what’s to come 🙈🙈

I’m only 5W6D (36) with my 1st. I wasn’t in the mood to cook and asked the Mr if he can get food on the way home from work, he suggested pizza and followed by the 🙌 emoji which made me smile and I cried 🤨

Pizza, garlic bread and peri garlic dip ordered….IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! I actually got goosebumps and started crying….laughed that I was crying with a mouthful of pizza 🙈 Mr was in stitches and said he’s not sure if he should laugh of be afraid of me 😂😂
I continued quietly munching away with happy sniffles.

4am I woke up absolutely starving! I had a 1kg pot of Greek yogurt and decided to devour that but I noticed we ran out of honey, gently woke up my partner and asked him why we don’t have honey!!! At 4am!!! So I put sugar in it and ate the entire tub in which proceeded me retuning to bed shivering from the cold yogurt🤣🤣🤣

So far this morning I’m ok, mild nausea but an insatiable appetite I’m only 5ft2 and 52kg but I’m eating like a horse 🤣 is this normal so early?

Hormones are WILD!

Healthcare workers How did you survive your first trimester at work?

36yo with my 1st, I’m only 6w4d and sweet Jesus it’s a humbling experience.

I’m a support worker for a gentleman with autism worked with him for 3yrs, I adore the bones off him but he hasn’t got the best personal hygiene 😅 very particular with who he showers for (me and one other person) which is 2 showers a week not great in this heat.

I was FIGHTING for my life this morning, body odour was so strong and he’s worn his underwear/socks for several days, I can see the look of confusion and concern on his face and it breaks my heart, I feel terribly guilty for having to walk out the bathroom several times dry heaving 😭

We went shopping and again I’m fighting for my life, packing the food away another battle 🤣 cooking! Relentless!

PLEASE give me some advice on how to better manage morning sickness, anything that worked for you? I’ve tried peppermint tea but I never liked it, ginger tea I can just about stomach but it has to be fresh ginger.🫚

Oh you ladies who have done this more than once deserve a medal 😅🫂💜

EDIT- so many good options!! I really appreciate the tips 🥹 currently in bed with tissue and a dollop of Vicks resting on my chest, it is definitely taking the edge off 🫂 will wear the mask tomorrow and stock up on some crackers or rice cakes. Thank you ladies 💜🫶

I’m currently 5weeks 2days, I live 400 miles away from family and I only have a couple friends 🫂 I will find comfort in your stories 💜

positive energy and prayers welcome 🥹 thank you much 🫂💜💜!!!

Discovered im pregnant and im worried how my chi will cope

Some of you will know my adventure chi Yodi 💜 I have recently found out that I’m expecting. Due around Yodi’s 1st birthday actually!! (25th February)

I am aware that chis can really struggle with babies and children, she will be very young still. I don’t want her to stress too much and I’ve come up with a solution but I’m struggling to come to terms with it 😞

My dad is more than happy to have her and we can co-parent, my dad goes back home to Thailand for 4-5months a year, he’s retired and lives in a beautiful static caravan on a sandy coast. When he goes away I will have Yodi and when he’s back he’ll take her.

I already have a young male dog a golden mix Kai he will be almost 2. My partner is military and often goes away, I’m worried that I won’t be able to cope having 2 young dogs and a new born alone. We wasn’t planning on starting a family for another 3-4yrs which by then I’d finish my degree. I’m 37 this year and whilst it’s a blessing it’s not the best timing 😅

I definitely don’t want to rehome her but temporary Co parent for the first year and see how it goes. My dad does live 7hr drive away from me so it’s going to be hard but she’ll still be in the family 💜

Do you think it’s a bad idea? I feel absolutely awful 😣

Nature hike cloud up 2? And water filtration?

Thinking of purchasing this tent as much as much I love my OEX it’s just too heavy for long distance hiking and takes me a while to pitch up & pack.
Just wondering if anyone has this tent? Would it fit me, gear and doggo? How does it stand with our rain and wind?

It’s just such a good price esp on Amazon atm but I’m not completely convinced 😅

Ref- I’m 5ft2 petite and I have a 25kg dog, looking to go on a 4day hike in wales and lakes July/aug with 65L backpack.

Also best type of filtering bottles? I’ve seen some squeeze ones and self press bottles (I’m more directed towards self press bachgold or grayl) for both me and doggo.

Which career would be better? Asking nurses and social workers- registered professionals

Hi everyone! Little background about me.

37F. Over a decade in healthcare I’ve done everything from carer to independent support worker to NHS Healthcare assistant both wards and community.

I’m currently a support worker and just finished my year redoing my GCSES Math and biology. I’ve also been accepted to complete an access course into Nursing starting September.

Here’s the thing, I absolutely love healthcare but I’m not sure if I want to continue in the clinical field. Working as a HCA for NHS mainly district nursing and outpatient rehabilitation for 6yrs I’m not sure if I want to actually progress here.

One day I applied for social worker position with the council, I wasn’t aware of the vast diversity of roles that comes with it! This excites me but it also scares me because it’s out my expertise and experience.

Asking any qualified social workers, do you enjoy it? What is the work/life balance like? What do you struggle with? Do you loose sleep over cases? How pressured is it?

I guess with nursing, I feel safe and I’m very comfortable with handling clinical caseloads and patients. I throughly enjoy my time with patients. The thing is, I’ve personally first hand experienced the stresses of working in NHS even as an unregistered professional it eventually broke me, hence why I returned to support work. I don’t see it improving and if anything seems to be getting worse not improving when I left almost 5yrs ago.

I will be putting 4yrs of study (1yr access and 3yrs uni)

I would really appreciate any input from both professions thank you!

Kai’s first ⛰️ summit in wales!

Pen-y-fan (fan dance) in Brecon Beacons.

We have a 100 🇬🇧 mountain/hill challenge set to complete within couple years and he’s proved to be a mountain goat 🐐 along side his little sister 🤭 she is only 4 months old so can’t walk as far but is in good training!

Kai is a mix golden/working springer 💜

Adventure chi Yodi!! ⛰️

This weekend my mum brought me and my brother Kai to wales to summit a mountain! ⛰️

Mum called it a fan dance, funny name 🤭 a big hike with 3 peaks and the main mountain named Pen-y-Fan which is wales 2nd highest 😍

It is too far for me to walk as I’m still very young but I have a cosy carrier where I can take in all the views and mummy lets me climb the last 10 metres to every peak so I can learn to do it myself when I’m a big like my brother 🥳🥰

The best part, we had yummy snacks and fresh water at every peak 😋

Adventure chiiii Yodi!! 💜

My dear Yodi 4 months old already climbed 3 Tors in Dartmoor and wild camped 😍

With the support of her big brother she’s gaining incredible confidence and super social 🥰

I take my boy on 16km+ hikes and she comes with, of course I don’t let her hike the whole way, I pop her in my coat and she sleeps happily occasionally getting out for toilet, drink and snack 🥰

Bitter sweet birthday 💜

Happy 1st birthday to my gorgeous boy Kai 💜

It’s a bitter sweet day as today was also the day my precious Evie (5yo chi) passed unexpectedly at 1635 💜 this time last year I was in absolute turmoil for the next 3 months until this guy came swooping into my life.
(She passed whilst being spayed, anaphylaxis to the anesthesia)

We have celebrated his birthday by going for a big hike on the Moore’s and a steak dinner 🥹 I truly believe she sent him to me. I’d always had chihuahuas and always female.

One day aimlessly browsing for puppies totally numb, I saw him and knew in my heart he was for me. I drove 6hrs to north wales to collect him a week later and we haven’t looked back.

He’s the bestest boy 🫂 happy birthday and rest in peace my sweet angel Evie 💜

First wild camp in a decade 🫠 god I missed it!!!

Could no longer hold it back, soon as pay day came I spent all my money 😂

Bought tent off gumtree £100, I really do love OEX. It poured down all night and morning, stayed bone dry 👍

Some epic hiking and teaching myself navigation which I’ve never used before.

2days and nights, I was very sad packing up 🥲 itching to get out again! Also met a lovely couple who were also wild camping and pitched up on the opposite side. Gave them my eggs when I was leaving 😂

I’m poor for the rest of the month but I’m very happy 🥰

Beginner advice-equipment for me 🙏

I’m 36 f, not a total novice for camping as I’ve done a lot of overnight carp fishing with an ex partner and the odd camping holiday with friends, all this over a decade ago.

I absolutely loved being outdoors in my 20s but life does get busy, I’m getting the itch again. I’ve never soloed camped and I’d I’ll like to hit wales wild camping this summer/autumn.

I live in Devon so many spots here to practice.
Any good (budget) lightweight tents that’ll fit me and my 25kg golden mix dog, I’m only 5ft2 so nothing too crazy.
Must have equipment that will fit a 50L bag?
Food to pack? 5-6day adventure.

Poor baby 🥲 advice for hot weather 🙏

28c today, we went out this morning 6am for 1.2hrs, I should of stayed out longer as he normally has 3 walks all at least 1hr.

It’s far too hot to go our usual places. I was thinking of the woods? It has many shallow creeks and safe swim spots very shaded would it be ok? I’ve always had chihuahuas that handle the heat well.
He’s my first big hairy boy, golden/springer I just feel terribly guilty 😭
