I am trying to make a hollow (it's not hollow yet) half sphere with irregularly placed holes along it's surface.
The goal is to put a light inside it and it'll project stars into a dark room. I have already tried project curve and split line which puts the circles where I want but I am unable to make cuts through the half sphere with them.
I was able to get it to work with individual holes by using a tangent reference plane but I don't want to do that for every single star.

How do I do this better?
