Kilburn II. Anyone knows what this means? A chime every 30 seconds or so. Not exact…

So this just started happening and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried everything Google suggested.

Reset the speaker with power on, volume at 5, holding Bluetooth button for the 20-30 seconds.

Remove and re-add the speaker on 2 separate phones.

Replace the battery. Actually just replace the cells. I guess I can try replacing the whole battery with the board on the battery…

Happens only when plugged in with AC. If I remove the AC and let it run on battery, it doesn’t make the chime.

The chime is not Bluetooth connect or disconnect sound. It’s not the charging sound either as I remove the AC and plug it back in, it makes a different chime…

Anyone have any ideas?

This TV is amazing! 6 years old 65”CX streaming 4k 120hz HDR from my PC.

I capped the fps to 116 because I read it’s better? It’s buttery smooth nonetheless and this has spoiled me from playing any AAA games on anything less.

Only thing it needed was a 1gb Ethernet to USB dongle. Got the Amazon basic one and works perfectly PnP.

Would a RTX 3050 + i3 8350K be enough to stream 4K HDR @120hz?

So I have a LG OLED (CX) and it currently works perfectly fine with streaming 4K 120hz SDR. Once I enable HDR, the decoding latency pretty much doubled from 8~15ms to 16~25+ms. It's still sorta acceptable for responsiveness but the picture just isn't as smooth even though there's no network drop and network latency is <1ms. The streaming frame rate is sustained at 116fps (capped with riva turner). When I pan back and forth, it isn't as smooth as SDR. I'm pretty sure I'm hitting the limit with the TV's decoder.

I have a PC next to the TV that acts as a server for my files but it doesn't have dedicated graphics. So I'm wondering if I buy a 3050 (cheapest card that can do 4k 120), will the decoding latency be very low (less than 10ms) with the rest of my setup when doing HDR?

Edit: I should clarify that this is the client machine.

Edit 2: I fixed the issue. I forgotten I had set the bitrate in moonlight to 350 mbps. I lowered it to 300mbps and now the decoding latency is hovering around 7.8 to 10ms. No change to image quality and it's buttery smooth again. I googled and max it would need is 200 mbps so I have a lot of room overhead. I'll try to change it to 250 mbps tonight and see if I can get the decoding latency even lower without impacting quality.

Was hungry and ordered a double whopper but got a single… 😢

Don’t find out until I got home… Already contacted support… my location messes up often.

This came in for repairs. Found this battery inside. Swipe to see real capacity.

I thought 1600 mAh was a bold claim. This is the first I’ve seen that’s so high. Might as well put 28000 mAh. 😂

At least it’s marginally higher than the original 600 mAh.

EDIT: The device is a battery charger. But I hacked it so there's a universal battery holder for GBASP, DSL, etc. batteries. It is wired to port 3 on the charger.

Edit 2: So for anyone wondering how I’m doing this, I bought this like 3 years ago. It worked ok but it didn’t have any real numbers I can track charging intake. So I bought the bigger one and then hacked them together so I can monitor charging. Simple connection from the prongs on the universal charger to the large charger and now I can see some stats. The prongs on the universal charger kinda sucks tbh. I had to glue them down so they don’t move around but it fits pretty much all the handheld batteries like DS, DSL, GBASP, 3DS. etc.

Why is my typing box in messages all squashed on desktop?

I tried clearing cookies and tried on Chrome and Brave. Both do this.... what the heck??

Update: It's been fixed.

Aliexpress digital microscope recommendations?

Anyone have one of these or similar? Preferability, I would like one with just the scope and displays the image on a monitor without any noticeable latency. I'm willing to spend up to $200.

I won't be doing any kind of super difficult work. Just the usual HDMI/USB repairs, LCD/touchscreen connectors, inspecting for broken traces and vias, and sometimes replacing IC chips on DS and GBs.
