Help me!! I'm scared about dementia or MS
[23 - Male] It all started on Saturday, June 26. I woke up with pain in the back of my neck, a cough, and something felt wrong with my tongue. Whenever I spoke, my tongue would move between my teeth on the left side of my mouth, almost as if it were partially paralyzed. However, it didn't interfere with chewing or swallowing. I became very worried, and the following week I saw a neurologist. Since I had Guillain-Barré syndrome when I was 5 years old, I was concerned that it could be something neurological.
I was afraid it might be dysarthria, so I scheduled an appointment for July 7. The neurologist performed a neurological examination, and everything was normal. He also evaluated me for dysarthria and ordered a brain MRI with contrast to rule out multiple sclerosis. I had the MRI done that same week and brought the results back to him on July 13.
By the time of my follow-up appointment, my tongue had returned to normal, but I had developed a new symptom: a persistent lump-in-the-throat sensation (globus sensation). The MRI results were completely normal, and no abnormalities were found. Since I was still coughing, the neurologist prescribed a five-day course of an anti-inflammatory medication and an antibiotic. I completed the treatment and noticed a slight improvement in my cough.
However, after that week, I started noticing something unusual. I've been forgetting basic things, such as going to take a shower and forgetting to bring a towel, or struggling to remember the names of famous actors. I eventually remember them, but it takes much longer than it used to. I also feel that my thinking has become slower. Reading has become difficult, and sometimes I struggle to formulate sentences. Occasionally, I stumble over my words or mix up similar words, which never used to happen before.
It's also worth mentioning that ever since the week my tongue symptoms began, my anxiety has been extremely high. I've lost about 6 kg since then. I also saw another doctor in my city, who ordered a comprehensive panel of blood tests to check my vitamin levels.
I have a constant feeling that something is seriously wrong. Yesterday, my left foot suddenly became very warm for about five seconds, and both of my arms developed a burning sensation. I exercise regularly and haven't noticed any decrease in my strength or physical performance.
Overall, I'm extremely worried about what this could or could not be. I'm afraid that I might be developing dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or the early stages of multiple sclerosis. I'm only 23 years old, and there is no family history of dementia.

Primeira vez fazendo pão de queijo, servidos?
Para quem tem interesse na receita:
Ingredientes:
3 ovos
500g Povilho azedo

Tongue issues
Hello, 24M. Since last week I’ve become very focused on strange sensations involving my tongue and speech. It started with a feeling like my tongue was moving differently inside my mouth while talking, especially touching the back teeth on the left side in a way that felt unusual to me.
Since noticing it, I’ve become hyperaware of every movement my tongue makes. Sometimes speaking feels slightly “heavy” or different, almost like there’s something in my mouth interfering with the words, even though people around me say my speech sounds normal.
I also noticed that when I stick my tongue out or hold it tense, it can shake/tremble a little. After searching online, I started panicking and reading about neurological diseases, which made my anxiety much worse. Now I constantly check my tongue in the mirror and pay attention to how I speak and swallow throughout the day.
The strange part is that I don’t have actual weakness, choking, slurred speech, or real difficulty swallowing. I can still eat, drink, move my tongue normally, and communicate "fine". The symptoms also seem much worse when I’m anxious or actively thinking about them.
I recently went to a neurologist and underwent a brain MRI with contrast. I’m currently waiting for the results, which I should receive next week.
