Hallo zusammen! :)

I enrolled in a PhD because I didn’t have any job offer and I cannot stay in Germany without a visa. Being a latina female expat. I did a masters in Germany and didn’t find a full time job afterwards. Now, I have 8 months in the PhD and it’s going well. However, I’m still applying for roles in the industry because it’s what I wanted from the beginning. Do you think should I continue looking for something else, or give up and finish my 4y period for the PhD? I hope you had some real experiences in that regard, thanks :)

I think I’ll start applying to other countries, which ones do you recommend for Pharma/Healthcare/Medtech, and that are suitable for Non EU and female citizens. Thank you 🙏🏼
Every Friday is a new rejection message, even for this role, which I’m under qualified 🥲 what’s going on wrong? Share your Friday rejections here..
I’m a chemist with experience in R&D pharma industry from my country. Came to Germany to do the master in Biomedical field. Now, in Germany I have been working mostly for Data Science roles and not lab at all. I got an offer at BI for lab technical assistant using HPLC. I rejected because of my experience and path is a bit different. Now I feel bad for it mostly because of the job market, I’m not so sure if I’ll find something else like this. Should I move to lab and apply to big pharma companies? Should I forget about data science roles?
I’m applying to some positions at Boehringer Ingelheim, and I wanted to know if someone is working there, that can give me a referral in the positions I applied for. Thanks a lot!!! I really appreciate it.
Bitte nenn mir konkrete Firmennamen. Vielen Dank!
I’m applying for data/pharma roles in Germany and keep seeing advice to message hiring managers on LinkedIn. Does this actually help?
Do you respond to these messages? What works vs. what feels annoying? Thnx
Danke euch!
I’ve got a contractor offer for Boehringer Ingelheim as a Technical assistant. I’ve decided to rejected because I’m doing a PhD and basically the salary is almost same, and that position would be for lab and without requiring a degree. So I have faith in getting something better and appropriate for me. But I feel bad when people here are struggling for finding jobs 😥 how to make this feeling away?
I have a background in Chemistry and now doing a PhD in medical physics, basically image processing and data science. I’m hesitating about this career path because I’ve seen data science is being killed by AI era. What are your thoughts about the new skills one should have that are more valuable than data science itself? Thanks.
